I went here for a quick inexpensive Pedi and everything was fine but the woman working on my feet put the polish on way too thick! She assured me it was fine and I should wait under the lights for a few minutes before leaving. I did so, paid and left to run errands. At the first stop down the street, I got out and nicked my big toe. Annoyed, I returned and they begrudgingly fixed it. I realized I didn’t have time to finish my errands and went home. Minutes into the house and my other big toe was nicked! It felt nice to have someone work on my feet but the polish was disappointing and the staff seemed unhappy.

This place is awful. I walk in to get a simple manicure. They don’t tell me a wait time. I see that everyone is busy and many are nearing completion. I wait. 10 minutes go by and the people they were nearing completion are now getting manicures– I waited nearly 20 minutes then I had to leave because I just refused to give money to any establishment that has such disregard for customer service. I cannot comment on the service, because I received ZERO. There are a few other nail salons in. The area, just go to one of those instead.

Nails look fine; however, this was the most unpleasant nail salon experience ever. The girl that did my nails was obviously more interested in her phone and made it obvious she did not want to be there especially be there doing my nails. They had a lot trouble speaking in English, which is usually not a problem but it is when they complain about me in Vietnamese.

I really hate to write bad reviews, BUT this was a terrible experience! When I walked in there were only 2 people and 3 workers, and somehow I was here for 2 hours for a mani and pedi. The young Asian girl, I assume is the manager, asked me what I needed. I told her mani and pedi and I was looking for a bright orange/pink color. She told me they didn’t really have that but she could put white under a specific color and it would brighten it up and look really good. I said ok. The WHOLE entire manicure she was gossiping to another worker who was there and off the clock about some other girl… She might have spoke to me 3 times. She painted all my nails white and then proceeded to put the orange color on top… In the middle of doing so she basically ran out of the nail polish and added thinner to it. She said they didn’t have another bottle… So now one of my hands is lighter than the other AND there wouldn’t be any for my pedicure… Ok She then told me to go sit and wait to get a pedicure. I’m guessing she doesn’t do those? I then sat for about 30 – 35 minutes to waiting on a pedicure while she completely ignored me and played on her phone The girl who was doing a pedicure when I walked in was also gossiping with the off the clock worker and kept stopping to look at pics ect The other worker, which was the only one really working was now on to her manicure so eventually she was done and did my pedicure She did a great job but of course we couldn’t match a color to my nails. While she was doing my pedicure, the gossiping ensued… The one girl was talking about taking an adderall. It was really unbelievable. This place was so unprofessional, and the staff(excluding the older Asian lady) acted very immature. Terrible terrible manicure and even worse customer service! Oh, and I forgot to mention the place does not look clean and is in shambles!

Serene Salon is a sure bet among a plethora of New Orleans and Metairie nail salons.(I’ve tried many!) You will consistently leave with beautiful nails that last. If you like acrylic or solar nails, ask for Julie. She has tons of experience and it shows in the product. Your nails will be proportional and not overly built up at the base of the nail bed(that increases the faux nail look). She also works quickly and accepts appointments. It’s a friendly relaxed environment. If you’re dressed up or simply running errands in your yoga pants, you’ll feel comfortable. I first visited Serene after receiving a bad(awful!) solar manicure at a New Orleans salon. The bad job was super thick and not at all attractive or even. I arrived in this state, and Julie completely rescued my nails and did a gentle repair job taking care to not further damage my stressed nail bed. Since that time, about a year ago, I have returned for all refills and changes. I live in downtown New Orleans, and it would be easier to pop in a number of other salons. But the consistency of Serene can’t be beat.

Great service, clean, and quick! I will definitely be back for another gel manicure! I am going on week two and my nails still look great… Thanks girls!

Older lady did my pedicure… Could have been great but zero effort was put into the massage and even after I pointed out that I had a small cut on my big toe from heels, she put three different burning things on it(each time I winced in pain and had to wipe it off myself). Unimpressed. Go elsewhere :(

I’ve been waiting ’til my manicure finally chipped its way to oblivion to report on how long a manicure here lasts. Mine lasted a week and a half which I find pretty incredible! Julie, the owner did mine, and I can’t believe it lasted so long! Price was reasonable, and they were pretty quick too! I’m glad we stopped in here.

I get my nails done here all of the time. For the most part they are done perfectly, every once in a while they may not be so perfect but for the price I keep going back and it’s about 9 times out of 10 that they are done great so overall it’s always a good experience. I go to Julie the owner or her daughter.

My go-to place for a mani/pedi. The pedicure is the best I’ve ever had, including some really nice and expensive spas that I have visited. The polish actually stays on longer. For $ 30 you get a scrub, mask, and hot stone massage. The staff is really nice and it’s just an overall pleasureable experience. The only reason that I’m not giving it 5 stars is because I don’t consider this a luxury spa.

Worst pedicure ORNON pedicure experience EVER… and I’ve gotten my fair share of pedicures. Spent my entire lunch break with my feet in scorching hot water(no one asked if the water was to my liking), sweating my butt off b/c the air was turned up too high and again, the scorching foot bath. Not one person even paid any attention to me or others in the salon. Everyone was working at a snail’s pace and could care less about customer service. After 45 minutes of torture, I eventually put my sandals on and walked out.

Great place for a nails but especially for a pedicure. From the scrub, masque, hot towels and stones, absolutely AMAZING!
