This is the real deal folks. Very good authentic food.

a coworker told me about this little hole-​in-​the-​wall peruvian restaurant so i had to give it a whirl. the señora working was super nice and i went with her recommendation of her favorite plate — lomo saltado. it was very good and filling: tomato, onion, lomo, fried potatoes, and rice. perfectly seasoned. me puso muy contento. my only regret was not ordering an inca kola. next time for sure.
if you go, know your peruvian comida terminology. the menu is without descriptions and is in spanish, so break out google if you need to but GO EAT HERE!!! it’s a nice change to see peruvian food around. it’s very traditional, in-​home family style meals and a very humble setting. i want to return for the caldo de res and an inca kola and support the señora’s efforts to bring a little bit of peru to metairie.
i also thoroughly enjoyed speaking spanish with the señora and a fellow patron. i really enjoyed my experience as a whole.
