I go here every time I want a lung full of air conditioning that smells like chlorine. There is nothing quite like walking into this store. It smells so strongly that it makes my eyes burn.
In the winter time, the heat plus the chlorine makes my throat hurt.
This store is small but clean and brightly lit. There are chemicals, toys, floats, some parts and other interesting things that you didn’t know you needed for your swimming pool. They offer water testing, I’m pretty sure it is free. I cannot comment on the knowledge of the employees because I do not care for our pool, my husband does.
Most of the staff is polite and friendly, especially Curly. I have not had a bad experience in here in more than a year, although I quit going for a while due to some horrendous issues with a man who worked in there.
I like to wander around while I’m in there rifling through the items on the clearance table and trying to figure out what they are.

If I could give no stars I would. I will NEVER go into this store again. This is the second time over the last few years I have been given advice by this store and found myself spending days (and lots of money) to get my pool back to pre-Leslie’s condition. The first time, I went back and bought the very expensive «fix» items from Leslie’s, but not this time! Ladner’s is the best pool place in New Orleans and they ask a lot more questions before suggesting radical treatments that wreck your pool. Leslie’s is all about sales, Ladner’s is about service.

I have always had the best customer service here. Go see Curly. He has been there probably about 10 yrs now and he knows everything about pools and how to take care of them properly. Not sure who Randy T. dealt with on his visit and during his phone call but every time I go the employees there are all very helpful and nice.

This establshment has serious customer service issues. Stopped by last summer to replenish my test kit re-​agents and was very rudely interrupted by some wannabe manager that I needed to purchase a new one. I wrote corporate about this manager and received a reply and a note that district manager was going to look into it. Just recently called to check availability on a part and after numerous rings the same rude store manager answered, gave her the part number I needed and she put me on hold for more than 10 minutes. Normally I dont mind but since I was calling long distance she shoulda notified me if she was helping a customer and offered to call me back.
Leslies used to be the gold standard in the swimming pool industry but have really gone downhill with their poor customer service. I wont be surprised if their next on the bankrupt business list.
