**I lowered the rating from 3 stars to 2 because despite the fact that I found what I wanted and got what I needed, I got the feeling that I was invading the employees time and space. One star for them being open and a second star for having what I needed in stock.** I like what they have done with the interior. When they gave this entire strip mall a small face lift when the grocery went in next door, they seem to have updated the interior as well. This Office Depot is located in an L-shaped strip mall with the Fresh Market at one end and a Rite Aid at the other. HUGE parking lot. Great entrances and exits on to Veterans and the side streets. This store was typical of the chain, well stocked, clean, wide aisles, strange carpeting on the floor. The staff members looked bored and uninterested in even talking to each other, which was odd because they weren’t even playing on their phones. They must have been really unhappy. I wonder what makes them that way. I came in this last Saturday, wasn’t greeted upon entry and not asked if I needed anything and barely spoken to on the way out. They were not busy when I came in during the mid-afternoon. Anyway, I will be back if what I am looking for can’t be found at a more locally owned store, or if a lower priced item is needed.

When did office supply s becone so expensive? Haven’t bought any in a while so maybe it’s that thing called inflation. This was definitely an older location but everyone was friendly and helpful m

Would you believe that during early Katrina recovery this was the nearest office supply store for people in New Orleans proper? Flash forward to eight years later(and at least one remodel) and you get a place more focused on trying to sell you service plans for your technology than actually helping you. Yes, there are some people on the sales floor that want to help you find a solution to your needs, but most of them are juts gunning for the commission. Why do I need a three year service plan on a shredder that already have a four year warranty? But when you get down to it this is still one of the better places to get actual office supplies, especially for the hectic back to school season. So, not a total loss.

Only black Friday location I encountered with no crowd. That’s right… no crowd. Not sure why people in search of laptops and tablets wouldn’t think to go there. Five minutes before opening, there were only about 10 customers! The staff members were very knowledgeable of the products and genuinely friendly. They helped each customer locate the items in the store. I mentioned I was going to get one item from Office Max’s doorbuster sale. They offered to match Office Max’s price. Norton N360 for $ 19.99!
