When faced with what seemed overwhelming problems with flies at a restaurant. PESTOP broke it down to very easy to understand processes to take controll over our problem. I could not get a better explanation and reasons not to get the cheaper versions from the big box home improvement stores. Thanks for your help.

In recent months my boyfriend and I started seeing an increase of very, very, very, very unwelcome houseguests. I’m a Midwestern gal — I’m not religious but if I were the saying«cleanliness is next to godliness» would definitely apply. In spite of my PSYCHO cleaning(we do not keep any food outside of the refrigerator anymore, how crazed is that?), increasing use of sprays, powders so on… the problem still remained. So we went into Pestop about two weeks ago. The guy working there(owner?) was obviously extremely knowledeable. He recommened a product that was $ 20. He said that if we applied this particular powder in accordance with his instructions it would take care of the problem. The thing I liked about this experience clearly he wasn’t giving us a bs spiel and trying to sell us uncessary crap. He also informed us that the pesticides that exterminators spray are often sort of useless because they kill the bugs but you have to keep treating over and over and over because it isn’t getting the pesticide to the source of the problem(the nest *shudder*). So it puts a bandaid on the problem and you are constantly having to deal with carcusses. The product he recommended — the bugs eat it, take it back to the nest and spread it to their buddies, then everyone crokes. It’s been two weeks and no roaches(knock on wood to the 80th power) but I’m not going to say we are in the clear yet. I’ll keep you posted.

So at my last apartment I felt like Job from the bible. I endured two years of my front door knob falling off(fortunately I had a back door), the heater not working during winter(they finally called a professional), and finally the kitchen cabinet literally falling off the wall! But the last straw was when a stray neighborhood cat ran into my apartment and then I had a flea problem. The first time I had fleas I bombed it and they stayed away. Then they came back 5 months later and when I told my landlady she told me «it was my fault for letting that stray cat into my apartment» and she refused to get someone to spray. So, I took matters in my own hands and asked my co-workers what they do with pest problems. Two of my co-workers recommded Pestop and said the guy there(Mr. Lee Ware) is the best. I can attest that they are right. Mr. Ware listened to my tearful explanation of my flea problem and showed me which spray I should get and what pellets I can put under the house(half of a shot gun) to make sure the fleas don’t come back through the floorboards. Mr. Ware was so patient and understanding, I truly felt like he cared about my problem and was very knowledgeable about what the products he carries. He showed me what he used when he had fleas in his place which was the same stuff I bought. I actually came back to thank him and got to meet his wife. They commute all the way from the Northshore which I think is some serious commitment to his job! This sounds corny but he really is passionate about his work. Happy Pest Ridding!
