My girlfriend & I had the roast beef po boy. Yum. Right on Causeway Blvd. They make tasty doughnuts too.

Great donuts, great service, and great locals hunched over the counter. They have great sour cream donuts, donut holes, and the best maple-bacon long johns in the city. They are super affordable and in a great location if you’re traveling around Metry or headed for the Causeway. I’ve never ordered the hot food because I’m usually in a hurry, but the donuts are great.

Come here for the donuts. Go elsewhere for food. This is the second time I’ve eaten here. Never had a salty and greasy omelette before. Until now. The cook said its from the ham. Ugh… I tried to eat it, but can’t.

After a late night my friends and I were STARVING. We stopped by Joe’s Café in Metairie for some food. I’m always pretty skeptical about late night food and how much love and care is put into it(especially at 3:30AM on a weekend). I was SO surprised. The presentation was good and the food was delicious! I really loved the Fried Pork Chop and I couldn’t get over the butteriness and crispiness of that biscuit that came with it. Next time you’re searching for late night bites, try Joe’s Café. The cashier and girl working the kitchen that night were super friendly! Click here for photos:

Friendly staff and always open! If you didn’t know breakfast is my favorite meal of the day(not sure why since my favorite foods are BBQ, steaks, and gumbo). I enjoy the consistency of breakfast and Joe’s is pretty reliable in the breakfast department. They have good donuts but unfortunately not a big variety of donuts. They also serve hot food till 9pm every day. Joe’s is a 24⁄7 spot that has its regulars. I enjoy going to little cafes like Joe’s that has good food and a great clientele.
