Luis Vivas Hair Studio and Day Spa

Luis is such an awesome professional that I had to write another review. I have been to very fancy places, both here and overseas and I have never found someone that can cut hair as well as he does. Of course he is equally amazing with color but the cut has been always a problem to me, as I am extremely picky because I hate blowdrying and like to wash and go. For that, the hair has to be extremely well cut but he always outdoes himself. One more time, I leave feeling so grateful and so very happy I found him. I have been butchered so many times that I feel I owe it to other women to share that this guy is AWESOME!!! You will not regret trusting him with your hair.

The best hair salon in Miami. I ve been at many other salons and the men hairdressers always cut your hair like in army. Luis pays attention to detail and style what fits you and every single time I leave the salon happy with his work.

Luis Vivas does the best hair coloring and styling, whether I want ombré, balayage, or anything else! He also sells the best hair products. Thank you Luis for always making my hair look fabulous!

The staff was pretty nice. But even though my friend and I call to make an appointment we had to wait between our manis so they could do a manicure in another client. The manicure was very sweet but did not do a good job. My cuticles were choppy and I had to cut my nails very short the next morning cause most of them broke.
The lady who washed my hair was very nice and the stylist who blow dried my hair was too. Only problem is that even though I told them my hair was oily he kept adding products and spray on it.
Overall was an okay experience until 2 days after that I received a call from the receptionist asking if I had taken that other client’s sunglasses. Of course I didn’t! Then she said she would have to watch the cameras then (kind of making an threat). It was very awkward!
So unless you’re a regular don’t expect to get good service!

Went there with my wife. She went for a pedicure and I just went along for the fun of it and ended up having so much fun just waiting. The receptionist, Paloma, was very friendly.
I got to understand why Brazilian hair were so hot in Africa. It is because Brazilians are the best at taking care of hair! Luis Vivas made me understand that.

I have traveled all around and have tried finding other great stylists but no one has come close to LV!!! From color, to cut to blow outs they are top notch! I drive way out of my way to get to him, the service is exceptional. The staff bends over backwards to accommodate you. My schedule is hectic but they manage to work with me. Thank god!

Luis Vivas is a wonderful hairdresser and true artist! I have curly hair and have never had someone who, not only isn’t afraid of my hair, is super creative with both coloring and cutting my hair. I always leave the salon feeling gorgeous and overly satisfied! I even told Luis today that if I ever leave Miami, I will come back just so he can do my hair! The salon staff is always hospitable as well and Lulu gives the best hair washing ever! Thank you for all that you do!

Best hairdresser ever. I´m so happy I just discovered this place. Everything was absolutely perfect. The receptionist was really nice and offered me a cup of coffee, te or whatever I wanted as soon as I entered; two other workers came to ask me if I needed something while I was waiting (I arrived 15 mins earlier). The design of the place, the light, the smell, absolutely everything was charming. And finally, the best… Luis. He’s brilliant. He really has a talent in his hands and also in his mind because he really understood what I was looking for my hair and he recommended me a product that is working really good to my hair. I can´t be more thankful to him. I hope him not to leave Miami. He´s gonna be definitely my hairdresser forever.

We called to schedule an appointment and the receptionist was not too helpful. She was rude on the phone and did not listen to me when I said I would like 2 appointments for a manicure and pedicure. When I asked about prices to confirm the listed prices online, they said that they do not do acrylics even though it is listed on their website. The receptionist could not understand what I was saying so I finally talked to the owner of the salon. He confirmed that they do not do acrylics at this salon so we had to cancel our appointment. Not a good experience.

Really bad experience! Would not recommend to anyone! I went to get hightlights and after spending almost 3 and a half hours i left feeling horrible. I was charged $ 200 for a really bad job. This was not even with a blow dry. Called back to go back into the salon to get my hair fixed after the horrible job Damian had done. I spent another couple of hours and $ 100more for him to fix what he had done. Again not even a blow dry and feeling again unhappy with the results. $ 300 later and my hair still looks horrible. For this price you can get a much bettet job done somewhere else.

What a pleasure to be pampered at this place. Luis is the best with my hair. Even if I’m away from Miami I wait to return and get my hair cut with him.

These guys are da bomb! I went there because of a groupon, which I’m glad I did because now I discovered my go-​to salon. These guys are a perfect team. I went in and gave little instruction of what I wanted, and they knew exactly what to do. I had my boring straight hair shaped and cut into fun layers, and I had partial hilites done. Aside from the fantastic stylists, the place is easy to find and there is valet — I can’t remember if it’s free.

Luis is the BEST!!! I have thick, long blonde hair which requires color every 5 – 7 weeks. I have worked in the modeling and beauty industry and so my standards of care are high. I have tried all the «top» salons in the Miami area, all the «names» and I have always been pretty happy with the results if not thrilled with the prices. Luis is not only a master at what he does, he truly cares about the condition of hair. The prices are the most reasonable I have found anywhere for the same processes. The staff are friendly and helpful and Judy at the front desk is attentive and accommodating. Luis has the calm, reassuring personality I like in a stylist, I always enjoy my time with him. The location of the salon at The Alexander hotel may mislead you to think this is a «typical» hotel salon, usually associated with transient service levels, it is not. Luis is long established in Miami with a regular and loyal clientele who I understand will follow him anywhere. As will I.

I had the best experience ever at Luis Viva Hair Studio! We were running late because we are from out of town, but the salon still accommodated me despite his busy schedule. We are going to a wedding and I wanted to cut off all my hair and get a cute new updated due! I got the best, cutest A-​line cut ever and they donated my hair for me! I love Luis and he did a better job than I could’ve ever asked for!!! Love love love this salon and can’t even give it a high enough rating!

I recently moved to Miami from New York City where i got my hair cut on Madison Avenue. I tried a few different salons in Miami before I found Luis. I can tell you that Luis and his team can go head to head with any NYC salon. I have been extremely satisfied with every thing from cut to color to straightening. And everyone at the salon is so friendly… that’s one thing you won’t find in NYC. One other thing… people give me compliments on how my hair looks… that never happened before I went to Luis.

Luis the lifesaver. Living in my Miami without my original hairstylists and colorists from Delray was anxiety inducing.

Color stunning, we move on to treatment. Unlike many salons which have your basic straightening two options Luis didn’t push just made recommendations.
I loved the treatment!!! (Hence my visit today). Purely focusing on anti frizz and no harsh chemicals it is light and simply allows me the major luxury of letting my hair airdry with some of my natural waves… Product: same, options on price point and top shelf either way.
And back to Luis, a charmer, an artist and a gentleman.
I’m so happy! I truly adore this salon. Seems that this my heads soul mate!!!
