Provecho Bistro Latino

The fish tacos here are the Best in South Beach! Amazing cilantro sauce and great prices. Food is cooked right in front of you. sometimes takes a little while if busy but I love this place:)

Provecho is a bit away from the glam of South Beach, but with feeling beachy local, maybe even a nice sit down urban taco stand with a slightly distressed exterior paint job, a neon sign, metal chairs, a patio view of a trafficky street, Latin rhythms and cold blasting AC, only a short walk from obnoxious Lincoln road mall (a glorified mall food court really).
I picked the recommendation — steak Milanese, breaded and topped with tomato and cheese with maduros and black beans for my 2 sides (around $ 11). It was a huge portion, but not super healthy, and maybe a little over charred, but it was home cooked fresh. I wasn’t wild about what I ordered but I’ll be back for something else.

Excellent! My favorites are the chicken soup, sweet plantains with cream cheese, and ropa vieja. Everything is so tasty and it’s a cute atmosphere. Very friendly staff too.

Service is always good, nice locals place on the beach. The tostones with ceviche are amazing. Good prices for south beach.

My breakfast here was very good, most notably the pancake that came with the large breakfast. I’d probably go back just for pancakes they were that good.
The service was not great. My waitress did not speak English, and then asked me if I spoke English when she repeatedly pronounced words wrong and I had to ask her over and over what she was trying to communicate to me.
The price was good and I was surprised with all the food I got for the cost. I only had breakfast but I was quite pleased, even with the coffee. I had asked for an American Coffee or a Café au Lait. She said they didn’t have any and then served me something that was almost identical. Enjoy: p

comida latina. thats what they have here. this is a modest restaurant. brand new, with a menu that does not seem to change much but they offer good stuff. the classics. im a fan of their chicken fricassee. big portion for about $ 8. comes with two sides. i got arroz moros and platanitos which they serve central american stylo, with grated cheese and cream. thats right folks. good stuff.
i usually sit by the counter cause i go for lunch and i usually do that by myself. everyone behind the counter has been nice to me. i like that they have a flat tv cause they sometimes show futbol. since davids café on lincoln closed down, this is the place to go to now.
