Worst, Unsafer pet clinic ever, I am so relieved that I’ve suspected and didn’t
obey a doctor that prescribed a neurotoxic side effects medicine to my pet, and
because of this, she almost died, when I called him, his advice to solve the situation was «try to give her same «high» dosage next morning, but i did not and even Thougth,
Next Morning my dog could not walk, so I went to a Real pet clinic.
my pet is well now, and I won’t ever step in Pets&Vets again.

I wanted a vet to come out to my home because it was difficult to bring my 2 cats to them. I did research and called people and Pets & Vets was rated the highest and best prices while very few people come out to see pets. I got their FVRCP shot and check up and they answered all my questions and told me what I should be doing for them. They must have been here an hour. It was Dr. Andreu and a nice assistant.
Great place I highly recommend and I am extremely knowledgeable in cats.
I finally found a great place in Miami Beach for them.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Dr. Andreu and his staff are to me and my little dog and cat. I have lived in many states/​cities and always had pets so always had a regular vet in each place I’ve lived, but none have compared to Pets & Vets. My dog and cat have had ongoing health issues that have required me to go to the clinic about twice a week almost every week and what could have been a very money-​draining situation if this were another clinic, has been very reasonable financially considering all the check-​ups, tests, treatments, and medications that my pets have been needing lately. You can tell that Dr. Andreu and his staff are truly in it for the love of animals and not just see this as a «job». I’ve seen people bring in strays because they know that Dr. Andreu and his staff will not turn them away or take advantage by charging a ton of money to help a stray. I am fortunate that Pets & Vets is only a few blocks from where I live, but I know there are people who don’t even live that close by who bring their pets here because word is spreading quickly about how wonderful this place is and I am one of those clients happily telling all my pet-​owning friends to bring their furbabies here.

My wife and I took Avicii to his first dr´s appt yesterday. From the 1^st phone call with the receptionist we felt the positive vibes and good nature. During our visit, everyone at the clinic was amazing! :-) It is more than obvious that they love animals, and humans too! Their treatment towards Avicii was great, and to our wallets too!

Dr Andreu and his staff are absolutely great. The first thing I Iook for when choosing a doctor or veterinarian is their knowledge, professionalism, and trustworthiness. Dr. Andreu has everything I would look for in a vet to take care of my dog. He is attentive, answers my questions thoroughly in a way that I can understand, and he genuinely care’s about my dog’s health and well-​being. His office staff is also great; they answer the phone right away and email you back promptly. His prices are reasonable and I’ve never felt pushed into buying something I didn’t want as someone else had mentioned. After my dog gets his yearly vaccine, Dr Andreu always calls the next day to check in and see how my dog is doing. Excellent veterinary practice, I highly recommend it!

Excellent service– over the phone and in person by everyone I spoke with. Very courteous, knowledgeable and professional people in a nice and clean environment. My fur baby is in good hands.

I was a bit concerned at first but I am glad I decided to go with them. We tried several other vets but the prices are crazy compared to Pets and Vets. Dr. Andreu is very good and it’s obvious he cares about each pet he treats. No question he is honest and once again very good price for the quality of care and service which he and his staff provide.

Dr. Andreu is the best. He has helped both of my dogs (and they truly are my children). The staff is also great-​accommodating and patient. I am never pressured to buy anything and the prices are fair. I highly recommend pets and vets. I will continue to bring my pets there.

Dr. Andreu is the BEST! He truly cares about your pet, he’s very knowledgeable and experienced. My dog had pyometra and he performed the spay surgery together with his partner and the outcome was great. If you’re looking for a vet who’s not gonna charge you an outrageous fee like most do, go to Pets and Vets. Not the fanciest place but they will take care of your dog with love. The receptionist and his partner are great too! I feel lucky to have found Dr. Andreu :)

The Pets & Vets staff are all amazing. They genuinely care about you and your pet. We have been going to them with all our animals for the last 2 years. They’ve helped us with everything from a new puppy to putting down our beloved 16 year old cat.
No matter what the situation they are passionate and treat your animal as their own.
I highly recommend using them as your vet. Prices are great too!

Dr. Andreu as well as the other doctor there are amazing. We adopted a dog at Miami Animal Services and unfortunately got a very sick dog. Dr. Andreu saved Mambo’s life, with an honest and budget friendly approach to veterinary services. I have been ripped off by vets many times over the years, so I was very relived to find Pets & Vets.

I went to see Dr. Andreu largely because he was in the neighborhood. I just moved here and needed to take my dogs in for certification.
As one of the reviews above described, it’s a no-​frills type of place. But that is just fine. It fits perfectly into the neighborhood. Small waiting room. No bells and whistles. But he and his assistant were great. They seemed knowledgeable and were easy to communicate with.
They weren’t pushy and there weren’t any attempts at convincing me that my dogs needed million dollar treatments for anything. That’s of particular importance to me because I readily admit that I don’t trust vets and think they take advantage of our attachments to our pets. But I didn’t get that sense here.
I called and was immediately able to negotiate and appointment that fit my needs. I was in and out with no hassle.
I’ll certainly lock Pets & Vets in as my local vet when in Miami.

I want to commend Dr. Basta for having such a professional and caring staff. I especially want to thank him for recommending his son Dr. Basta Jr who is just as professional as his dad.

This place isn’t for everyone… But I love it and it has saved me a lot of money!
Living in the neighborhood I understand how this place fits in. If feels like you are walking into a vet somewhere in a remote part of South America. The vet is very knowledgeable and caring and won’t charge you a dime for the visit. He only charges for the medicines and procedures. This is awesome! No need to pay an extra $ 50 to $ 100 just to walk in the door. This is especially helpful is you have more than one pet.
Now, you get what you pay for as far as convenience. It’s a super small waiting room with one doctor and no appointments. So, I have been in and out in 10 minutes, and have also waited 2 hours to be seen. He will take his time with you and not rush no matter how many people are waiting. If all you need is the annual check up then you will be in with him for 15 minutes while you chat about everything from what you feed your dog/​cat to the best way to do something. Yes, he gives lots of free advice, and sometimes, I see how it can be a little off putting. For example, he told me I absolutely had to switch my cats from dry to wet food and explained thoroughly why. I followed his advice, and now my cat is much thinner and I thank him for it. Another time, we got into a flea medicine discussion. I still disagree with his choice and feel my choice is better. I told him so and we have agreed to disagree.
The one thing that will never suffer is the level of treatment given to your pet. They take very good care of my cats and even operated on my boy cat for a ruptured cyst right there in front of me last year. (It was super gross with blood and … well I wont gross you out. Now I understand why most vets take the cat in the back and make you wait. It was cool to see exactly what the treatment was though)
I recommend this vet to anyone who loves their pet but can’t afford fancy lobbies and magazine racks. You get great service without having to pay for bells and whistles you don’t need.
PROS: great vet, inexpensive, loving, caring, open only at night
CONS: not always time efficient, waiting room, not fancy, open only at night

This is one of those reviews that I really had to think about before posting, I’m just not sure how I feel about this place. I called them asking about a flea prevention pill for my dogs and they told me yes they did carry it but I had to bring both dogs in to get it. (If you’ve never tried to get two 60 pound American bulldogs in a car on a rainy night, consider yourself lucky) so I finally get them into the car and over to the place, we make it in only to be in the smallest waiting room on earth. The owner was there and started questioning (interrogating?) me about my dogs and throwing suggestions at me about everything from what I feed them to where I should walk them. Now I’m all for pet advice but this guy was very forceful and made it a little uncomfortable for me. We finally make it to the topic of the medication which is why I came and he informs me they don’t carry it for my dogs size. Very unprofessional, considering I had called and double checked and went through the trouble of getting my two dogs there. He then tells me they have another version of the pill which just so happens to be $ 10 more per pill. Classic bait and switch. By then I really needed the medication as I was boarding the dogs the following day for the weekend. I shelled out the cash, taking unwanted suggestions the whole time. The guys never got a bad attitude but it left a bad taste in my mouth about their business.
They get another star because they did call me the next day to ask how my dogs were and how they reacted to the medication which is nice. But I’m not sure if it’s enough for a return visit.
