I have not tried the Kupcake Factory before now, even though I do like a good cupcake. I got 3 today, one for me, the other two for friends. I had the red velvet. It was moist and fresh tasting. The gal who picked the strawberry loved hers, and the same with the gal who picked the birthday cake. The gal with the birthday cake stated it tasted the same as at a regular grocery store. The gal behind the counter at the store was very friendly, even though she seemed a bit out of it. I mentioned how quiet it was in the store, and she looked at me odd and stated that she is hard of hearing. That’s not quite what I was referring to, I meant the lack of customers early on a Sunday morning, but oh well. The store is neat and clean.

Cupcakes are good. However, I was trying to get a dozen for a small birthday party the other day. I called earlier and asked if I could order in advance to make sure they have anything available by the end of the day so I could just pick those up when I got off from work to the party. The lady said I didn’t need to since it’s only a dozen. So I said okay. Later that day, I went to the store to pick a dozen up and they literally had about 17 cupcakes in display. Almost ruined the birthday party without any cakes.

I absolutely love this place have been to all three locations and the service is always excellent and the cupcakes and cakes are ALWAYS delicious. We have gotten many specialty cakes from them and all I can say is Claudia and Robert know there way around a cake! Not only are the cakes designed so beautifully but the taste is always dead on.

Its always a treat when you get to go to kupcake factory. Pay attention to their flavor calendar if youre picky. The popular flavors like choc and red velvet are offered every day though. I ordered 3 dozen for a coworkers bday over the phone at their kenner location and was able to pick it up at this location. There is no seating in the one, pick up only. I tried the new salted caramel flavor today and it blew my mind. So good that I couldnt stop thinking about it. Its a chocolate cake with salted caramel flavored icing. They may cost alot for a cupcake but theyre rich and big enough to share with 2 people and feel content. Im saying this after I ate 2 whole ones by myself today. Im feeling the guilt after being so indulgent. So my recommendation is to share;)

Lemon-lemon, Boston cream pie, and key lime pie are my favorites. I do think the intensity of certain flavors could be a bit sharper. Some flavors have just a nonspecific, overlapping, generic cupcake taste. For example, I thought the salted caramel and cookies and cream both tasted like general cupcakes. Any attempt to replicate a more authentic interpretation of salted caramel was undetectable to me. The sour flavors taste more authentic. That being said, I have tried many of their flavors, and I have never had one that tasted bad. Some are just a little too vague. I think the icing may be what causes the generic taste. There is a reason I am not giving a higher rating. My top favorite is Boston Cream Pie, which is only made on Tuesday. I went to the veterans location on Tuesday November 19th about 5:30 to get a Boston Cream Pie flavor. There was a sign on the door saying«sold out» and the lights were off. I understand that sometimes they do sell out and close early when that happens. However, the case was still visibly full of that day’s cupcakes, including the Boston Cream Pie. I can understand if business had slowed down about 7:00 or so(their closing time is around 8:00) shutting down even if they are not sold out. But 5:30? With cupcakes clearly unsold? If they are going to lie, I recommend moving the unsold cupcakes out of sight. Also, I understand that this is a bakery and not a restaurant, but this place has very little décor/ambiance and practically screams«get your stuff and get the hell out of here! If you don’t, we will close early!»

I am cupcake crazy and always on the hunt for the tasty morsels. So, when I discovered The Kupcake Factory, that has locations in Kenner, New Orleans and Metairie, I wanted to try them. Let me start by saying that the shop was nice, the staff was friendly and the cupcakes are baked fresh daily. However, the packing was horrible(they put the cupcakes in the box without a divider) and the flavor of the cupcakes were lacking. Not that the were dry, but they all could have been a little more moist and I didn’t understand why a Birthday Cake Cupcake would have cream cheese frosting and not buttercream. In fact, I ordered 4 different types and they all had the same type of frosting. One thing I did like is that the cupcakes have an appropriate amount of frosting. The cupcakes were satisfactory but surely could have been better.

Mmm, delicious. We bought two cookies and cream cupcakes. Some of the best I’ve ever had. Given the quality, they were worth the money. Not too sweet, and very tasty.

Incredible cupcakes. Kupcake Factory is better than Bee Sweet Cupcakes on Magazine, hands-down.

This time they came to me. Lots of frosting and full of flavor. Very unlike your normal grocery store cupcakes which all taste alike. If you like cupcakes, they are worth the extra money.

it’s true, the Fulton store lacks ambiance, but who cares? they’re *gourmet* CUPCAKES!!! the best ever, IMHO. i’ve tried wedding cake, red velvet, birthday, lemon raspberry, white chocolate raspberry and goin’ bananas — all delish! so far, the lemon raspberry and goin’ bananas are my favorite. i’m so happy to hear they are opening another FQ location at 517 St. Louis. i’m hosting a friend’s birthday dinner party this weekend and will be picking up a dozen for the event… will let you know if everyone likes them as much as my boyfriend and i do. UPDATE: «They’re beautiful! Best Cupcakes Ever!» –and there you have it. can’t think of an easier way to share the love.

Would I pass up trying a gourmet cupcake shop? Hell, no! The Kupcake factory is a chain in New Orleans this one is located near the convention center. By the look of the place I really wasn’t expecting much. The décor/presentation was lacking. We bought 2 cupcakes: banana and hummingbird(banana, pineapple and walnut cake with cream cheese frosting). The banana was bananas! The hummingbird had a cute name but no flavor. Conclusion… I wasn’t blown away but, I’d come back to try some more.
