This restaurant came highly recommended as were were vacationing in South Beach and wanted some good seafood. The ambiance of this restaurant was very nice. Very romantic and intimate for small parties. The service was… meh. Not bad, but not the best for such an upscale spot. Our hostess was able to seat us immediately upon entry, however, the server changed and things became confusing when trying to determine who was responsible for what. Our drink orders were places and then we waited for our server for about 15 minutes before coming back over to take our orders. Their menu prices were pretty steep, but they did have a great special for two for $ 55.00 per person. Not bad since each person got their own appetizer, entrée, and dessert. The selections they offered was very diverse and each item ordered was delicious. The Tempura Shrimp and Lure Roll was amazing! We had the Grilled Sea Bass and it was prepared very well. The downfall of this establishment was the wait time. It took an extremely long time between our courses being served. In addition to the slow wait time, there was a family who was allowing their little one to run wildly throughout the restaurant. It became such a nuance that we had to speak to the restaurants concierge about the disturbance. It was only until then that something was said to the parents. Such an inconvenience.

Really enjoyed the food here! As a seafood foodie I am always looking for a great spot to try my favorites. Located at the Lowes hotel, they open at 6– so we went a little bit after at around 7. It was extremely convenient for us as we were staying at the Lowes. The décor was wooden and very homely feeling. Almost as if I was in some sort of yacht or ship. We ordered the seafood platter and the rainbow roll for our appetizer, main meal dorado(white fish similar to Branzino), scallops and for desert a chocolate dessert. I gave the location 4 stars because of the server. Our server was not as well versed on the menu as we would have liked and wasn’t very suggestive until we made it a point. Overall, Everything tasted amazingly fresh– I would definitely put this in my top 2 favorite seafood restaurants!

Will have to try it again. Not fit for a true foodie experience. A big shame, because the place is so beautiful and holds potential to be a great restaurant.

Had a great time at the bar for drinks and appetizers. Staff was friendly and food was great. Pricey, but it’s South Beach what do you expect? I would recommend it.

I have to start by saying, OMG!!! My husband and I stayed at the Loews hotel for 5 nights and on our last night we wanted a nice dinner. We made reservations at this amazing restaurant. The service was incredible! The waiters were super nice. Our reservations were at 7:15, they took us at at 7:05 when we arrived, and everyone there was just wonderful! The food was out of this world. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone that visits Miami, FL. The prices are good, the drinks are just amazing and tasty and the food, just unique and delicious!!! Please try it if you want great service and good food!

Had an amazing time here. We were greeted by the manager and seated within 5 minutes. We had excellent service with one main waiter helped by several others. We were recommended an excellent wine. The food was incredibly delicious. This is my second time here and would go back any day. The cocktails are great as well. After our dinner we ended up lounging at run line which is next door to the resturant.

The food was good, however it is terribly overpriced for what you get. The atmosphere and service were absolutely terrible. We were here last week(a group of 7 girls) and the service was horrid. The server pretty much ignored us the whole time we were there, didn’t even ask us if we wanted a 2nd cocktail and made it painful for us to make our order. When we were done, it took forever to not only get the bill but to actually pay it, as we were continuously being ignored. The server just slapped us with the 20% autogratuity that wasn’t earned in any sense. What a rip. Went to The Bazaar the night after and the experience was a complete 180 from this crap.

Cannot complain — ! Top shelf service in an intimate, classy setting. We had the delicious Caviar-deviled eggs followed by miso-salmon(my partner had red snapper) with yes — mashed potatoes(blandish) and aspargus spears(would benefit from being served with barley miso). The maitre d’Sam was attentive, our waitresses were lovely(in spirit, in service and in appearance). Will go back.

What a great experience. The friendly and knowledgable staff are attentive and have a timing likened to a dance… always paying attention but never too much and certainly not rushing! We started with a perfectly prepared Rainbow Roll and Field Greens Salad… all beaming with freshness and delicious! For the main course I had the whole roasted Durade with Lemon and spices. It was crispy and charred just to perfection while still moist and tender inside. A side of freshly steamed asparagus was a perfect accompaniment! My husband enjoyed the Nori Crusted Tuna served over Jasmine Rice with Asian Broccoli. The tuna melted in his mouth and the rice could have been a delicious and healthy meal by itself! A must for anyone visiting South Beach looking for fresh fish and seafood at its best!

Lure me in! I was just thrilled to visit Lure fish bar. A classic seafood restaurant serving fresh seafood, located in the Loews Hotel, the traditional atmosphere ensures you that a wonderful meal is in your future! The menu is actually very eclectic; ranging from sushi options, fresh catch of the day to more contemporary local flare. Dennis, our server was wonderful with complete knowledge of the menu and some diverse recommendations. He started us with some of the signature cocktails, I tried The CATCHANDRELEASE(Absolut, Dolin Blanc, Fresh Pressed Watermelon, Lemon, Orange Bitters, Watermelon Radish) and my companion had The QUEENSREGULATIONS(Absolut Elyx, VeeV Acai, Hibiscus Tea, Lychee, topped with Champagne), both delicious and a perfect start to the evening. Here are some of the tasty menu options we tried; *Deviled Eggs(with American Caviar) YUM! *Tuna Tacos(Cucumber, Avocado, Soy Vinaigrette, Micro Cilantro) Double YUM! *Crispy Rice Cakes(Spicy Tuna Tartare, Wasabi Aioli, Crispy Nori) *East, West Coast Oysters and Dressed Oysters *Nigiri & Sashimi Platter *Grilled Whole Daurade(Watercress, Grilled Lemon, Agrodolce) AWESOME! *Ginger fried rice/if it does not come with your meal, ask for it, its fabu! Leave room for the sweets, there the BOMB!!! *KEYLIMEPIE(House-Made Graham Cracker, Whipped Cream, Roasted White Chocolate) *SORBETSELECTIONS(Mango-Lime, Meyer Lemon, Passion Fruit) Great Food, Great Service, a worth visit in SOBE

The best steak I’ve had in a long time! Being the non-seafood eater in my dinner party, I had the NY Strip and sweet potato soup. The cut of beef was better than any steakhouse I’ve visited with the flavors pushing it over the top. So, while all the others at my table enjoyed their sushi and snapper… I was in carnivore heaven!

It’s difficult to sum up the experience because everything was fine except for the menu. Meaning, service, ambiance, drinks, were all wonderful, but the menu was really disappointing. First of all, very expensive(overpriced). But even that would have been okay, but my family was pretty shocked at how hard it was to order local seafood at this place. I mean, you’re sitting at a table within a stone’s throw from the Atlantic, and they want you to buy fish flown in from Greece? And the pot of gold dessert is overrated. The only food item I liked was the key lime pie.

The dinner begins with some little Biscuits and butter. I will agree with prior reviewers that they are smaller less decadent version of the red lobster cheddar bay biscuit. Deviled Eggs– how can you mess up deviled eggs? Maybe you can’t. And they didn’t. These were tasty and the roe(caviar? Im not fancy enough to know exactly what to call it) on top was nice touch. 5⁄5 Butter Poached lobster — The bucatini is like a thicker spaghetti noodle it’s tasty but the dish definitely sounds better than it is. Lobster portion is average. Pieces of whole lobster at least, not shredded. 4⁄5 Sea Scallops– delicious delicious delicious. Very well cooked. Tomato broth mixed very well with the mashed potatoes. Overall the dish was I think the best of what anyone ordered at the table. 5⁄5 Wine list: extensive. We chose an «economical» red to share at the table and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Ok, I’m going to break this into the parts of our experience, because they rate high in some spots and not so well elsewhere. Décor & Ambiance. Beautifully laid out, with a nice touch of glitz. Looks just like a South Beach restaurant should look. We were greeted by the Asst Mgr, Sam, who was very gracious. 4 stars. Waitstaff. We had a wonderful waiter, Arturo, who could not have been better. He made dinner fun. My only complaint was that he tried too hard to sell us items(stone crabs, desert, etc.) that we didn’t want. Whether that’s restaurant policy or his own shtick, it brought him down to a 4 star rating. Wine & Liquor. The Bourbon list is amazing. Had lots of good choices, although they were out of Pappy Van Winkle. Wines were a different story. My wife likes a very full Cab and was real specific to the Sommelier. He tried a couple of times to match her request, but never succeeded. A full-bodied Cab for $ 100 – 125 shouldn’t be that big an issue, right? 2 – 3 stars. Food. In two words, Fabulous & Overpriced. Great Deviled Eggs with caviar. We both had selections of oysters(at $ 4 each) for appetizers. Overpriced by $ 1.50 apiece. Delicious. For dinner, my wife had the Deraude and it was wonderful. I had the Diver Scallops and they were perfect. Each entrée was $ 38, about $ 10 more than you’d pay almost anywhere. We skipped desert, despite Arturo’s insistence. 4 – 5 stars. Tip Policy. I get it. Europeans don’t tip, so force everyone to pay a minimum tip. I get it, but I hate it. 2 stars. Conclusion. Unlimited budget? Don’t mind getting up sold? Not particular with wines? Love great seafood? This is the place for you. If any of these is a non-starter, take a pass. Our dinner, with 20% tip, was just over $ 400. Next time, we’ll go to A Fish Called Avalon.

During Miami Spa month and Miami Spice, my sister, cousin, and I try to plan a spa day and then meet with our significant others for a date night at a participating Miami Spice restaurant. So for dinner we chose Lure. Simply because on the menu they had ice cream sandwiches for dessert, duh! The restaurant is located at the Loews hotel. When we arrived, the restaurant was kind of empty but we were greeted with big smiles and welcoming attitude. Our waiter Eli, I believe, was so awesome. He made sure we were all happy and got what we were looking for. He let us know there were 2 items on the Miami Spice menu that were not available. One of them was the ice cream sandwiches! We were so sad. He said he would talk to the chef and see what he can do. Eli sure earned his tip! He showed up with those decadent babies and made our night perfect! The other food items on the spice menu were ok. The portions were small. So small, that I think I ate my dinner in about 5 minutes. Thank god the ice cream sandwiches were large and there were 2 of them. If not, I might have had to cross the street to a bar and grab another bite. Not sure if this was only for Miami Spice or if this is the size of their portions, but it did not convince me to return here. Overall, great service, beautiful restaurant, and great ice cream sandwiches! Thank Eli.

I stayed at the Lowes Hotel last year and since our room was right by the restaurant we decided to come here one night during our stay. The service was great and the atmosphere was beautiful. We stopped in over the weekend and were seated right away. For the appetizer, we had the Fried Calamari which was fantastic. For our entrees, we went with the burgers. I know, it sounds like an odd choice when going to a seafood restaurant but I was in the mood for it. Everything was cooked very well and I really enjoyed the fries. Drinks were great too. I’d love to check out the Lure Fishbar on Mercer Street in Manahttan, I bet it’s just as good.

Connected to the Loews Hotel we stayed at, when we checked in we were told by the front desk how good it was, how great the reviews were, etc. etc. We knew from experience that most of the time a eatery connected to a hotel is going to be over priced and underwhelming but did we listen to our advice? Ummm no. The only reason we went was because we were both spent from a day in the sun and didn’t feel like the over priced room service or walking to where we should’ve gone to eat. So we went here, did the reservation with a note that we were there for our anniversary, and then were let down once we got there. Service was blah at best(they were all hustling like mad at the tables where the conventioneers were and at one table that must’ve been a big wig because they were getting A+++ attention) the food was chic size meaning small! And while there the fire alarm went off. We were hoping we’d have to evacuate and therefore have an excuse to leave but no such luck. Our server very nonchalantly said it was just a false alarm… seriously though. How did he know? I will admit to the food being tasty and well prepared but small servings at ridiculous prices with mediocre service and no mention of our special occasion? Not recommending you to anyone!

We had a group of five come here for dinner before a night out. First, we were told the table was still having dessert. 30 minutes after our reservation time, they seated us. We started with a round of drinks. I ordered the Dr. Greenthumb and then a dirty martini. The drinks were very well made. For dinner I had the scallops, and they were a solid four stars. After we ordered, the waiter stopped by about three times saying he would get some biscuits to our table. They didn’t arrive until after our entrees arrived, and they tasted like… well, nothing. Red Lobster does them better. At the end of the night as they were cleaning our table, one of the busboys dropped a dish of soy sauce, splashing on two of my friends wearing white tops. Yeah, that’s not ideal, but they weren’t mad at him; these things happen. He was extremely apologetic and rushed to get tonic water for them to dab on the stain. What earned this place one star is the way everyone else handled the situation. The waiter said that guys will still look at them despite the soy sauce stains all over their shirts. Yay. While I understand he was trying to lighten the mood, that’s the last thing someone really wants to hear. Then this fratastic looking manager struts over in his power suit and says he is sorry but there is nothing he can personally do to about the stains and offered to pay for the dry cleaning. Yes, thank you, that is the least you can do. Then he offers everyone a round of shots. Really? This restaurant just ruined our night. At least offer to comp their meals or drinks or SOMETHING. At the end of the meal, we get the check and notice gratuity was already added. We would’ve tipped anyway, but it’s the principle that they had the audacity to include it. Take my $ 80. I look forward to not coming back.
