Everything about Miami I hate. Obscene cover charge, ridiculously overpriced drinks, and obnoxious underage bitches.

Dear Heathrow, WOW! Did I have a great time here on Saturday night. After being next door at another venue for a charity event, we decided to come check this place out. One of our friends was DJing and since I had never been, I knew this was the perfect opportunity to check it out. We walked right up, and there was a small crowd up front. My friend knew one of the guys at the door and we were quickly swept into the club, gratis! :) Love VIP service. This club is just right for my taste. It’s not too big and not too small. Upon walking in, I noticed the interesting décor. You have these panels that get lit up from behind that have these really cool, kinda eerie, silhouettes of trees(black and white). I thought this was a very neat touch. The upstairs is quite small, and the DJ booth is located inside of the bar area… WTF? That’s the only small fail I found here. Additionally, they are NOTADA/Handicap compliant. We were with a friend who is in a wheelchair and there is no handicap elevator/ramp/etc to get upstairs. I found this quite disturbing and bothersome, which is what made it lose a star. Yes the club is great and I’ve never had to be conscious of these matters before, but to find that our party couldn’t go upstairs because there was no handicap access is a bit beyond me. It was definitely a fun-filled great night with great music and great friends. Heathrow, I think I may have found a new go-to staple on the Beach. Oh, and how could I forget, the drink prices were totally reasonable for SoBe. I was paying $ 7 per beer. Typical for the Beach and not TOO steep. Thanks for keeping it real. :) See you very soon! Take care, SabrinaAnna* PS. The music selection includes Old School hip-hop, Rock, new Top 40 stuff, House… It’s a great selection of everything that keeps you on your toes and moving. :)

This is exactly what South Beach needed. Heathrow is the type of club you expect to find downtown nested somewhere within the Design District appealing to the house-lovers and indie kids. I’m not sure how much cover usually costs, but I attended a DJ set and it cost me $ 20 at the door. The drink prices are on the expensive side, but not I-want-to-shoot-myself expensive either. A beer is $ 7, and a bottle of water is $ 6 or $ 7, depending on who your bartender is(which is my biggest complaint.) The place itself is beautiful. Once you get tired of dancing downstairs, you can head upstairs for a little more air and watch the massive crowd bounce up and down from the balcony. This is especially great for those who prefer to people-watch. Lately I’ve been sticking to my neighborhood and enjoying spaces like Circa 28, The Vagabond, and White Room. I’ve been burned badly by SoBe clubs, but Heathrow might be the one that reigns me back to that neck of the woods.

I had high hopes for this spot, based on Monique’s review. Wasn’t impressed so much. The girl managing the crowd out front gave us attitude when we tried to get back in. Meanwhile she let ALL her friends in. VERY juvenile! This is not the way you want to start out with a brand new night club starting out. I’m hoping it’s just a learning curve. The music was all over the place. They should stick to the brit pop stuff and keep with the genre a bit more. This is why I rarely go to S. Beach clubs. What the hell HEATHROW?!
