Elixir Hookah Lounge

We didn’t get inside to give it a fair rating. Why? Cause some over excited promoter at the door telling us it’s a $ 20 cover per person to get in on a Thursday night in METHUEN. I asked if something special was going on and he said «no, regular night»… I looked inside at all 10 men and walked out. Women don’t pay a $ 20 cover at a sausage fest in Vegas, better yet METHUEN so chill out, Rico suave.

THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I reserved a «VIP» table almost a week advance for a girls night. They told me there will be chairs around a table and we can get a package deal, therefore there is no cover charge. When we arrive, they do NOT even have our reservation written down. They make us wait almost 20 minutes to try and figure something out. When they say they have a spot for us they make us each pay a cover charge that we weren’t supposed to pay because we are buying 2 150 $ bottles plus the hookahs. When we walk in, the «VIP» is an end table. Legit the size of the night stand that is next to your bed. We all couldn’t even fit around it and there were NO seats. It was up to my thigh. On top of all of this, when we had enough bullshit and decided to go somewhere else, the security at the door was unbelievably rude, acting like he doesn’t need our money. Best thing that happened that night was getting our cover charge back, and bringing our money elsewhere. We ended up at another place — Everything was cheaper, we had our own couch, table, no cover charge, and MUCH better service. THEY got the nice tip.

Last time I went there was NO ONE there. I’m talking about the only people inside&outside seating. The gentlemen serving us let us try a extra on our hookah, it was a diamond shape extra that attached to the hookah cord that had a ice in it. First of all, it kept coming off, which affected the cord of the hookah that actually kept coming off the actual hookah. We couldn’t even enjoy the hookah since it was detaching from it every moment. We had to switch coals every 15 or so just because the coal was being wasted. It was very frustrating. We consumed a lot while we were there but I was not impressed AT ALL.
The drinks are expensive and not impressive for what they are.
Also, we ordered «lasagna bites» and they were disgustingly cold. The presentation was nice, but bad food is bad food. I couldn’t believe they gave me freezing cold food, disgusting!!!

What a hidden gem! You never know where you will find an upscale, classy, top of the line hookah bar. The hookahs are huge and have changing colors in the base. The bar is beautiful and the dance floor is large. The people and service are just as wonderful. They even serve excellent food! We will definitely be back with our friends.

I’ve been to quite a few hookah bars and this one probably tops it, atmosphere, quality, and service wise. The atmosphere of this place is luxurious and the hookahs are awesomely presented with flashing lights; the last time I went we had a pineapple top and iced water with sex queen starbuzz tobacco. But I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the ridiculous pricing considering this place is in lil ol’ Methuen. I’d be a regular if it wasn’t so pricey. Well worth it though! Idk about anyone else but I went with two of my gfs the other week and we three shared one hookah and hose. This place is definitely worth the try if you haven’t been here before! I went on a Wednesday night though, it was better that way with no crowds.

Went here for New Years Eve and gotten an awesome VIP deal! $ 300 for 4 people all you can eat food, champagne was served, and a free cocktail per person. Nice atmosphere and comfortable seating. The staff is very cool and they make awesome cocktails. Can’t wait to come here again. Also, the interior finish work came out amazing!

Worst place to go to! Management had complete lack of customer service. My card was overcharged by over $ 140 and when I went in to address the issue there was no sign of remorse from management and they stated «I’m gonna give you cash because the manager doesn’t have time to reverse the charge» when I declined, the manager came out and stated «I will be charged 6.8% and I’m not about to pay that» then he continued to try and persuade me that it would take weeks to process. I still declined and then he apologized at the end. The experience was unpleasant therefore I wouldn’t recommend to friends.

This place would have gotten a 5 star had the manager not been rude! Our server was great! I think his name was Joshua. Knowledgable, great at suggestions and very friendly! The hookah was beautiful to look at, the ambience great and the flavor delightful! We ordered 2 hookahs, some cocktails, beer and apps! Everything was bang on! The menu has a plethora of options! We got to try Bombay pan flavor which we don’t get in this area otherwise! Just loved it! The only mood kill was when the manager walks in just 30 mins after we order our second hookah asking us when we are planning to leave cos the table is reserved. Who says that? While we are ordering and hanging out ?? He just lacked manners is all I can say. He did apologize later, but frankly that’s too lil, too late.

I’ve finally found a dope hookah place in MA that provides the ultimate luxury hookah experience that I thought was hopeless.
We came on a Friday night around 7:15PM. There were probably about 3 – 4 other occupied tables. Upon entry the hostess was very nice but threw me off when she asked how long we would be staying for. She then told us that if we wanted to sit at a table we would need to purchase one entrée (or was it appetizer?) but I only saw booths and no tables so I was super confused. No biggie.
We sat at a booth and were attended to by Joshua. He is awesome. He brought over the menu– which is on an iPad and recommended different hookah combinations. It is super overwhelming with the many flavors and concoctions so I suggest you take your sweet time ordering. From now on when I come here I will only ask for Joshua because he is so sweet, professional and attentive.
We ordered the mint hookah (can’t remember the exact name) but it had mint & lime flavors accented with apples. So delicious! We added ice which gave it a very cool and refreshing touch. I never knew ice could be added to hookahs. For drinks and munchies we had lemon drop martinis, a shot, beer and fries. Everything was awesome plus that night they gave out samples of a delicious red wine.

Gets very busy on Fri/​Sat. nights. I would suggest making reservations if you plan on coming after 10PM to guarantee a spot whether it’s at a booth or table.

We were not impressed with this facility. To begin we had made reservation to seat 12 people after a wedding we attended. They sat us in a seating that was suited for 9 people. Our cocktail waitress brought the wrong drinks. Even though we had spend over $ 600 the service was not great at all. As we were leaving there were employees arguing outside. We can honestly can say we will not be returning anytime soon, hopefully they can get organize and train they’re employees a little better in hospitality. The only thing positive thing about our experience there was the DJ, had a nice mix and the crowd was a good mix. If your looking to go to a enjoy yourself and be surrounded by a great service unfortunately this is not the place to go.

I don’t even know how this place gets anything below 5 stars! Amazing atm! Great drinks and hookahs. Awesome music:) if you are in the area, this is a must visit place!

This is a terrible place with terrible prices. I have tried to post before and the owners contact Unilocal and get my review removed. They love manipulating the rating system. They have terrible crazy high prices and service is abysmal. A hookah that should cost 10 bucks max is 40+. You can literally go buy your own hookah for the price they charge you to smoke one for an hour. This is the biggest joke of a hookah bar. Run the other way!!!

I went here last night and I love it. Great music nice atmosphere and a good crowd. I definitely see my self being a regular here. I just wish the place was open a little longer than closing at 12am. I plan to try it during the day as well.

I love this place… The best hookah spot North of Boston… As far as gratuity is NOT 25% like some guy mentioned. The music is fab. Hookahs are amazing… The service is top notch… I go to Elixir’s almost every week. So i know. I recommend this establishment to anyone who is NOT ratchet. Lol. Yes I said it. I would hate for it to get shut down because ratchets dont know how to behave in a grown up environment… ;-)

From the friendly, knowledgable servers and mixologists. To the hookah chefs in the kitchen, who creat masterpieces out of beautiful imported hookahs. Build your own or choose from dozens of options on the hookah menu. You’ll surely be impressed when a chef delivers your hookah, adorned with carved fruit and LED mood lights to your table.
The lounge is very clean, both physically and aromatically. You will not leave smelling like smoke.
Can’t wait for the weather to be warmer to enjoy a hookah out on the patio!
Elixer is a must try, easily accessible right off exit 46 off 495 in Methuen.

This place is amazing. The hookahs are great, service is friendly and very reasonably priced for what you get. The music is a real eclectic mix and the place was packed with a real cool crowd. Go early to avoid the late night rush.

Wow honestly this is the best hookah lounge in the country hands down. Before even goin in to the establishment, you can tell the owner has done his homework because the location is just prime, right off the highway 495, there’s even a billboard on 495 displaying the Exotic Lounge and directions to it. upon actually arriving to the building you are instantly captivated by the design, structure and beauty of the building itself. Once you walked in it only gets better, you are mesmerized by the environment, energy and class of the establishment, everything is brand new. The Hookahs are OUT OF THIS WORLD!, the functionality, the design, the presentation, all absolutely fabulous! The drinks are delicious as well as different from what you get from other places.
Now about the people working there, upon talking to the owner, you are captivated by his knowledge, passion and drives for his business as well as his goal to give his patrons the best experience of a hookah lounge they have ever had, which he fulfills. The staff is also energetic willing to help and very friendly, they make you feel comfortable.
I think the price is affordable and reasonable for what you are about to experience and my experience with the place was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who loves hookah to go and experience what they have to offer you will not regret it.

This is a AMAZING they have a lot of friendly employees whom are always willing to assist you as much as they can. The owner is always around working really to accommodate any last minute things and he would let you know right away that he is the owner however this place cannot get 5 stars due to certain things that I didn’t find good.
First time going into this place, the security guard will let you know about the policy they have in regards of the hookahs.
#1 If you are trying to get a table and you have a group of 4 you must purchase 2 hookahs which costs almost $ 100 and it’s only a hookah for 2 people. If you get more people they will need to add another hookah before serving to this person a drink #2 they offer you an entry, which is a very and non appetizing small meal. #3 the waiting time is ridiculous cause you must wait like 10 – 15 for them to

It’s such a nice place but, it can cost a lot of money. We were 7 people, 3 hookahs and 2−3drinks each which cost almost $ 300. I would definitely recommend this place but, you must have a nice paycheck the day before lol.
