So after coming from the spacious Zara next door, I wandered into slightly smaller MNG to take a look around. The lighting was dimmer but the music was more fun. I perused the clothes and figured out the price range is a bit on the higher end. I headed over to the clearance racks which was near the dressing rooms. As I was feeling up the clothes, a bunch of paramedics came out with a girl clutching her head and the other arm had been bandaged up. Hm, what’s this? I’m getting a free show! She was still wearing a MNG dress, the security sensor clearly visible on the neckline. Very odd. The paramedics ushered her away, her friend trailing behind. I wonder if she got a free dress. The sales guy later told me she passed out and hit her head. Well, after trying on things in the dressing room, I still don’t get how she did it. They were more shallow than other dressing rooms I’ve been in but at the same time, the tiny cubicle isn’t klutz-inducing. Oh, the dress I tried on fit but I didn’t like how things erm, bulged. The sales guy came in, surveyed me and said, «oh honey, you just need some Spanx.» Que horror. He said he’ll try to find the next size for me though when I frowned at him. After about 10 minutes, he rushed in and said they had it but he couldn’t find it since there were 18 unpacked boxes in the back. I said that was all right and I’ll probably get it in LA when I go home. He said he would call the store but I told him not to bother. We got to talking and he’s from California as well. He gave me some great tips for a hairdresser in the area. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to actually get the cut but it was much appreciated. Very lovely store and friendly staff.
