I have to say this place is a little hidden gem here in Mesquite. From the authentic Decour friendly atmosphere and of course the food is delicious. My experience here was very good. I’ve already been recommending it to all of my friends.

Excellent gyros. I ate everything even the Pita bread, which I usually don’t. Salad was very refreshing. They gave me a free dessert at the end of my meal, which was a very nice touch.

The lamb chops are as good as the owner claimed in his menu. Eat $ 42 lamb chops then eat his then tell the difference. Staff was very friendly. We were offered good samples. Left the place happy and full.

This place is amazing. The staff is very friendly and the food is to die for. Best authentic Greek food I have had. The owner/cook talked with us while he was cooking and then stopped by our table to see how our food was. I love the atmosphere here. If you want a place that you get top notch service and delicious food at the same time, this is definitely the place!

Great food! I had the gyros plate. It came with fries, Greek salad, gyros and sauce. Victoria was very friendly. While waiting she gave me a meatball soup to try. The chef also dropped by my table to check if he did a good job with the food. I told him it was excellent. Victoria also had me try the honey puffs with cinnamon. Great experience! I’ll come back here to try the lasagna!

Best Greek food I have had in a long time. Fantastic family owned business. Authentic and amazing. Ask the owner or server what he recommends, you won’t be disappointed.

Our first time eating here, they brought out complimentary soup for us to try and talked to us about Greek food and culture. The staff was so warm and welcoming and the food was authentic and fresh. I almost feel guilty finding a new Greek place better than Atheneos(which I frequent regularly). Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Decided to stop in here while moving across the country instead of stopping off the freeway at a chain restaurant. Read the reviews and was certainly not disappointed. The food is fantastic and there is a nice feel in the restaurant, but the service is what took it above and beyond for me. It was a little slow when I was in, but all 3 people working checked in at every table to make sure everything was enjoyable. When they checked on me, we had a great conversation and after hearing about my drive, the chef had to make sure I was taken care of. After eating my plate of pork shawarma and pita and hummus(both excellent), I was offered a bowl of soup as well as multiple helpings of the pastry dessert on the house. All in all a great feel to this restaurant and the best service imaginable. It’s not very often you get to sit and eat with the chef and get taken care of like that.

Best food we’ve had since we moved to DFW! Fresh and tasty not greasy –an anomaly for Mesquite– AMAZING. Friendly people, such good vibes you can tell this place has regulars. The pics don’t lie the food is so fresh and delicious. Small but quaint, you can tell the owners really care about their customers. My husband and I will DEF be back!

The ambiance is perfect. As genuine as possible given that we are in Texas. The food is delicious and the servings are generous. The owner came and talked to us and was very welcoming. Definitely recommend.

A truly charming and delightful dining experience. If you live in the Dallas area and enjoy Greek food, this place is a MUST. No corporate food chain BS here — just authentic Greek food prepared and served by a very pleasant Greek family– it’s obvious that they genuinely care about the food they are preparing and your satisfaction. The result is a rare and enjoyable dining experience that is hard to find elsewhere — during my visit, the husband and wife owners cooked and waited on us — very sweet. The surroundings — unpretentious. The food — wonderful. The owners — joyful people who clearly love what they are doing. A classic Unilocaler’s restaurant.

What a great Greek place! Service is top notch, waiters are so friendly and very attentive. The cook seemed like he really loved what he was doing, which is so nice to see. The food is fantastic! Made fresh and so good! I had the original gyro and the sauce is superb. The hummus & pita bread is also a must try. Definitely make a stop at this place. You will not be disappointed. Keep up the great work!

Drove from Dallas to try out House of Gyros. We had the soup, a dolma plate, original gyro wraps, and honey puffs. The meatball soup and honey puffs were complimentary which was completely unnecessary but added to the family feel of the small restaurant. The food is fantastic and you get such a good and caring vibe from the owner and his family. Can’t ask for more from a restaurant. Go here and enjoy your company, the food, and staff.

Looking for great Greek food out in the sticks of Mesquite, this is your place! We drove right past it the first time, had to circle back around which isn’t exactly easy because you have two one way streets divided by a block rather than two way traffic. Once we found it and were able to get to the parking lot the place was great. They appear to be new, still building, and decorating the place. The people were lovely, very kind, helpful and Greek! The food was good, I had the chicken slovaki with salad. It was very authentic Greek and tasted very good. Nothing fancy in the way of plates or cutlery but they are still finding their way. I had a coupon which is why we ventured out this far into the country side but it was well worth the drive. I do hope they have enough business to stay afloat.

There’s a reason why this place has 5 stars! The ambiance is so homey like and small. I love it! The service was on point! Our server was very patient and so hospitable, as so was everyone else. We were hungry(as usual) and being new in the area, I had no idea where to go. This little gem made Mesquite so much better! Phew! Saved me from feeling home sick. Any who!!! We ordered the dolma which was scrumptious! And we both ordered the gyro. It was a fat gyro and so filling! The meat was seasoned well and very soft. The dolma had a tangy just right taste. Oh!!! And Free honey puffs. Yup I said FREE! Woohoo! We will so be back! Thanks guys!!!

Two words… HEAVENLY and AUTHENTIC! I was wanting something different and we were in the Mesquite area. We went a little out of our way but it was SOWORTH it!!! I got the hamburger gyro and the flavor was packin’! It was hands down the best gyro I’ve ever had. So Good! The honey puffs are quite amazing too. It’s a little random building through Mesquite that can definitely go unnoticed if you didn’t know about it. It’s family owned and they are super friendly. Price is very reasonable. We paid $ 20 for 2 people. Don’t ignore this place… GONOW! It’s worth your time. We live 20 miles away and will be back often!
