We had the best waiter ever. He immigrated here from Italy three years ago and really understood his wine. He assisted us with our starters and advised us with our order. We believe his name is Giavano. He’ll be 26 years old soon and epitomizes the American Dream. Thanks for having such delightful wait staff!

Very good authentic Italian food and excellent service from our waitress. Food is reasonably priced for South Beach. We had as an appetizer the soufflé di formaggio and as entrees the spaghetti, lasagna and funghi/prosciutto pizza. Very family friendly as well.
The food is really nauseating, seafood are not fresh. we ordered ceacer salad, just two dips of it, and then can not eat any more!

Muy mala calidad de comida… No tiene buen sabor… Pedí una piña colada y era agua con azúcar… Sin preparación ninguna ni calidad. No me gusta… La atención buena. Lo único…

Good refreshing drinks. We landed sooner than our room was ready so we wandered around the place for a few hours. We saw this place that was just down the street and decided to drop in for a drink.

We had an interesting first food experience once we arrived in South Beach. There’s TONS of restaurants up and down Ocean Drive and they have these pushy hosts/hostesses that want you to sit down etc. We walked by most of those, but I did Unilocal for some Italian and this place showed pretty highly rated so we checked it out. The food at Pappa’s was… really OK. They claimed it to be super authentic and super fresh. I noticed that the Italian places in the area including Pappa E Ciccia are like real Italians that can’t speak much English. Interesting, and that included the wait staff and everything. So the regular pasta was fine. I got this whole wheat pasta(because that’s all I can eat) and it was pretty much flavor-less. I ordered some marinara on the side to add in flavor. The eggplant parm was… not my favorite either. It was very greasy and rich — not really breaded and crispy. That’s how I like it, anyway. The service was fine. The restaurant is a bit away from the jammin’ part of Ocean Drive — maybe my 1 – 2 blocks. Still a decent location. The check came out quite high, but that’s probably par for the course, based on the location.

Went there after reading the reviews. The service was mediocre at best. I shouldn’t have to ask for water. We originally sat outside but due to the wind, we asked to more inside. They were accommodating but felt like they were speaking in Italian about us. Maybe because we had to change servers. I started with the calamari which was good not great. For the entrée, I got the calzone with sausage which was great. The chief in charge of the pizza oven looked like he knew what he was doing. My son got the spaghetti, it was ok. My husband got the lasagna which was terrible. The noodles were mushy and he couldn’t even eat it. We told the waiter but he did nothing but say he was sorry. Don’t’ think this place warrants a repeat trip for sure. Two stars is probably generous but the calzone was really good.

Sat outside, which was lovely. Great pasta, wine was excellent, and good service. Good for reasonable prices.

We had such a nice time here We wanted proper Italian food and after walking through the chaos of ocean drive I did a quick Unilocal search. This place came up with a good rating and we hoofed it down here immediately. So very glad we did. Food was excellent! Service was excellent. Atmosphere was perfect. Pizza Margherita was authentic Spaghetti pomodoro al Dente and fresh ROBERTO So kind and attentive We can’t wait to return. Highly, highly recommend this place!

We got a deal off Unilocal and decided to try this place after seeing good reviews and food options. We arrived at the restaurant got seated by the host who looked like she didn’t care at all about us, didn’t greet us. After being seated we waited for 20 minutes for a waiter to come to our table. We didn’t look very happy and he definitely noticed because he offered us two champagne. We ordered the Margarita pizza and the Funghi Prosciutto pizza, which were very good! That was the only good thing about our experience!

We are visiting from out of town and chose this place based on reviews. I realize now, it wasn’t a good choice to bring the family. I have to start with the calamari. I’ve been to many Italian restaurants and almost always I get calamari. Most Italian restaurants can make it with their eyes closed. This was, by far, the worst calamari my husband and I have ever had. My dish was ok. My husband got the seafood pizza and he said it was horrible and he’s not a picky eater. Overall, it wasn’t the best Italian food. Service was fine. But it also annoyed me that they charged us $ 4 each for our soda refills and charged the kids for the price of a cappuccino for warm milk. I don’t ever mind expensive restaurants, but this one was not worth the price.

My spaghetti promodoro came perfectly aldente; sauce was delish, produce was of top quality. Friend’s mushroom ravioli was excellent. Not too many restaurants on Ocean Drive impress me but this one I’d definitely come back !!

Wow wow wow. Hands down the best Italian food I’ve ever had!!! Cheese soufflé and carpaccio were incredible. The service was super friendly and on point. I know we were in for a treat when I walked by and saw the pizza. For dinner we shared lobster and a ribeye. The pasta was home made and the sauce was very fresh. I’ll definitely be returning.

Visited this small Italian restaurant back in March, and just getting around to reviewing it. What a fabulous find on our first night in Miami Beach. Great cocktails, and food. But the best part was the treatment of the Italian men, and women working that night, from our fabulous bartender, to our wonderful pizza cook Antonio, to the ladies tending to the front. Enjoyed it so much that we visited twice in the 4 nights we had in Miami.

OMG — totally love this place! It is south of 5th — so a little quieter but the food is awesome. My hub started with the Tuna Carpaccio — and I had the Beef Carpaccio(with arugula and padano) Yum!!! They I had veal ravioli and my hubby had the linguini with clam sauce. We shared cannolis and tiramisu to finish. A couple of glasses of wine and they had to roll us out of there LOL. Seriously though, all homemade pasta which was fantastic. It was busy — so a testament to a good spot! Pretty reasonable too for such good quality in the food. We’ll be back! Molto bene!
