I had a good first experience here; Anna was sweet and worked fast. I needed a gel manicure and didn’t make an appt. but they still got me in even though they seemed fairly busy. They’re also open pretty late throughout the week(until 8pm) which is convenient.

Alicia runs a really lovely salon, and she is equally as lovely, I came in as an unknown client and she very kindly gave me an appointment later in the afternoon. She did my regrowth back to blonde and did a wonderful job, I was very appreciative as we were heading off to Florida Keys the very next day, and I was badly in need of some refreshing colour. Alicia even gave me advice which I had asked for, in improving my overall colour and look, and I will be coming back in a few weeks time to have some fun experimenting with some colours, which is long over due! Very happy indeed, thank you Alicia!

The staff was very nice and the salon was nice too. My friend and I went on a Saturday to get pedicures but there was only one person to do any and all services so I chose to wait while my friend went first. The only thing I didn’t like was that she didn’t buff the top of my toenails to make them smooth and the service was a little rushed.

I have gone to Alica’s Salon because I had bought a Couptessa Voucher for 4 Spa Manis for $ 20 bucks(tell me about it! — great deal) and after the 1st vistit I did not think I would come back that often. I have since then changed my mind and warmed up to the place. I love coming here. The music is always right, the service and atmosphere is always very warm and friendly. A great plus — they use Essie Nail Polish and their regular mani/pedi prices are fair. The technician(Marjulee — I am sure I messed up the spelling) is a very lovely woman. She does not speak English very well, yet knows how to treat the customer. Alicia Spa is a place i like to come because I feel comfort. Ultimately its all about feeling and emotions one experiences when having a lil’ downtime. I ’ am adding 1 star to my previous review.

Hidden on the corner of Collins and 71st, you will find Alicia’s Salon and Spa. It’s only been around for 4 months, and with no sign above the door, it’s pretty easy to miss. With the sketchy reviews I saw about neighboring nail salons, I decided on a whim to check out Alicia’s. The salon is simple and clean. There are 2 nail stations, 2 pedicure stations and 2 seats for haircuts. No massage chairs here, but you do have the option of a spa pedicure or just a regular one. A regular pedi will run you $ 25 and a spa costs $ 33. The only real difference is the exfoliating portion and foot masque. If your feet don’t really need to extra TLC, I think the regular pedi is just fine. The only nail polish they carry is Essie, which is just fine because it’s my favorite. The owner Alicia is very sweet and they offer you a complimentary beverage with your service. The woman who did my nails was a total sweetheart and did a great job right until she applied my nail polish. She had some hefty reading glasses, so I know it’s not her fault she has trouble seeing. However, I had to clean up the edges of my nails when I got home. For $ 33, I just don’t feel like I should have to do that. Good overall experience nonetheless. I’d come back.
