Dear Nola Nerd, When I dropped off my hard drive you said it would be ready in a couple weeks. It has been a couple months. I have been trying to contact you for over a month now. You do not answer or return calls no matter how many messages I leave. When I go by the shop you are not there(but one time there was a note taped to the door by a customer who said that you are unreachable and have had his computer for far too long and he would like it back.) You seemed very trustworthy in person and assured me that my hard drive and the photos on it would be fine, then you disappeared. I have never left a bad Unilocal review before and I feel bad doing it but if you don’t respond to my messages maybe you will respond to this. I will take this down when I get my equipment returned to me not in worse shape than I left it with you. In case you have too many customers like me to be able to tell who I am. My name is sunshine. My computer wasn’t charging so I took it to BestBuy. I knew there must be other computer repair places but I’m new in town. I haven’t seen any places while driving around, so there I was listening to some know it all punk at the Geek Squad counter. See GeekSquad review for complete story. As he types up my information, I asked how long the repair would take. 2 – 4 weeks he quotes. I quickly jump on my iphone to find another repair shop. Top results revealed Nola Nerd. «Free diagnosis!» I call and not only are they open, on a Friday afternoon, but they guy was polite and patient. He gladly says«bring it over!». Once I arrived, they gave me a simple form to fill out as they opened my comptuer on the spot. Quick look doesn’t give them the information they need. Although they don’t know for sure till they open it up all the way, its likely the reciever he says. He explains the possibilities, with repair times and costs. He tells me he will let me know today what the issue is for sure. Within 45minutes, I got a phone call, and not only had he diagnosed the issue, he repaired the computer. I was told it was fixed and I could come pick it up! Disclaimer *Results are probably not typical*. They obviously weren’t too busy and were able to work on the computer right away. They also just happen to have the spare part my computer needed. They don’t keep inventory so I really lucked out there. But, for my experience. THESEGUYSROCK!
