If your in a hurry and need a prescription PLEASEDOYOUSELF A FAVORDONOTGOHERE. This walgreens has the most incompetent pharmacy, I have ever had to deal with. Six months ago, my primary care physician at Ochsner electronically sent my prescription for my athsma inhaler. I went to pick up the medicine, waited 30 minutes in line just to be told that it was never received. The nurse had to send the prescription 3 times before the pharmacy idiots finally found it in their system. Today, I went to pick up a prescription that was called in last night by a totally different doctor(i used a call MD service where the doctor calls in my prescription.) The doctor confirmed with me he left the pharmacy a voicemail and my prescription would be ready this morning. I go to pick up my antibiotics, wait 30 minutes in line just to find out the pharmacy once again says they did not receive a request. The only common demoninator in the triangle of incompetence is the WALGREENSPHARMACY. They are idiots. I have now transferred my prescriptions to CVS. Please do yourself a favor, especially if your sick and not feeling good. Use another pharmacy, they lose important voicemails and electronic prescriptions. They have been this way for months.

Nice and clean. Always able to get in and get out. No long wait time. And friendly staff. Never have any issues with this location.

What frustrates me about this walgreens is two things. 1. During baseball season you have to park 100 yds from the store because the mgr does not in force the(customers only parking rule) 2. There’s never enough cashiers on duty so you must wait in a line with about 10 – 15 people in front of you.

Remember the days of getting a hand-written(typically illegible) prescription from the doctor’s office and having to bring it to the pharmacy? Apparently I’m old school, because now my daughter’s pediatrician & nurses all carry around iPads for medical history and for prescriptions. I was completely unprepared when they asked me where I wanted to send my daughter’s prescription. Send? Wha? Uh… Walgreens? And so this adventure began. I chose the Walgreens on David Drive since it’s somewhat close to my work, and we had to go back to my office. I sometimes go here if I need to pick up some essentials on a lunch break, and it’s always been A-OK. This was my first time using the pharmacy. Since the prescription was magically«sent» to the pharmacy ahead of time, I wasn’t really sure where to go. Drop off? It was technically already dropped off, but they didn’t have my insurance info on file. Pick up? Surewhynot. The prescription was there, waiting for us, entirely ready to go. The only delay was in processing the insurance info, since I hadn’t picked up a prescription for my daughter before, ever. So, slightly confusing, but overall easy(and reasonably priced, although I don’t know how much of that was because of the insurance).
