I was thinking between 3 and 5 stars. But for the money, this place deserves 5!
I went there with my boyfriend for 6 nights. We arrived at 10pm. Got a room (number 101) it didn’t seemed very cleaned so they gave us another one, oceanview. The staff is very helpful.
They have free breakfast. For me it was more than perfect, but if you LOVE to eat, than this breakfast isn’t for you. Croissant, bread, cream cheese, waffla, juice, banana and apples. That’s it! But their croissant is something to die for!
The locations… Hmm is absolutely amazing. One minute walk to the beach!
If I’ll ever go back in Miami Beach, I’ll definitely choose Lorraine Hotel

The customer service was great, they were helpful and attentive.
The room was ok, very stuffy but seemed to be in decent shape. Nothing amazing but for the price, what it looked like was expected.
The bathroom, YUCK. I traveled with two children and a friend. We took a über to Walmart and bought Lysol and bleach to clean out the bathroom ourselves. We also bought a bath may, because the tub was old and disgusting. There was mold on the walls, hair on the sink. It was simply gross.
The breakfast in the morning was good and first come first serve, once things ran out they were not restocked.
If you’re on a tight budget and don’t mind the nasty bathroom then it’s not bad, but if u have a little extra $$, Skip this one.
There’s a bit of meter parking out front, no easy parking in the surrounding area.

This Hotel is Economy hotel for very low price in Miami Beach area. Don’t expect huge comfort.
Everything is old. But the people at desk are very kind and helpful.
If you need some affordable accommodation on Miami beach this is the beat choice for you.

A friend and I stayed at this hotel earlier this month and we had an OK experience.
Starting off with the good: Front desk attendants were nice, there was a convenience store right outside, the beach is pretty close to the hotel, WiFi was decent, and we had a free transfer from the airport to the hotel when we arrived.
Not so good: When we arrived, we noticed the door to the fridge was hanging off so we had to call the front desk to send maintenance on over who arrived rather quickly and brought us a new fridge; HOWEVER, for some reason, it seems he left that old broken fridge plugged in and it started leaking water all over our floor so we had to call a second time later that night. Minor inconvenience– we just wanted to store our water bottles there and not slip and slide on the tiles, so no real biggy. The convenience store is on the more expensive side but Miami as a whole had higher prices on basic items than Boston (had I known this, I probably would have just packed more things in my luggage to avoid the extra expense). Some unsavory characters seem to hang around the beach/​boardwalk area near the hotel. We did not run into any problems but it’s something to be aware of when walking around the area at night. The hotel is also about a 30 – 35 min walk from the «action» down in Ocean Drive and 15−20min to Lincoln Road. Breakfast in the morning was a struggle! They offer the most basic things like bread, bagels, croissants, some cold cereals, cheap yogurt and there is also a waffle maker (good luck getting to it because everyone was hogging the damn machine the whole time). Some hotel guests would take a pile of the croissants and bagels and leave NOTHING for others. On the 2^nd morning we just gave up and ate breakfast elsewhere it was just NOT worth waiting around for (no struggle and much tastier!). Also if you’re thinking of renting a car, parking was a huge project –hotel does not offer parking, there are some lots nearby but they were all FULL… we got lucky and found a spot late at night at one of the lots and then had to move it out early the next morning (didn’t have to pay yay!)
All in all it was an OK hotel, we knew coming into it that this was a BUDGET HOTEL, we were NOT expecting the Fontainebleau. If I visit Miami in the future, I think I will spend a little more to be at a more centrally located hotel (not a whole lot happening around this area).

Don’t EVEN know where to begin. This place is a dump! I used to love in the Miami area and this place was much nicer years ago. Now… its crap! Poor customer service at the desk, NO WHERE to park, they actually gave us USED/​DIRTYING towels, old central air so the room was hot as hell… all in all, just a bad experience. Won’t be back EVER!!!

Stay AWAY from this hotel! I’m only giving it a one star because there is no such a thing as a zero star.
1. Staff is not friendly or helpful at all.
2. The rooms are old and nasty they look NOTHING like the pictures on their website. Don’t let this hotel fool you!
3. Breakfast sucks.
We had a HORRIBLE experience with this hotel. First we were given a room with a broken fridge. We called the front desk, and they were willing to move us into another room. Our next room was a bit better but still didn’t meet my expectations. We decided to make the best of it since we were already there but things only got worse. One morning we called the front desk and asked for towels took them about 40 minutes to bring them up to my room (I think I called about 3 times to remind them) once the towels were brought up I realized they were dirty with hairs. Gross. I immediately called back to let them know the receptionist came back upstairs all mad and brought up more towels.
We paid $ 200 a night for this shitt* a** hotel don’t waste your time or money!

For anyone that uses Hotwire and do not find out the hotel until after you book… well you know the outcome. What’s my excuse? I booked this trip days before my birthday.
First off, I’m a self-​certified Germophobic individual. I wasn’t expecting immaculate cleanliness, but if you provide towels — at least leave some without STRANDS OF HAIR in them. In addition, I had to go to the local grocery store to buy Clorox wipes to wipe down the bathroom (dry toothpaste residue on faucet, more strands of hair on shower tiles). As any germophobe would react, I ended up wiping down most of the room and made sure housekeeping did not come back to clean unless I completely checked out of the room.
Second, this is just a peeve of mine as a female — but I wished the rooms had a «peep hole» so you know who is on the other side of the door — considering the location of my room.
Third, the rooms are pretty large which is great. But the bathrooms are sooooo compact! I used to live in a studio and the bathroom was larger than this one in the hotel. As soon as I sit down to use the bathroom, the bathroom door is literally in my face.
Lastly, I felt as if the walls were made of construction paper because it seemed like I heard every conversation, footstep, door opening, key jingle, etc. And I’m not being sarcastic on that comment.
Overall, it’s not a bad hotel. But I think the cleanliness needs some improvement.

I gave em 1 star because I couldnt give less. SIGH… where to begin… so, the bathroom was dirty, the toilet looks like a «Staidum «toilet (no tank), the bathroom window opened but had a broken hinge, NO parking, NO ice, short on towels… i mean, are you a hotel on Miami Beach or a homeless shelter ?? you guys should be SHUT DOWN until YOU jerks can compete with the area. we paid over $ 250 for this dump and for our last night in Miami Beach, they ruined it. we had an early flight, so my wife and I were in NO mood to even talk to the front desk. STAY VERY CLEAR from this place. you’ve been warned.

Ok where to start… well let start at the front desk, it is falling aprt. The lobey is not very inviting. The breakfast if thats what you call it is nasty bag coffee out of a dispenser no good, the food is worse then prison. Now lets try to get to the room oh wait only 1 person at a time in the elvavator it is maybe 3x2sf. Now your in the elvavator this mybtake a minute because it is slow. No to walk the 1920 hall to your room the floors in the hallway are from 1920 and never been refinished. All doors have a ram to go down in to the room since they just keep adding flooring to the floor. No if ypu van figuer out the room key u can get in. At this point if ypu have made this far u are in for a treat. The rooms have not been remodeled or cleaned sice 1991. The pillow on the e bed i have seen bums on the street with better pillow. I had a better sleeping quarters in Afghanistan when i slept under my hum v. Now lets look at the e bathroom jf you have not already checked out. At this point u probably are checking out when u see the mold and dirt on the floors add the celing. There is nonin room ac just a celing fan and a door and windows. If you are from a 3^rd world country you would never know the difference. I will now post all my pics of the beach resort if thats what u want to call it

I had a few friends staying here last weekend so naturally being in town I had to visit.
I have to say from the outside of the place I was pretty worried. It looked a tad sketchy. I mean, there was a corner store one the first floor. Not many Ritz’s can say that, right?
Walking in the lobby was made to look like any modern New York style hotel. I knew from my friend’s that this was a cheap (monetary) hotel because every guest was in their twenties. The elevator was small and the hotel has just a few floors. The hallways make me think of an old apartment building.
The inside was ok. There was a hair on the bed, not cute. The room also featured a mini kitchen which is nice if you’re there for a long term stay. The bathroom was clean and the room was a decent size. Had a nice tv with cable.
Honestly, if I needed a place for a friend on a budget to crash this would be it. It was decent. That’s what I can say. It was not great, but it wasn’t bad. It was decent.

I will start off by saying we checked in at 11 pm, and checked out in the morning. The room was filthy. Sand and hair on the floor, dirty out dated bathrooms, blood stain on the toilet seat cover, the second bed in the room had a plastic sheet not a bed sheet, and the receptionist was so rude, when we asked for towels she said you can come downstairs and pick them up. I can’t even think of one positive thing about this hotel. We went to Chesterfield hotel talk about night and day. We ended up having a wonderful, relaxing, clean, and safe experience. I would personally like to meet people that keep rating this place so high. The only way I can rationalize that someone would give this hotel a high rating is that they are used to living in filth and are comfortable living in unsanitary and unsafe conditions. If you have high standards, STAY AWAY from this hotel.
Did I mention? the house keeping uses a CVS pharmacy cart when they clean rooms to store towels.

This review is for the Brothers Café downstairs. Sometimes I walk by here after a long workout at the gym. They always have fresh ingredients for many different types of tasty sandwiches and other quick foods, which you can enjoy at a luch counter, outside, or to go. Since there is also a grocery/​sundry shop you can buy beverages, snacks, baked goods, and bikinis all in one shop.
The staff doesn’t speak much English, but they are very friendly.

I had a horrible experience staying at this hotel. First of all, I stayed here for 5 nights during Miami Music Week/​Ultra Music Festival, so the rates were already jacked to the point I was paying an average $ 200/​night for a room.
When I arrived, I was told a $ 50.00 «security deposit» would be placed on my card in the event there was damage to the room. Foolishly, I signed the form. Of course, when it came time to check out, I was told my deposit would be refunded in 24 – 48 hours. Despite the fact there was no damage to the room, my deposit was never returned. When I called to find out why it was not refunded, they asked who the charge was made under… I pointed out the charge was made by T3 Gladstones…‘that’s not us’, they claimed. However I made NO other transactions of $ 50 using my card at the time.
The room was not clean. Oh yeah, it wasn’t air-​conditioned either. In Miami, I would think one could just expect an air-​conditioned room, especially if you’re paying $ 200 a night. Not here, apparently.
One of my first nights staying here, I filed a noise complaint as one of my neighbors was playing their music LOUDLY at about 4 or 5am. Loud enough I could hear it through the walls and floorboards, and it woke me up and kept me awake. When I called to file the complaint, I was simply told after the call that security had looked into the problem and they couldn’t hear any noise coming from anywhere, thus they couldn’t do anything about it.
When it came time for maid-​service to clean my room, they did NOT actually change the sheets but simply re-​made my bed with the same sheets. Now, since I’m the one sleeping in the same bed night after night, not THAT big of a deal… but that doesn’t exactly leave me with much confidence that they changed the sheets in between guests, either.
When it came time to check-​out, I had an early flight home and asked for a wake-​up call of 5:45 am. Front desk said they would call, but never did. Fortunately, this was only my third-​line back-​up alarm, or I’d have missed my flight.
Finally, when I actually went to the front-​desk to check out, there was NOBODY there. I had to wait 5 to 10 minutes just to see a front-​desk person’s face.
All in all, not only was this hotel hot, filthy and just generally disgusting, the staff were horrible as well.
Bottom-​line advice? Don’t stay here if you have ANY other options. Even if you must pay a little extra per night at another hotel, you’ll be much happier in the end that you did… avoid this hotel like the plague…

You get what you pay for here. There’s no adjustable AC in this old beast and everything in the room is old. The café downstairs is decent enough and it’s close to the beach.

Great value of price/location…I stayed there in my first trip to SoBe so I didn’t know my way around… fortunately this hotel is within walking distance to where all the action is (Ocean Dr, Lincoln Rd, Espanola Way), I think we paid around $ 75/​night for 2 people so we paid less than $ 40/​nigh each.
I really enjoyed staying there, rooms are clean and if you only care for a place to stay while you party in Miami this is a good one!

The mini-​grocery store downstairs serves a great café con leche!
