Severe stomach pains on a weekday evening after my GP’s office was closed led to me to look for an urgent care clinic with extended hours and I ended up at Doctors Express. The office was very nice, new and clean. There was plenty of parking. Signing in was painless, there were no problems taking my insurance and I was taken back very quickly. The ladies at the front desk were extremely nice as was the nurse who took my vitals and got me situated in the exam room. For those reasons I give them 2 stars. I saw Dr. Gary. After a very brief exam, she told me that I would need to go to the ER for imaging, which they do not offer at Doctor’s Express. Okay, no problem. I told her that I would like to go to Touro because that’s where my regular doctor is located. Her response was, «You can go anywhere that your little heart desires.» Seriously? I’m writhing in agony on the exam table looking to her for help and she felt that an incredibly snarky response was the appropriate way to handle the situation. Not cool. I had such high hopes for Doctor’s Express based on the first portion of my visit. Unfortunately, I left extremely disappointed and quite upset because of the way I was treated by Dr. Gary.

This office is beautiful but wait time is HORRIBLE! Who really wants to be sick and sit in an urgent care office for hours? It’s almost 2 hours I have been here and I am still waiting to get my prescription. I was told I have strep throat but they don’t have the one time antibiotic shot so that means I will be taking pills for 10 days. Do yourself a favor and don’t come here :-(
