Oh boy – this is one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had. The setting is in a beautiful, historic house. You will feel like you e stepped back in time and that you are sitting in someone’s home. Trust me, this is a gem well worth a drive. We had strawberry stuffed French toast, deep fried banana bread, egg skillets, sausage and apples, and scrambled eggs. We missed the biscuits and gravy. Next time!!! Our server was outstanding: Em, I think. She was cheerful, helpful, and she put up with us – no easy task. Love love love this place.

My wife and I had a late lunch at the Farmhouse today. I had a tenderloin with home fries and she had the burger with feta cheese and bacon. The tenderloin was good but not great The home fries were really good and my wife’s burger was crazy good. We both had desert and they were both awesome The atmosphere and the service were super. We can’t wait to go back

Went there for the first time a few weeks after it opened. Very impressive. Outstanding food and great service. I have been to some of the nicest places in New York and Washington DC and the Farmhouse ranks right there… except for one thing… I didn’t have to mortgage my house to pay for the meal. Since then I have taken groups of people there and eaten there a few more times myself. This will become a destination place. I urge you make a trip soon.

Oh my! This was the best breakfast I think I ever had out. The blueberry pancake melts in your mouth, delicious. It was done to perfection. The Stuffed Strawberry and cream cheese French toast did not need butter or syrup. It was sweet enough all by it self. Yum! Plus nicely toasted. Now who would think to make French Toast out of Banana Bread. They have and it was out of this world. Served with banana slices. Did I tell you that two of us shared this plate of awesome. I also had the cheddar and bacon scrabbler. Bacon was crisp and plenty of it, eggs not running and the cheese just melted so it was not stringy. My favorite part, it is served in a mini iron skillet. And comes with homemade bread. I had the white bread. Nice. My aunt had the Homemade honey bread and loved it. She has them toast it for her. Also, light eater but woofed two thick slices down. Hubby had the American breakfast(I think that was the name). Any how it was huge 2 pieces bacon, 2 sausage patties, fried potatoes and 2 eggs and 2 pieces of Homemade apple cinnamon bread or just cinnamon not sure. He would not share so I can’t remember which he ordered. The waitress was very nice and friendly to talk too. We will be back soon.

Our meals of choice were… Hand cut chicken tenders homemade bread(butter in the shape of a heart .cute little touch) served with two side choices(scalloped corn & deviled eggs were my choice). The All American breakfast which included B&G, bacon, eggs, & fried potatoes! Washed down with their made from scratch strawberry lemonade! Everything was delicious! The Farmhouse is doing it right from the mismatched table & chairs to the littlest of details in their décor! Friendly wait staff & very personable owner! We will add this to our list of Sunday drive food spots!

We happened upon the Farmhouse Restaurant located in a bed & breakfast while visiting Metamora. Their daily specials, which included pot roast and meatloaf on our visit were both delicious. My wife and I shared them both. They were fresh prepared and included mashed potatoes, green beans, and a fresh baked roll. The meat loaf was particularly good, and we were told that it was a favorite of the current and last Governors of Indiana. Desserts included fresh baked pies and apple cobbler. They also have many choices for breakfast. Home cooked quality at a reasonable price!!!

My wife & I stayed at The Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast for our wedding anniversary. Cassie & Nate were the best hosts! They recently opened this B&B and restaurant. They think of every detail to help ensure your stay is special. The rooms are clean & decorated well. They even had delicious pumpkin bread and an anniversary card on our bed to welcome us. The breakfast was amazing! It was so good that we came back for lunch. They are the nicest couple & have a great vision for their new place!

Finally real food, real quality and real value! The quality of their food is without a doubt FIRSTCLASS — can’t wait till they start serving dinner! Will most definitely be back — if you want perfection on a plate — try the apples and sausage, biscuits and gravy, or stuffed french toast… it just doesn’t get any better than this!

My wife and I had the pleasure of being the first guests to stay at the The Farmhouse B&B. Nate and Cassie Garrett were so warm and friendly that in the short time we were there, we felt like we were friends instead of guests. We had the chance to to chat with them for quite a bit, mainly about our sports teams — Cassie, the Indiana Hoosiers and Nate — Kentucky Wildcats and me and my wife, our Chicago Bears! The reason I mention that was I happened to joke that I wanted my coffee in a Bears mug for breakfast the next day and lo and behold I was served my java in a nice big Bears’ mug! It’s just little touches like that is what made our stay so wonderful at The Farmhouse. Another example is when we checked into our room, there were 4 delicious cookies waiting for us, yum! Also each night that we stayed there, treats were left on our door! The house itself is very old and beautifully restored. We did not get a chance to see the other rooms, but ours had a very rustic/old timey feel to it, which we loved! There were even items for sale in our room(we purchased a very nice decorative lantern for $ 10 — a steal! They have a sitting area downstairs with an antique phonograph, which they encouraged us to use. They also have a nice, good sized dining area where you can have breakfast and lunch and be waited on by Meghan, who is so nice and provided great service. The meatloaf sandwich was excellent and for breakfast the biscuits and gravy and also the pancakes were very good(just so you know, breakfast is included in the price of the room-awesome)! They also have a front porch and back porch if you want to use them. We used the front porch to kick back and read and just enjoy the quiet. Cassie saw us out there and brought us some delicious nice cold pink lemonade to enjoy while we read. Thank you Cassie! We were also told we could have the run of the place and if we needed anything in the kitchen, such as something to drink, just help ourselves. I was not use to this, so I felt a little weird going down to their kitchen in the middle of the night and helping myself to stuff, so I just«helped myself» to just tap water, which they thought was hilarious! Very funny. Next time I’m cooking a full breakfast! Just kidding… maybe, heh, heh. Anyway, at the end of our stay, Cassie gave us our bill which was written out with a very sweet note and we were given some peanut butter fudge, that was so good, to take with us. We cannot wait to come back and visit Nate, Cassie and Meghan again. If you like first class customer service and great food you should check out The Farmhouse.

I gotta say, it’s been a LONG time since I’ve been this impressed with a new restaurant. The Farmhouse is a new addition to Metamora, and, I must say, a cut above the other places in town. The food is hand prepared fresh, and it shows. Because it’s hand prepared, fresh, it will take a little long than some other restaurants, but, believe me… it’s worth it. If there’s anything I know, it’s good food. Breakfast seems to be king here, as well it should be. The omelets are incredible, but my go to is Sausage and Apples… something I’d never heard of. A nice sized order of sausage, cooked apples, and fried taters. I don’t recall having had a better breakfast. The breaded tenderloin is very good… not the best I’ve ever had, but well above average, and the club sandwich is a whopper of a sandwich. And…the homemade bread? Wow. Just amazing. If you’re in Metamora, try The Farmhouse. I don’t believe you’ll regret it.
