I really like the optometrist here(unfortunately I cannot remember his name, but next time I go in for a check-up I’ll update this review). He’s kind and professional, he asks the questions necessary and doesn’t try to make weird conversation beyond that(it’s so awkward when doctors are chatty while they’re looking in your mouth/eyeballs/bodily orifices, right?). My prescription came out right, that’s always a plus. The first(around March 2014) and every subsequent time I’ve been here(March 2015 and then a few times this fall 2015) there have been 2 people working here, a man and a woman. My first visit was actually his first day and it was quite tedious, as you might imagine navigating the Big Bad World of Vision Care Insurance might be. But hey, someone’s gotta be his first customer, and while it took a while all came out fine. Every visit since has been much more efficient, and even though I only come in once or twice a year, they both seem to recognize me and greet me with a friendly message. Unfortunately, I always manage to come after a long day of work and don’t have much friendly to say in return, but try to express my appreciation anyway. The selection for frames is pretty good but not great. There’s always some sort of sale going on for basic frames and lenses so if you don’t have vision insurance and need just some basic glasses this might be a good place to try out – you can usually get a full pair for abut $ 100. And if you do have insurance with a limited frame allowance or budget, this is a good place too because there is a wide range of prices for frames so you should find one within your budget. If you don’t have a frame allowance at all, you can bring in your own frames and have prescription lenses made to fit them, even get them tinted to make prescription sunglasses for a small fee!
