I rarely leave reviews unless I have a truly FANTASTIC experience. I was in town for work over the holiday weekend. I woke up on Sunday morning in horrible pain from my tooth and needed a dentist ASAP. One of the gentlemen in my meeting got in touch with a dentist(huge shout out to Ian at the Ritz!) and got me an appointment that afternoon. Dr Strain greeted me happily, made me feel very comfortable and told me I needed a root canal(eek!) after going to the same dentist in Florida for the last 10 years I was nervous but Dr Strain was amazing. I felt nothing at all and was ready to go back to work when it was finished. … Who comes in on their off day to do this for someone?! Absolutely amazing dentist and an unbelievable human being. I would fly to LA to go see him again :)

Customer service is NOTGOOD. Front desk makes you feel like a nuicense when you’re there or when you ask a question. If you like feeling uncomfortable, this is your place. If not, save your emotional sanity and find a place that really cares about their patients. To their credit, the back part of the office(hygenists, assistants and dentists) are very nice and take care of you, however, my experience with the front part of the office killed my desire to go back.

We use his dental practice on W. Esplanade Ave. Been going here for several years now, since the dentist I had been using decided to retire. My wife prefers Dr. Strain. I use Dr. Hunn, mainly because she has duty on Fridays when I’m off work. They have a nice professional staff. The office is clean and well maintained. They take insurance. I haven’t had any problems getting scheduled in for emergency dental work(a chipped tooth that was driving me crazy). He also has an office on the Westbank, but I do not have any experience with him over there.
