Waitstaff amazing. Food awful. Vents leaking water on tables and customers. Back of restraunt ceiling falling in from water damage. Understaffed, girls doing multiple jobs which affects service. Not thier fault. Manager stands around useless.

I ordered steamers and could taste that they were cooked in the lobster water. Thankfully, I do not have my daughter’s lobster allergy… The restaurant needs work on all the the basics. I do enjoy stopping in.

Come here once every blue moon because my girlfriend likes their house salad dressing… But to any down to earth normal human being who knows cleanliness and quality, this place is a legit Dive. When you first walk into the building, you have to walk though the hotel lobby. And if you make it through there without turning around or loosing your appetite, you are then greeted by a smelly, decrepit, outdated, run down, disgusting, swill hole of a restaurant. And if you are then still not fazed by all of that, you are most likely scentless and blind. The food is average at best and definitely a little pricey. If the owner woke up and actually cared, that place would be a thriving business with people waiting in the hotel lobby for a table. As soon as all the people who don’t know quality, that go there regularly die off, this place will definitely be going under. And the reason why I gave it a 2 star instead of a 1 is because the waitresses and bartenders are surprisingly very pleasant, on the ball and are still pretty hot for their age.

can’t say this place is worth the bother to visit. the décor is WAY outdated. I get it, you’re a seafood restaurant so having that theme makes sense. but it’s not the 60’s or 70’s anymore, it’s 2014, time to upgrade the look. went with my parents. mom got crab stuffed haddock, dad the sirloin and I tried the rib special. 3 strikes right there. mom’s dish didn’t have the crab. not sure how you stuff a piece of haddock but they didn’t. they put the crab on top with the breadcrumb topping. so how does that make it stuffed? how bout saying it’s haddock with a crab topping? makes sense right? dad asked for his steak rear. well he got fresh killed rear. only thing missing was the meat still twitching. and my ribs were dry and the veg was cold. now before you say WTF your eating non seafood at a seafood restaurant… if you’re running a seafood place but choose to offer non seafood items then cook them properly. hell, they screwed up mom’s dinner and that was seafood. the place in whole needs a total make over. new décor, new menu and the cooks need a refresher course. mom did complain about her meal not having crab. after it was explained how they did it, she deconstructed the dish and still didn’t find the crab. it was supposed to be mixed in with the breadcrumbs. they did take off a couple off bucks for no crab but $ 17 for a piece of haddock is crazy high.

It’s a dump. The bathrooms are gross, the food tastes like dirty oil and the prices are sky high. Come here to reward a poorly managed restaurant by overpaying for junk. The sad thing is it’s pretty much the only game in town for seafood– so one star.

Don’t waste your time. Trailer trash heaven. Bar has issues, we’ll leave it at that. Food was expensive for a dive. Dirty looking too. Bartender was super nice tho. Hanging glasses over bar were disgustingly dirty. This is a place for BARRESCUE!

May have been due to the holiday but all of our dishes were under seasoned and cold. I had the haddock and shrimp the fish was cold and i think frozen. my wife had the steak tips and cajun shrimp. Okay maybe if you’re going to have and cajun dish put something other than pepper and the steak tip seemed to be marinated well but came to the table ice cold. The star of the day was my daughter pasta with butter. Kind of sad…

I must admit, the first time my boyfriend brought me here, I was skeptical because of the décor. However, the baked scallops were amazingly good; as were the onion rings. I’m not a fan of steak fries so I know not to get those again. Since then, I’ve been here around a dozen times. More often than not, we have Amy as our waitress. She is very sweet, friendly, and provides EXCELLENT service. My boyfriend typically orders the fisherman’s platter. It’s gigantic and he never leaves here feeling anything but full. I usually order the baked scallops or the baked fisherman’s trio. I’ve never been disappointed with the place.

I like going here once in a while because it is laid back and the bartenders are always nice. We went yesterday and sat at the bar and got great service from the bartender. What I don’t understand are the above normal high prices here. The menu is extensive and the food is average, but it is way over priced. Where do they come up with there prices, I could get similiar items eslewhere for $ 5-$ 10 less. We had an appetizer and a few drinks and left.

This place is gross! The lobby has the dingiest carpet you have ever seen. We should have known to turn right around. We were confused when the sign said«please wait to be seated«because the hostess was seated with customers at a table in the front. When she did get up she brought us to a booth that had seen better days. The vinyl covering the booths was completely cracked and warn. Looking around the room I noticed that there were many different chairs, some desk chairs even. My husband ordered a Blue Moon, I ordered(or tried to) a Mojito. To which the waitress replied«we don’t do Mojitos». Hmm why can’t you do a mojito? She then returns after saying that they had no Blue Moon either. Okay strike 3. For a party of 2 we received 3 dinner rolls. Hmmm odd, I would think 4 no? For dinner we ordered the Captains platter which was just sub par. It came with 2 sides. We got Cole slaw and onion rings. Cole slaw was standard, onion rings were incredibly disappointing. The batter was falling off and they were not cooked correctly. Tarter sauce was given in a squeeze bottle that was leaking on the side in a few spots. Our waitress was very friendly. That is the only nice thing I can say about this one.

I am from out of town and wanted to have some great seafood. This restaurant has a bit of an identity crisis. Is it a bar or a restaurant? The restaurant is tired and rundown looking. I never judge a book by its cover. I decided to not let the appearance deter me. Once inside, the music was blaring in the dining room and two waitresses were sitting talking. I asked for table away from the speakers. She obliged, saying the music was not suppose to be that loud in the dining room. I ordered the lobster scampi. The lobster was tough but otherwise ok. There was a lot of noise coming from the drunks hanging around the bar. $ 25.00 dinner. I will pass on this place next time I am in the area.

We tried to go to Brown’s At Hampton Beach but it was closed so we ended up here for our fried seafood craving. The aioli in the crab cakes was delicious and the fried seafood platter was good, but nothing out of this world(which seemed to be the consensus around the table). The atmosphere is certainly unique with blue ceilings and every ounce is doused with an ocean theme. It has kind of a dive bar feel to it. It’s super casual. I wouldn’t run back here but it served its purpose as a back up that day!

Awkward moment. yup that time where you think you knew somebody’s name and you don’t. Or you can’t wait to go on a ride and after a long wait in line, it breaks. Awkwaaard. Oh why yes, it’s conveniently located off 93, does that really matter? Does that sway one’s opinion on going someplace? Maybe it does, it shouldn’t. It’s tucked in with the Days Inn for a reason I’m sure. They must get some business from them, but honestly who’s getting a hotel in Methuen? When you think about that, I’d like to meet a walk of life who vacations in Methuen, for seriousness. So what was I doing there one may ask? Excellent question. A cover band that was playing there Saturday night, yeaaahbuddy. I went with a group of six, we walked in and there was a door man checking ID’s; nice, so they care. Wouldn’t stop one be enough? No, they checked ID’s a few other times, like some sort of memory loss syndrome. Eh, I’m glad I pass for a 17 year old, keeps me young. but the 40+ people I were with, that could get annoying. The band was fun, there was a crowd for them you could tell strictly came to see them. What was cute about the whole thing was that it was one of the members parent’s 50th wedding anniversary, aww. It definitely turned into a wedding from the 60’s. We got some food, some drinks, some laughs were had. The crowd was older; you could tell they were from the area. Some perms, older women dressed like they were 25, alright. Confused? What else; some mullets, some bikers, grumpy waitresses, too loud music. A whole bunch of stuff happening, dolphins on the wall, some seafood, fishing things, a «nice» MA– NH border nautical theme going on. The food was alright, basic appetizers, grubby kind of food. I didn’t try much but I got the raw oysters and while I didn’t get sick, they were very shelly, crunchy in not the way that they’re supposed to be. I saw them though and they were a really good price, so I had to. I was weary and I should have gotten the potato skins that were gobbled up at my table within in minutes and were obviously served at the other end where I didn’t get to steal one. Waaah. If I could tell you some words of advice they would be; hold it. Yup, hold it or go outside. You know what I’m talking about right? When you gotta go, you gotta go but don’t. On a drinking stomach I get very nauseous with smells, I wanted to insta-puke pushing open that bathroom door. Don’t do it, for seriousness; you’ll want to puke. Maybe I’m just sensitive to smells, but something tells me this wasn’t just my sensitive to smell drinking stomach. this was on a whole ‘nother level. Toilet paper like confetti all over the floor to, like a landmine field, that game on the computer where you want to get the boxes all checked off. Weird.

OK… it’s not the nicest place around… but it’s convenient, and you can’t beat the prices. I just had a twin lobster for 16.99. Not the place for an intimate dinner for two… but comfortable. Any questions feel free to private message me.

I deeefinitely got my lobster fix here! Let me say that I immediately fell in love with this place because of all its tacky, family-friendly decorations. There are sea animals tacked onto the walls, ocean scenes painted all around, and the floors are covered with this slightly grody carpet. I felt very cozy here. We came on a Tuesday night and it was about half-full. This meant that luckily, it was not crowded or loud. The waitress was very friendly and helped answer a lot of our questions. We ended up getting steamers, a whole lobster, and lobster pie… in other words we also ate our weight in butter. Everything was super delicious and by the end of the meal, both of us were satisfied and ready to nap. There were a bunch of mouth-watering desserts on the menu but unfortunately they were no longer available. Nevertheless we had a grand old time here and everyone was a happy camper. The only ding is that our bill was quite detrimental to the wallet, but what can you expect for lobster, eh?

Let me start by saying the food was great, I liked that part. But its a shame that we had to wait so long to get it. Lots of negative points for long waits between waitress visits, waiting so long to take an order, waiting so long for our food, waiting for the bill, etc. You get the idea. Also a live kareoke band? Really really loud in a small place; couldn’t talk or socialize with people. Why am I complaining about the band when I just could have left, you ask? Cause when we arrived approximately 1 and a half hours before, there wasn’t one… the service took so long we got stuck with this band setting up and starting, while we were still eating. Three stars for the food, that’s about it. Would love to give it more, but the waiting was terrible… hostess and waitress were very nice and likeable… it was seriously just the long waiting

Very good food, generally fried seafood but some other delectable treats, as well. Calamari as good or better than anyone’s, especially when paired with the horseradish dipping sauce instead of the marinara. They serve a half-dozen(smallish) oysters on the half-shell for $ 9, and drinks are affordable($ 3 Bud drafts(16oz), for instance; shots are around five bucks I think). For the most part, friendly and attractive staff, especially Brenna the bartender and Melissa the waitress/fill-in bartender. Other times, however, the service can be a bit slow, even when the place isn’t banged out, though it usually is. Crowd: Locals, but not as clannish as at the Fireside(though you’ll see some of the same faces). Pretty chill vibe; crowd skews a little younger when a band is playing(usu. a $ 5 cover). Some bands, like the Dirty 3rds(somewhat regular) are v. good cover bands with lots of fans. Others are, well … don’t skimp on the rehearsals. In sum: Very good food(nuthin’ fancy), reasonably priced drinks, chill but fun atmosphere, good jukebox, live entertainment. A real groove.

Located right off the highway on Pelham Street, this seafood restaurant is sort of a hidden gem tucked inside the Days Inn. They offer a small, limited lunch menu, which is served daily until 4pm and a rather large dinner menu,(which you can also order from at lunch time), featuring everything from soups, salads and sandwiches to pastas, seafood platters and entrees. Most of the dinner entrees ranged from $ 15-$ 20 a plate. My parents are huge fans of the Captain’s Platter, although they said it seems to have shrunk a bit in recent visits. I went a different route and ordered a special — Seafood Fra Diavolo. OMG — if you see this on the menu as a special — get it! The dish came out served on a platter, which I’m not kidding, could have served a family of 4! There was literally about a pound of pasta topped with tons of shrimp, scallops, mussels, crab legs and crayfish and topped off with two pieces of garlic bread. It was a lot of work, and super messy, but it was soooo good. Ultimately, I finished the shellfish and about 2 bites of the pasta and gave the rest of the pasta to my parents to take home for dinner the next night. I figured my mom could take the night off!
