This is a great place to go if you find yourself on South Beach. It is a great spot for visitors and locals. The location has a great relaxing lounge vibe to it. Also the drinks are great and the price is great for the beach. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are awesome there!

This maybe the best hidden throwback lounge ever! Super Swank feel. The drink prices are about the best on Miami beach too! I’m lucky this is my new local spot. Be sure to say hi to Ray the bartender. He’s cool as they come.

Astor Social Club, the new kid on the block. It’s really a true«speak easy» so make sure you ask the front desk concierge at Hotel Astor to please escort to you Astor Social Club and once you have arrived at the bouncer, you will need him to escort you to the correct entrance as well. Unless you are up for the challenge… This isn’t my first true speak easy experience, I should’ve known better! But instead, I tried to pull every door open in the hallway and then started pushing in the walls like I was in some Indiana Jones movie. Talk about a true speak easy?! I am not going to ruin the element of surprise and tell you what/where the actual entrance was/is because that it the defeats the purpose of a true speak easy, so if you want to know, go check it out for yourself and like anyone that goes to a speak easy, keep the entrance a secret to the public and just between us lushes breaking the law. Once inside the secret entrance, the lighting is very dim making it a great hideaway for you and your secret lover, this place oozes romance and sex with the leather couches and ambient lighting. There are two lounge/seated areas, one is more open and the other is tucked away in a corner. They have one bar, bar seating, a dance floor, pool table, and a DJ booth. I was here on a Tuesday night which seems to be one of their better nights. They had three different live DJ’s and they were all local Miami Beach/Miami up and coming DJ’s playing some really great deep house/deep lounge music setting the mood. As the crowd picked up, so did the beats and people were dancing. The bar program is pretty straightforward and lacking, and this I felt was the biggest shortcoming and disappointment. They were out of a lot of popular brands of liquor and did not seem to have a menu of house cocktails. I was on my choice D by the time I got a drink. I hope this is just a soft opening kink that will be worked out soon because if it is not, this place will not last and it would be sad because this place really does have some great potential. They still did have alcohol and thats all you need to have a speak easy, right? It’s hard to find a fun Tuesday night spot in Miami/Miami Beach and next time I am out, on a Tues-day, I will definitely be back. Fun night!
