My boyfriend and I went there Sunday to watch LSU baseball. We ordered 1 bloody mary and 1 glass of wine. Decided to leave to run and errand then return later for remainder of game. Went to tab out and cost was $ 19 for two drinks. Walked outside and showed my boyfriend and like myself thought that was high for 2 drinks. He went back inside to get a print out showing cost of drinks. Seems bartender charged for a double Grey Goose bloody mary, which is not what he ordered. When he went back inside to talk to bartender about it she said: «That’s what you get if you dont specify.», which is not an appropriate answer. We left. I decided to call and ask to speak to the manager. She(the bartender answered the phone) and said there was no manager there for me to speak to. I told her I saw a couple of guys that were going around asking everyone is everything was okay so I was sure one was a manager or an owner. She kept telling me there was no one there. I insisted on speaking with one of them. Finally one person did come to the phone, said his name was Darren and he was one of the owners. I told him about what the bartender had done and told my boyfriend and how she had lied about there being anyone there for me to speak to. He apologized and said he would speak to her about it and offered us to come back and he would comp us one round. We went back. He was very friendly and apologized again and ordered our drinks. He did say though that the bartender was not admitting she had done wrong. We sat down and had our drinks brought by someone else. Finally the bartender came to us to apologize for her actions which turned out to be a non-apology. My boyfriend told her he didn’t order a double to which her replay was«Well you didn’t order a single.» I don’t know of any bar you go to that will assume you are ordering a double if they don’t ask you. If that is standard practice there should be a sign up stating: All drink orders are doubles and top brand unless you specify otherwise. I then asked her a couple of times why she lied about no one being there for me to speak to when I called and she would never answer. She just kept up with«you didn’t specify you wanted a single or that you didn’t want Grey Goose.» If I were the owners, I would keep a watch on her. She argued with the owners about it and still was non-apologetic to the customers. Be wary when you go to this place if a red-headed bartender is working.

I work nearby, and this is a great place to grab a reasonably priced drink and burger for lunch or after work. The people who work here are friendly. I know a few people who go here quite often and love the burgers.

Decent lunch or after work drink spot if you work on or near the causeway area(Metry CBD). They have a variety of menu items from your typical bar fare to more sophisticated entrees including wraps, salads and New Orleans food. The servers and bartenders are friendly and the prices are good. The inside is spacious and even though its dark it doesn’t feel or look dingy. They also have a nice outside patio area for nice weather days. The daily specials are worth a look as well.

The place is a lot better than the stupid name implies. It’s a good after work watering hole with good prices and great girls behind the bar– cute and loads of personality. They even have decent wine if that’s your bent. I have only eaten here one time, but the hot dogs I had were really good. A friend comes here a lot to watch football and he says it’s one of the better places for that too. One other great quality is that this place is non smoking!

They have nice cougars that work here and daily lunch specials that seem decent to good. They just seem to have gotten a bit lazy with some of their specials(as an example the Tuesday pot roast special comes with mashed potatoes and carrots so while the pot roast is decent they could really add another vegetable to make it a more balanced meal). They have«ok» burgers and po boys with fries that are a bit small and short. The bar seems like a three star joint at least with lots of televisions and it would probably be an interesting place to watch a Saints game but there were no other people in the joint when I was there. The main thing I don’t like about this joint is that it’s in a strip mall and I just hate strip malls! They have somehow managed to build a small little side courtyard even with their limited strip mall options but without further evidence I would have to say this a two star place to me overall.

My favorite watering hole. Some of the better bar food around to complement the lively bar staff.
