Majority of the people who live near here do not like this place. It seems okay, but people joke around that this is a band-​aid hospital. If you have heart problems, go to Boone or some hospital in Columbia.
I took my 1-​year-​old to get lab work done for him. The lady who was working there on July 15 (Saturday) made me feel uneasy. I don’t know how hard it is to find the vein on a baby, but she stuck him the first time and was literally digging to find his vein. The receptionist helped hold his arm and I held the other. She dug in his arm for what felt like a minute. She pulled it out and said he moved. She stuck him a second time on the same arm. I offered the other arm, but she said, «It’s right there.» I was not happy, but I’m not the type of person to let them know what I think. She did the same thing again and was digging in his arm for the vein. I was praying that it would go quicker and she finally got it. It was bad! She seemed young and inexperienced. I find a lot of people who work at AMC are inexperienced and unprofessional… not all, just most. It was just lab work being done so I figured it would be okay, but I guess it’s just the weekend crew.
