This place is always my favorite to get pizza. Great atmosphere and pleasant service.

This is my first time to this location, and I did to go. So my review is just based on that experience. I thought that it was really cool that its upstairs and the entrance is pretty grand. The have a huge front space that I guess is for big parties that overlooks Veterans and is really nice. I got the Bayou Blue pizza and am really impressed. The shrimp are big and the flavor is delicious. Also, they have REDBULL! SUGARFREE, TOO! Service was really great just for being a to-go order. I was greeted by all 5 people that I came into contact with. Will def be back.

Pretzels were as good as usual. Pizza with shrimp, artichoke, spinach and olive oil base was delicious! Extremely generous size slices and large shrimp.

My 3 yr old wanted pizza so here we are. We got a veggie, a cheese, and a philosophers pie pizza. Also the spinach dip. The app was good and so were the first 2 pizzas. Philosophers pie pizza was not to my liking but it was just me not liking the combination of ingredients. The food came out very fast and was all correct. We did loose our waitress for a while which was weird bc we were 1 of 3 tables there at that time. Though she was pleasant when she was there.

Overpriced food. We were charged for extra salad dressing and onions for the salad. The pizza was not great, service not the best. Will not go back.

Ordered to go pizza and decided to build our own after not seeing a Margherita pizza. We went with the olive oil and garlic base, fresh mozzarella, basil and added grilled chicken. The menu does not have the prices for add ons and now we know why. The pizza was ridiculous and couldn’t have imagined it being a $ 31 pizza. Basil was $ 5, grilled chicken was $ 8, and mozzarella was $ 3.29. The little amount of basil being that much was over the top and the out of the bag chicken from Sysco at 8 just made me angry. The bartender was very nice and tried to empathize with me in giving me more basil. I will never again step foot here due to the high prices on food that was mediocre at best. Be sure to ask prices on everything and don’t make the same mistake we did. So upset we wasted money here.

Alright here’s the rundown. The Greek salad is amazing! So is the magical mushroom soup. If I’m not in the pizza mood, their soup and salad is enough for me to make a lunch stop there. The pizza is pretty good. It’s def not my favorite, but it’s satisfying enough. They have a lot of really cool sounding pizzas on their menu(a bleu cheese one, a mushroom one, etc.), but no one ever wants to split one of those really unique ones with me. I’ve only had the mighty meaty, buffalo, bbq, and white pizza. They have really good lunch deals, the atmosphere is fun, and the service is usually pretty good. I did try the chicken wings one time, and I wasn’t crazy about those. They seem to have cool drink specials and fun activities(trivia night), but I haven’t been able to try those out yet.

Visited this place for the first time with some of my girlfriends. It was very nice and clean and I was glad they had a tv everywhere I looked so we could watch the Saints cream the Falcons. All their specialty pizzas sounded good. I got the house special which was delish. I’m glad they had personal size so we could each get whatever pizza we wanted. They even let you do half and half on personal size, like half house special and half veggie. They also did seperate checks for all 5 of us. Greg was our server, great customer service! They also have a big beautiful bar and outside seating available. Loved this place, will def be back. Maybe for the all you can drink wine on Tuesdays. They also seem to have specials going on everyday.

I prefer this location to the one on Oak because this is more of the Mellow Mushroom vibe I’m used to. it’s very relaxed and they dough is amazing. Since switching to a gluten free, vegan diet I will say their GF dough is decent. It’s not at all any comparison to their regular dough(as to be expected) but it gets the job done. They have a loarge selection of toppings, sauces and beers. They have a wonderful happy hour and they have trivia nights as well. I love that each tablet has their own TV because when dining with a toddler it’s very nice to be able to find a channel to distract them from the wait time. Their pizza’s are made to order so it’s very fast but it’s definitely worth the wait.

I dicovered this place on Unilocal,as I do for every new place I eat at! This was so, so. worth the trip here! Great selection of beers on tap and pizza… what more could you ask for? Great service with a smile and very helpful. Quick to get drink refills do to the small nature of the place. The pizza was hella’ good but this place… it’s about the pretzels! It doesn’t matter the flavor you get, just get them and put it in your mouth! THANKMELATER!

Was seated immediately, always awesome. Nice, clean, and air conditioned. Nice voodoo-hippy-neworleans-art on the walls with a sportsy vibe. Played the football on multiple screens. Waitress with red hair and glasses on 10÷5÷159pm shift was awesome. Good service, always nice and sweet and attentive. Pizza was good, Caesar salad was awesome. Drinks never went empty. It was a good choice for a casual night. Yay!

Being a fan of good pizza(not pizza hut, dominos, etc.) I finally tried Mellow Mushroom. It was pretty good. The crust was great. It was just a little much of it. it was nice and crisp with a nice soft inside. The toppings were super fresh. The red pizza sauce left a a bit to be desired, but the fresh toppings made up for that. The table serve was pretty slow. I went to the bar to check out what beers they had. The bartender was very helpful. He took the time to find out what I like in a beer and gave me some samples until I found the one I wanted. Overall, it not a bad place. I will probably go back but probably won’t be a regular.

A fan I am… I am a fan I’m not much on chains but there’s something about this small chain that makes you feel comfortable. I’ve been here a few times and I believe the first time i was there, the bartenders mother made a cake and was passing it out to people at the bar… honestly it was good as hell and I don’t believe she’s there anymore but wished she was so I could come across that situation again. The drinks are pretty good and always have some kind of special. Actually last night«Thursdays» was $ 2 Flavored Martini night… seriously, how can you beat that even if it’s basic. The few dishes I’ve had which were the Baked wings, Thai calzone, chicken hoagie, all were a plus and I was fully satisfied, also to mention, the bartenders have been consistently cool. Thumbs up to MM for sure

I gotta confess, after a few friends’ ravings over this place… I was not impressed. Prices. Prices. Prices. You gotta be kidding me! For what I paid for a MEDIUM calzone with pepperoni, mushroom and olives, I was expecting the best damn calzone I’ve ever had in my life. Well, I guess it was. But that’s really only because I don’t eat that many calzones and the next best calzone I ever had in my life was less that a quarter of the price! Come on! My girlfriend got a pizza that would have cost like, $ 10 at domino’s and would have tasted the same, if not better for less than half the price. The ONLY thing I liked about Mellow Mushroom was the beer selection. For some reason, lots of people aren’t carrying Spaten Lager anymore, and they had it, so… that was good. Slash the prices, guys. I realize to be in such a large building your profit margin has to be high in order to pay the rent, but normal people don’t give a crap about gluten-free and all that non-sense and would rather pay the prices for delivery or a buffet than sit down at an upscale pizza joint that serves beer.

I have been to this location several times now, some in the evening at dinner time, some for lunch, during the week and on weekends. Service is friendly, the restaurant is neat and clean. Evening weekends are generally the loudest, as this is really a great place for families and large groups. Last night, the host was kind(I was eating alone) and put me in the corner away from the large groups so I could read in some peace. I had the small buffalo chicken pizza with the swirl of blue cheese dressing. It was pretty darn awesome, and as usual, I had leftovers for the next day. I do like this restaurant.

If you have never eaten at the mellow mushroom chain, I suggest you do. I have never been disappointed by this chain of restaurants, from the quality of their food to the restaurant staff, this chain is great! On my way back to the hotel I noticed that there was a Mellow Mushroom close by, so I had to check it out. Each restaurant has their own special theme and this particular one Supported the musical jazz theme doing and excellent job with creativity As I walked into the restaurant I noticed it wasn’t very crowded probably because it was a Sunday afternoon around 5pm and the afternoon lunch rush was gone. I noticed that the Bloody Mary’s were on special for $ 5 so I decided to try it out and sat myself at the bar. The Bloody Mary was perfect!!! Not to spicy with just enough to alcohol and garnished with veggies. loved it so much I had to have two. Hats off to the bar tender, well done. I wasn’t very hungry so I ordered their Greek salad with extra blue cheese. This was very fresh and tasty and was almost to much food for me to finish, but I persevered as it tasted so good! Pros: MILITARYDISCOUNT

Stop in for lunch, Hostess was very rude. Throw the menus on the table and walked away. No enjoy your meal. Nothing. Waitress was also short and rude. Why is Pork chop in the service industry? Why? Soup arrived cold… Why is the mushroom soup 4.95 but the soup of the day is 7.95? Make no sense at all. Salad bowls have shrink. Very upsetting when the salad arrived… Will stick with the Oak Street location… Customer Service is horrible at Vets location.

I was pretty disappointed by this Mellow Mushroom. I had a white pizza, and it just wasn’t satisfying or fulfilling. Not in flavor or amount. And we got a hummus plate and pretzels. Hummus was a bit grainy and plain. And the ‘pita’ was pizza dough. And the pretzels were also just plain pizza dough. Idk, maybe I just ordered the wrong things.

I have pretty mixed feelings about this place. I am a big Rotolo’s and Theo’s pizza fan myself so I can’t help but to compare this place by those standards and kind of shrug my shoulders like«ehh, it’s aight.» Actually, I thought the wings here were better than the actual pizza itself. I don’t know how to explain it. The pizza just is not memorable for me and I wish I could be more specific and helpful than that but I think it’s really just one of those weird things where you can’t explain why a particular restaurant doesn’t do it for you, but it just doesn’t. I used to go to the Mellow Mushroom in Baton Rouge all the time when I was in college for their drink specials and the pizza was sort of an after thought. However, this location is a bit more family friendly despite having a wicked nice looking bar area. I hear they have a wine special now but despite this placing literally being down the street from my work, I just don’t feel compelled to go back and check it out. The servers here are VERY young. Like, as in, this is probably their first restaurant job(or job in general) young. Which is fine but don’t expect any amazing service. They mostly just huddle around and chat with each other and text on their phones but… hey…they are literally just kids right? Plus, Mellow Mushroom kind of has this whole«we aren’t condoning marijuana usage but we are all super obsessed with the Bob Marley vibe» so it’s not like they are advertising a snappy workforce here. In fact, the décor in this location is WAY nicer than the one I went to in Baton Rouge. So that’s gotta give it some points. Here is the deal: I think this place is great if you are just a high school/college kid looking for a place to go and eat some pizza and hang out with your friends… and you are not really looking for any life changing pizza quality experience. If I had kids, I would probably be more into this place. But, for me, as it is, I’m just not feeling it.

This location is where the old borders used to be. I was with a party of about 15 and we were seated on the balcony. We had called ahead and made reservations. The balcony is pretty cool since it has sliding doors that can enclose it when the weather isn’t so nice. It was one of the warmer days this winter so they had the sliders open but the waitress offered to close them if we wanted. They took our orders and then the waitress asked if it was okay to just start bringing food out. My friend seated next to me and I didn’t get our food until a full 30 – 40 mins after the first plate was brought out. Almost all of our group were done eating by the time our food was brought out. I had the philly steak. It was pretty good. The cheese was a little lacking in the pull department… frozen mozzarella maybe? The waitress who handled the drinks was very nice and kept my drink topped off. My big gripe is… they DON’T have sweet tea! ARGH!!! Mommy notes: Plenty of napkins, clean bathrooms, kids can fit between the sliding doors and railings on the balcony but adults cannot. Eep!(At Least it wasn’t my Things doing that!)
