King Buffet

We ate here on a Sunday right at 11 am opening and it was all very fresh and good. I think it’s a but pricey but it is a buffet so that’s to be expected. Good deal I guess for big eaters. The pot stickers are delicious and Kung pao beef. Very good overall food and service.

It is what it is, and what it is is a Chinese buffet. If you’re looking for fancy cooking or authentic ethnic food, you’ll be sorely disappointed. It’s a place to fill up at a reasonable price.

3 because of pricing. There are three bars, the first has soul food, the second various cooked meats and Mexican food and the third salad and dessert. Definitely a good place to go when you are starving and want to eat a meal big enough to last you the rest of the evening but also don’t want to be bothered. Not touristy at all. There was never more than ten other people eating. Intimate setting. Quiet and a big space that is nicely decorated. Clean. Ate here a total of three times when I resided in Algiers for 2 months. Would not return as a visitor but if I were to stay for an extended amount of time I would drop by.

Ick ick ick. Can I give no stars? It was dirty, the food was soggy and gross. Maybe this is how asian buffets go in the New Orleans area, but it was no bueno for me.

NEVER again will we visit this establishment!!! It was good back in the day (years ago). This place is fallen apart, rotting, the windows are rotten and holding water from the inside. There is a horrid mold, mildew smell in the restaurant. I don’t know how the health department has NOT shut this place down.

You are not going to believe this… but this time I have to RAISE my vote. Maybe Unilocal is making a difference. I was starving today since I didn’t think I had to work this morning and turned out I did. So after, I was driving home and realized my 3 strike rule… if I love a restaurant, I will be afraid upon the third try because it usually tanks. Noticeable acceptations being Churro’s café, which makes us more welcome each time… Give us free-​bee amazing bread on occasion and constantly tell us we SHOULD be Cuban since we eat like them. (woot!) and is one of the best places we have eaten in the area at ALL. If you are from up north;…if seems like comfort food, Seriously. But I digress…(need to do another Churro’s review)…
Believe it or not, SOMEONE at King Buffet must be looking at our reviews. I went there with low blood sugar and a sick stomach and left there having eaten a 6−7/of 10 meal… Better than anything I ever gave before.
King Buffet is still a buffet and still offers many things under spiced… But offers an assortment of spicy foods and spicy sauces to top things off.
It’s almost like they really did listen. It’s still not on par with a really brilliant Asian restaurant of any ilk… but it’s pretty much spot on for a simple lunch before getting back to work.
Because to make it truly perfect, you will have to add enough spices to mess your booty up an hour later to have it truly authentic… But I do believe they may be trying harder now,.
But again… if you want something different but still amazing to behold, Churro’s is the best place ever. See my updated review. You won’t hate it. :P

I went to this place due to the high Unilocal rating — what a mistake.
The food was OK at best (though it was plentiful). The service for drinks was poor, and so were the tables and chairs/​benches.
I went there because I was looking for some good Chinese food and it was close enough.
I would probably have given it one star but don’t want to seem vindictive, plus there are probably some folks who want lots of food, regardless of the quality.

How in the WORLD has this place not been reviewed yet?
Hands down the best chinese buffet on the east bank by far! Food is very delicious and chicken items are not overy breaded.
Sushi here is also super delicious as it is fresh made. Quality of the fish is very decent considering this is a buffet.
Reccomended especially for big families and groups of people. YOu will surely get your mney’s worth!
