This is one of my favorite PJs. Been a fan of PJs since ’93 when I worked there through college. However I didnt work at this one. They have a really nice staff. Never saw the great teamwork these girls have from cooperation to sharing operational tips and training. I

Hmmmm. Interesting experience for Burner. Nice one, PJs. Lackluster service, subpar coffee. Not to mention the two gentlemen who had to return their inedible sandwiches. But that seems to be the problem with today’s generation. The settlement on mediocrity. People think that you can present a mediocre product coupled with mediocre service, and there will be no repercussions. The fact that this happened to Burner over everyone really perturbs me. He literally is Day 1, which I have clearly been screaming.

The service at PJ’s is excellent. Never before have I come across a more spunky and happy staff. They make my day all the more brighter with just a simple conversation before I grab my tea. On top of the great service and staff, the environment is great for any type of activity. Couches on the inside bode well for relaxing with your drink and a good read(with a shelf of assorted books, you can pluck one up and be good to go). The tables on the inside have enough room for two large laptops and a few notebooks, which is perfect for having a solo study session or one with a friend. Yes, I know this from experience :) Plus there’s free wifi and a lot of outlets for charging. Finally, the outdoor seating is great in case you bring along a furry friend(sorry, they cannot actually go into the building) or just want to recover after a jog at Lafreniere. In essence, this is my favorite spot for coffee and tea because of the great service and ambience. :D

The staff here is awesome. The coffee can be inconsistent, but the personalities make up for it. Free wifi. The pastry case is always full of yummy things.

Best of the PJs. Good seating, WiFi, parking, and most of all dark roast coffee. The Windsor Court is particularly good.

Although PJ’s coffee may not be my favorite, the staff here is AMAZING! They remember you and your drink, and we are always greeted with a smile!(Even at 6am!) we often stop here after hitting the track at Lafreiere Park, it’s a great place to sit and visit or to grab your coffee to go. Love the pastries too!

All Pj’s regular coffee taste nasty. After taste galore! ! The blended coffees are fine because of the milk and other stuff. But the plain black coffee sucks!

Not enough comfy seats! Very small selection of pastries and the few I have tried were dried out and old… very disappointed. Great PJ’s coffee and the staff is friendly and helpful. Even though its located at a fairly busy intersection its usually quiet with few patrons. I’d recommend this location, just don’t get the scones…

3.5 stars Everyone in New Orleans should know all about PJ’s coffee so I’ll spare you the history lesson. For those of you not in the Big Easy, PJ’s is simply a coffee shop that originated in New Orleans, uses coffee roasted right here in New Orleans, has a NOLA theme in most stores and has 65 or so franchises. It’s rare of me to go to a coffee shop to sit down, relax and have a cup. I’m usually driving somewhere near the port for work and dash in, grab an iced coffee to go and am out the door in less than 5 minutes. However, I found myself at Pep Boys last week getting new tires on the wife’s SUV and had a lot of time to kill. I Unilocaled the nearest coffee shop and PJ’s was approximately ¾ of a mile away on the corner of David Dr & W. Napoleon. So I decided to take a walk and check it out. The store was very clean and there was NOLA décor everywhere. It wasn’t big by any means, but there were 7 tables, a couch, a love seat and 2 plush chairs in which to perch your butt. There was also a huge display featuring PJ’s coffees, t-shirts and NOLA based«stuff» for sale. Although I did not partake of any pastries, they did have a nice selection. I got myself an iced coffee with whole milk and sat down for a bit and enjoyed the relaxing music. It wasn’t quite elevator music, but it wasn’t quite pop either. Not too soft and not too loud. I guess it was coffee shop music for lack of a better definition. The iced coffee was good and a large size set me back just under $ 4.00. I still don’t know how to sit and relax so I pounded the coffee down in less than 5 minutes and went up to get a refill. I wasn’t sure how much it would be(a few places are free) but the refill set me back just under $ 3.00. No complaints here, as the coffee was good, the staff was nice and the place was exceptionally clean. Would I go back? Yes, but only if I happened to be in the area, as this is not my hood.

This Metairie PJ’s fits the bill for quick, personal service, but is also ideal for lingering hours studying material alone or with a partner. Staff is friendly, efficient and make a perfect cup of coffee. I particularly like the layout of this PJ’s because the seating is well spaced out and the patrons aren’t too loud… the only issue is the traffic in the area. It can be such a hassle to get in and out of this place.

Some mornings, after I do my walk at Lafreniere Park, I come here. Now, I frequent other coffee shops more often, but the ladies at this place ALWAYS remember my drink, even if they haven’t seen me for a few weeks. I think it is the most amazing thing. They seem to do this with everyone else too, so customer service is A+100 all the time. They also have praline syrup, which I love in my drinks and which the chain coffee shops don’t have.

Sweeten your coffee with extra powdered sugar from your beignets. Coffee with chicory is best.
