My experienced there was not so good to be paying $ 20. The place is not that big and when it gets packed there’s no way you can dance. The vip area is not what i excepted. It’s just couple of couches and thats it. You still dont have room to dance. The music is ok if you like the whole colombia vibe. All in all i rather find another place to have fun.

We were greated at the door by a hostess that asked if we wanted to purchase a bottle of liquor, it was only my wife and I and I said that
I was not interested to purchase a whole bottle, then she said that I had to pay a $ 20.00 per person cover charge. I asked if the place was full
and she said it was not, there is plenty of room.
We came in an the place was full to the gills, nowhere to seat or even a spot at the bar to lean. We tried to dance and it was nearly impossible, then we decided to leave and ask for our money back, the lady told me to speak to the doorman who turn around and asked me to read the sign at the wall he said «No refunds», I said the place is full
I cannot even move, I want my money back, then he said you want to go back in… or move out of the way, there is people wanting to come in.
I told the people out in the line «Do not Pay to get in, the place is full and there is nowhere to seat », then the doorman he told everyone that there was a VIP where they could seat.
There is NO VIP room there, there was a few couches and they were all taken !
The place is NOT suited to be a night club, the distribution does not
allow for seating and lacks of a specific dance floor, It may be a restaurant, but NOT a Night Club.
I feel that they have no right to do that, they keep the line waiting for people to come in and leave… charging the cover knowing that the
place is full.
I will contact the Better Business Bureau Regarding this matter, but on the meantime I strongly advise you to avoid the place.

Macondo is a Colombian restaurant/​nightclub in the heart of SoBe.
If you go in before 9 p.m., there is no cover charge and you can dine with your friends before the place turns into a nightclub.
The food is simply spectacular! It is authentic Comlombian cuisine. Prices are in mid-​range. The servers and bartenders are very friendly and very good. Drinks are cheap for SoBe and tasty!!!
After 11 p.m., it turns into a nightclub. They play a variety of music, everything from 80s American songs to Vallenato.
I suggest getting there semi-​early. The place gets packed!

The beautiful exotic Latin crowd that gathers in this place is probably what makes this place so entertaining. Beautiful Colombian and Venezuelan girls attract a nice crowd to gather and party at this place.
Music is a fusion of salsa, merengue, reggeaton and vallenato, with more American and European tunes.
Prices are very fair and the staff is very friendly, lines at the door are sometimes a bit long but normally visitors get a chance to come in promptly.
Their VIP is OK, but the main dance floor is probably the most fun. Expect to see a lot of nice classy ladies.
