Torrid

I never ever ever go to Town East Mall. This location is, however, closest to me and I figured that it would be quick and easy to run in and out. I was on a mission– looking for a great dress to wear for my birthday. I was greeted warmly and allowed to shop around without being overly pestered by the employees. I found a dress and a leather jacket (on sale in my size!).
When I started to check out the employees were all friendly and even let me play along in their styling competition they were having. It was the most enjoyable trip I’ve made to a clothing store in a while.

The selection at the store is not as good as the selection online. It was my first time coming to the store. I got a HELLO and that was it. Walked out 5 mins later.

I usually love Torrid and this one is no exception. Though I have been slightly disappointed in the selections the last couple times I’ve been in. I would like to see a little more «pin up» or «rockabilly» type clothing in here and less gothic or rock trash (for lack of a better word). I did pick up a couple things thought so it wasn’t a total loss stopping by! The staff at this location was alright but I have had friendly and more helpful staff in other locations.

I like Torrid, really I do. As far as plus-​size stores go, they are pretty cool. I will say that sometimes I don’t get some of their clothes or some of their prices. However, they do have some things that RoCk!
Places like Lane Bryant are OK, but if you’re a full-​figured girl who is a lil funky, LB typically doesn’t cut it. Enter… Torrid.
Want to get the ‘50s rockabilly look – check! Want some sexy thigh highs with bows that actually fit and stay up – check! Need a lil club hat to finish off that steam-​punk look – check! Want some of the cutest panties in town – from skulls to rock references – check!
I have more hose, dresses, and undies from this place than I can count. All have held up well. All always land me compliments. And overall, it’s a great store that every plus-​size girl under 40 or so should check out.
Bargainers: Head to the back of the store to the sales rack. There are always tons of fun finds to be salvaged from the overpacked racks.
