Best Western Atlantic Beach Resort

Super friendly staff, nice clean rooms some with awesome views. The only complaint I have is the size of the pool and that they do not have a jacuzzi. The breakfast is also very good with a large selection of items. We have also ordered room service and the food was good. Besides that I have no complaints and considering that we frequent this hotel at least once a month I would say that is pretty good. Located close to everything within walking distance to stores and reataurants.

Dirty, poorly maintained, lazy and grumpy staff. A black mark on the Best Western brand. One LOL, I asked the desk clerk if he had ever heard his business referred to as the hospitality industry? He replied that he had not. I wasn’t surprised.

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!
This hotel was a nightmare for me n my family. The entire hotel room is old the bed was dented in the middle so you can imagine how terrible we slept. There is no insulation between rooms, you can hear everything n I mean everything. We were there for two days and no one came to clean our room everrrr. Cops were there almost every day for some issue. Forgot to mentioned the small refrigerator in the closet. The owners are so cheap that instead of buying microwaves for each room they bought two which they place in the «LOWER LOBBY» So if you are ready to watch a movie in your PJ’s make sure you go pop your popcorn first. The only thing that was positive was the ocean front view was
amazing.

If you are looking for a bed to sleep in this is your place! If you are looking for a room with heat when it’s 48 degrees outside, this is not your place. The hotel has no heat. I presume since Miami is usually warm… Close to $ 200 a night, sorry a hotel should have heat. I came back to my room to a cold shower. Maintenance came to fix. The shower head faces the shower curtain so water sprays through to soak the bathroom floor. There is the option to move it but that’s a challenge when you are trying to lather up. My room was next to the ice machine so there was a pretty loud humming noise when I was in my room. I guess it helped drown out hearing loud people. The smoke detector was chirping on arrival which maintenance also had to fix. There was no blow dryer in the room and had to call the desk again. There was no book in the room to say what was around or what was on the menu in the restaurant. I can handle an outdated room, I can handle random hair on the floor, but for the issues I had this hotel is extremely overpriced. The best thing about this hotel-​the boardwalk that goes to south beach behind the hotel. I understand you get what you pay for but this was ridiculous.

This by far has been the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
1^st: we waited almost 2.5 hours for the room we booked months in advance.
2^nd:once we finally got the room it had little bugs (looks like bed bugs) all over the place.
3^rd: the carpet in the entry way inside the room was damp, we figured because the cleaning lady was just there. We left for awhile to sight see upon returning we realized the floor was soaked. We informed the front desk and Jose told us we would have another room once we returned later today, the night manager had no clue of this and basically deal with it! After giving a piece of mind my wife and I came back up to the room and began too pack, at that point we heard what we thought sounded like a animal urinating on the carpet. We beginning looking for where the sound came from, sure enough water is coming from the ceiling! This hotel is ridiculously over priced.

Well this place is pricless when you consider the view from our room.

However, on the other hand either it’s me or the people, but people who are from other countries can be a little rude sometimes. I don’t have problen with foreigners but their disposition can throw you off. Some of the house cleaning ladies can be a little nasty.
One thing that really bugged us is people congregated rightside the front entrance chain smoking, so as you enter it just takes you’re breath away.
Just because they want to take years off their life by smoking cancer sticks every chance they get, don’t try to take others with them. We hate that.
We went out by the pool and it was good for about 10 mins. Then a guy started smoking next to us so we went to our room.
We step out on the balcony of our room. The people next to us on their balcony started smoking so we went back in and closed our balcony door.
Thank God we live in a smoke free state of AZ. No smoking in resturants or resturant patios. They have to leave the property in some places.
They need to either have their own floor to smoke or walk there buts down the road and commit suicide.
I pray Best Western fix this problem.
I am not entering this review out of my emotions or anger. I just want to not have a second hand smoke headache/​allergy reaction.
Smoking is a sometimes slow and for sure death. We all are going to die, but I am not in a hurry.

Pros:
1. Fairly priced. Booked an oceanfront room and when we opened the door to our room, we were surprised that it had a balcony. Nice surprise!
2. Can just walk out to the boardwalk and beach is pretty quiet compared to South beach. Pool is okay.
3. Has a gated parking garage for $ 28 a day, can take your car in and out as many times.
Cons:
1. Ice machine and drink machine broken, had to go down to 8^th floor to get ice.
2. 8^th floor smelled like mold and mildew. Has water damage on the ceiling. It was horrible! So glad we were on the 9^th floor which smelled nice.
3. Old, rundown, pretty basic hotel.
4. Front desk people seemed like they were in training or something. There would be like 6 people standing there, only 2 actually helping guests and the others just stood around looking lost.
5. When asked for 4 extra towels, the housekeeping ladies said no, they’ll give new towels when they clean the room. We left for the day and came back to the room cleaned and only 1 towel. Folded with 2 chunks of hair all over it. I will post a picture. Called front desk & had a bunch of warm towels delivered to the room.
6. Took forever with valet. There’s really no point in having a valet if he doesn’t even park your car, take your luggage or offer any help. I had to stand around waiting for help from anyone.
7. Do not dine in their restaurant Aqua. Overpriced, bland, not really welcoming. Had a $ 6 bowl of clam chowder, alright. An expensive, bland chicken sandwich and the lady at the check out counter just stood there and stared at us while sipping on a mug of tea. Awkward…
8. The fitness facility is really small. The treadmill makes a loud sound when you try to speed it up to a jogging pace. As if it will malfunction and you will go flying off the treadmill.
I gave this place 3 stars because the view was nice, the balcony was awesome and it was fairly priced. Just request an upper floor like I did when I booked the room. Not the 8^th floor.

More or less agree with below review, but to be fair it deserves little more stars. Not that i was expecting anything special from Best Western, but this one is not up to standards of the Best Western itself.

— Location — far from south beach, which is much better beach and has more restaurants and things to do.
— No complimentary chairs on the beach, like in other hotels that are right on the beach.
— Hotel corridors are terrible, with liking walls and ceilings.
— Some stains on carpet and curtains
— Not the best customer service with some personal that doesn’t know English at all. its OK if it was in Dominican Republic, but in Miami? Not a single English word?
— Small pool, with no cabanas
— Useless bar, closes at 9pm
— Slow WiFi that asks for the password every 30 minutes.
— No ventilation in bathrooms.
— Loud AC.
Overall, not the worst place, but definitely not up to standards of Best Western 3 starts hotel.

For 140 bucks a day I expected to get good service. They had a check in at 4PM. We had to wait for a very long time. We expected to get a room with a balcony, but instead got a room with a view to the back of the building. Coffee maker was dirty and smelled like something was rotten inside. Wifi speed is slow as hell, and connection resets every 30 minutes. Multiple stains on curtains, like someone used them when they ran out of toilet paper. There are a few other things that could have made our stay better. They made us sign for towels to use in the pool. Pool is the size of a bathtub. Furthermore, they did not have complimentary chairs on the beach.

Pros: Proximity to the beach
Cons: Never get clean towels. Concerning how clean the bed sheets are. Refrigerator in the closet? Broken ice machines. Lazy maid service. No iron board /​iron. Bathroom is ridiculously small and unfunctional. Smelly carpet throughout hotel. They purposely leave you decaf coffee to force you to buy their expensive breakfast. Their beds are tiny.
I can go on and on with cons but this is a crappy hotel that gets to take advantage of the area being a tourist location so it overcharges and gives horrible service. If you can afford to pay more money and be treated like a human being, do it.

Great ocean view with a balcony. The bed is a bit small for 2 adults. Bathroom is small, rectangular and gets very humid.
Other than that the amenities of the room are average.

Son 6 veces que me hospedo cada vez que viajo a Miami en este hotel porque es el mejor para mi gusto.
El personal es muy efectivo, hospitalario y servicial.
Resalto el trabajo de todos pero sobre todo el del Sr Angel Guerra, Velette y la manager de front desk Lucy por si requieren tratar algún tema en especial. Son excelentes en sus trabajos.
Las habitaciones son de tamaño adecuado, el internet funciona bien aunque podría ser más veloz (no significa que es lento …) la ubicación es estratégica porque estás en la playa en 1 minuto, en Lincoln Road en 10 minutos, en el supermercado Walmart en 15 minutos.
Yo les recomiendo sin dudarlo y sobre todo si consideramos precios, este hotel los tiene muy competitivos.

En resumen: no duden un instante si quieren un hotel accesible económicamente, muy buen servicio, personal fabuloso y ubicación privilegiada.

Let me begin by saying that I read all the reviews before booking and I decided to take a chance. And HOW GLAD I did!!! The reviews are NOTHING what was said. The Front Desk staff especially DAAN and the girls were sooo awesome. The room wasn’t ready so the Bellmen, both of them were Amazing as well. They took our suitcases and we went and had lunch. Came back and room was ready, clean and the VIEW was perfect for our weekend stay. We could literally walk by the pool and go straight to the beach! The bartender at the pool bar makes amazing Bloody Mary’s and also went above and beyond! The pictures are everything as is but more in person. I WILL definitely be back and I WILL stay here mark my words! I also hope the same people with be there! Oooh and one more thing I am in customer service everyday and for the front desk to print all 3 of our Itineraries for our flights was more than what we asked for! Thanks to all that made our trip the best!!!

Ok beware of the rudeness and the unpleasantness of the staff in the restaurant. Asked for plastic ware and was given attitude about them being closed had to ask management to assist. The room type had issues because of being over sold. The hotel staff has very small understanding of english language as expected but was not sure of a lot of answers to my questions. There are only 26 spaces for parking available let night so first come first serve. They send u to a parking lot 2 blocks down the street which they discount from 45 to 29 dollars. Good luck finding street parking on the side streets after 6pm. Most of them are taken already as some have prepaid. The rooms are a bit outdated but the lobby seems to have been remodeled at some point. The refrigerator is in the closet which I don’t understand. if possible choose another hotel. The only perk is there hotel is on the beach

THIS PLACE SUCKS!
I don’t even know where to begin. I just got back home from a weeks stay at this horrible hotel and man oh man am i glad its over. So first off let me just say that we booked way in advance to help ease the process, our check in time was 11am so we booked an early flight to land in Miami around 10am. We get to the hotel around 11:30 after having breakfast near by only to be told that our room wasn’t ready. well its after 11 so i said okay well give it till 12… NOPE! she said to come back at 4pm… i was very annoyed because now I’m in Miami all day with luggage, what a waste of my time. No apologies, nothing.
Finally we get situated in our room around 5pm, the room was pretty clean and neat, no complaints there. We used the shower that night and the next morning so we left our dirty towels in a small pile on the floor in the corner of the bathroom. We go out and come back later that night to find the room clean and OUR DIRTY USED TOWELS THAT WERE ON THE FLOOR, FOLDED BACK ON THE TOWEL RACK!!! Disgusting!!! I called down immediately and of course no apology, just a «okay well bring new ones up now» it didn’t even phase the manager that dirty used towels were put back on the rack. Not to mention the manager is super RUDE.
Wait it gets better…
The next day were relaxing in the room and the room service stops by to clean, so we left promptly and got lunch, after lunch we came back and the phone in the room rang. It was the manager telling us we can not smoke in the room and smoking will cause us to lose our deposit… only thing is WE DON’T SMOKE!!! I asked her why we were being accused of smoking and she said the cleaning lady had smelt smoke. Now they are after my room deposit. No way. I told her to come up to the room and smell my clothes, the bed, the floor, whatever. She said ok and never came up to the room. I saw the cleaning lady down the hall and asked her nicely if she had smelt smoke in our room but she couldn’t even speak English. Only response i got out of the front desk was «We will try to train our staff better»
The AC in the room was nice and cold but at night it sounded like Niagara falls. LOUD water draining noise that wasn’t easy to fall asleep to.
The bar inside and outside were of course way over priced but that was to be expected. Biggest problem was the drinks I ordered. I paid an extra $ 2.00 «Premium spirit upgrade» for a decent tasting drink… what i got was definitely bottom shelf spirits in a top shelf bottle. I work in a liquor store and I know for a fact the «premium spirits» were not premium. At this point I’m so angry i just couldn’t wait for the trip to be over.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place!!!

This hotel has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau for a very good reason. BEWARE!!!
Best Western’s Best Western Atlantic Beach Resort (managed by Charles Group Hotels Miami Beach) has proven to be classless and inconsiderate.
A room for four was booked on October 2, 2014 for an April 17 – 19, 2015 stay. Well, on February 5, 2015 it was noticed that the rate of the room had increased. This change was clearly made after the room reservation was booked and guaranteed with a card. They increased my room rate more than 7xs the original rate at the time of booking. They then showed little concern for what they admit is their error and refuse to honor their rate. This changes was also made 4 months after the room was booked, 2 months before the date of arrival. They have shown zero ounces of concern, even after letters were sent and phone calls made to the property and their management company. TRAVELER BEWARE!!! Oh, Charles Group Hotels lied to the Better Business Bureau about managing the property on the same date they sent me an email from an account owned by CGH (I promptly forwarded that information to them for their records and for the case).
They have deleted my post on their Facebook page, but can’t delete my review. They have made their page so that I can’t comment or like anything on the page. They had my TripAdvisor review removed once it hit the top 20% of reviews for the property. I fought to get the review back on there. They have shown no concern, including lying to the Better Business Bureau about communication and who they are. I have email confirmation and other documentation to prove the validity of my statement, and will continue to share this information with the world.

The biggest reason I enjoyed my stay here while on a family vacation was because this hotel is located right next to the beach. You literally get out pass the pool, get on the boardwalk and you’re on the beach. That was wonderful because we could just go back and forth with no fuss. Our room was facing the Thompson hotel and we had a pretty nice view of the beach from the 10^th floor. We also got lucky because we were here during New Years and Pitbull was having the New Years Revolution party at the Thompson so we got to watch the whole show right from our balcony.
The pool is pretty small but I guess it’s good for little kids because you can easily keep an eye on them. It’s not great for a ton of adults because it feels overcrowded since its so small.
I went to the gym they had there which is free and there usually weren’t people there so it felt nice to just do my thing with no one to bother me.
You have to pay for breakfast, I think it was around $ 14,$ 16. It includes a buffet with a variety of breakfast foods like scrambled eggs, French toast, bacon, they can make an omelet for you with your choice of toppings also. The waiters were nice also.
The room itself is not huge and the bathroom just didn’t look appealing. They should clean out the ventilation, it was stuffed with dust and the bathroom feels humid after every shower.
The worst part that we experienced was that my little brother’s carriage got stolen! We decided to leave it right outside our room because there was barely any space in our room with the tons of bags we had and so on. On the fourth day someone decided to steal it! Now you’d think these people on vacation would be more respectable but who knows it might have been someone from the hotel staff also.
So if you’re looking for a luxury hotel this is not the place but its decent enough if you’re looking for a simple vacation right by the beach. The only reason we stayed here is because we decided to go on vacation like 2 weeks before New Years and it was difficult to find a decent place. But overall I enjoyed my stay because of the wonderful weather and beautiful beach, I didn’t spent much time inside.

Food was good, pricy but so is everything in miami. No complaints from us and we stayed 2 nights! Enjoy
