Fun local bar, not too far off the beaten path so will get full with tourists as well. Nice beer selection and lots of liquor as well. Friendly owner/operator Christian was on hand the other evening and explained the food set-up. Food menu comes direct from Tongue & Cheek next door so you can take advantage of their happy hour and family meal specials during the week there too. Reverse happy from 3−5am makes me a big fan.

The Public House is a great local neighborhood bar. World Cup Soccer Central. They open up early for the games. Drink and food specials everyday. The owners Christian and Diana are friendly and engaging. The service is fast the décor warm and inviting. I have a vacation rental business within 1 block of The Public House and recommend my guests to visit. Try the Moscow Mule it’s served in a copper cup. Amazing

Had my bday party there and it was a lot of fun. Good drinks, good prices, played pool and darts. it reminds me of a cool New York style bar, has character.

Nice local spot with a great atmosphere, draft selection, and food menu. Went with my girlfriend for the Sunday happy hour 5 – 8PM. Only a few other people the whole time, but still had a nice, cozy atmosphere. The bartender was engaging and down to earth. Super attentive and helpful, too. Draft selection was good, and included a delightful IPA. The happy hour food was great and cheap. Their food menu is actually provided by a neighboring restaurant: Tongue & Cheek. No complaints, but I was a little surprised when it was hand-delivered through the front door and billed separately. Would definitely revisit if I’m in South Beach again.

Loved this place! Came by on Saturday night for the beginning of a long bachelorette celebration and it was definitely the perfect place to start. It was busy, but not annoyingly busy to the point of not being able to move. The cocktails were great, and fair priced. The manager knew we were out celebrating a friends send off to marriage, so he sent us all a round of Watermelon-cucumber shots.(He must’ve heard us singing Beyónce lol) but it was really nice of him, and perfect timing to do so. Will have to come back and try the happy hour everyone is raving about.

I visited Miami recently with my girlfriend and stumbled across this gem in South Beach. What a great little bar. The vibe was really cool. It had a laidback, comfortable, neighborhood bar feel, but was more upscale with exposed brick walls and a wood beam ceiling. I imagine it’s a bar I’d belly up to often if I lived down there. The happy hour food menu was ridiculously awesome. We each had a dozen oysters and a beer for $ 15. I’d love to see something like this in Chicago. Their draft beer selection was on point as well and they had some great local options I hadn’t tried before. All-in-all a great experience. P. S. I’m perplexed by Fernando S.’ comments. He seems to be complaining about the tax charge on his bill being too low(hmmm ok). While he may be a self-professed«nerd», he clearly isn’t a mathlete. If he would have crunched some numbers he would have seen that the tax is only applied to the service charge because sales tax is included in the drink price(pretty common practice).

This is the perfect bar for me. It is in a great neighborhood SOFI(south of Fifth) the chill part of South Beach surrounded by fabulous little places to eat and next to a brand new European market with great cheeses, meats, and the works. First off the service is stellar and the owner is very involved and present. I always love that as it gives you a sense of how the place got its start and makes it feel more personal. They have two happy hours and lots of fun theme nights with cards darts, you name it The drinks are on point and there is not a lot of fan fair. Just a good martini beer or old fashion is the way to go. The décor is awesome and there is a pool table, darts, and even a Metallica pinball machine! It feels like a neighborhood bar only a bit more upscale, There is no smoking and the place looks like you could eat off the floor. and the lighting is low and lovely, My fave part is that they have no food but allow you to order food from anywhere and with 5 choices on the block I mixed and matched what I wanted! Its a nice chill place to watch a game and I really enjoyed myself, the folks who frequented it, and the people who work there.

I was recently in Miami visiting friends and we stopped in here for happy hour. So first impression this place is brand new and looks great. The happy hour prices were incredible, draft beers are $ 3, and well drinks $ 5(5pm-8pm, and again from 3am-5am). They have a great selection of beers too. The staff was very friendly and attentive, we had a great time, and will definitely go back next time i’m in town!

Initial impression was good in terms of looks. Small and simple bar with pool table, darts, and jukebox(wasn’t working). Music level was high. I even asked to have them turn it down a bit but they didn’t. Almost screaming was the only way to have a conversation. Drink prices were ok but the math behind it was bizarre. Im a nerd about this stuff so here are the details: Ketel One: $ 12 Stoli: $ 11 Hoegartten: $ 6 Subtotal: $ 29 Service Charge(Hate this): 5.32 Tax: 0.37 = makes no sense. should have been $ 2.03 @ 7% or up to $ 2.61 @ 9% if you include the additional 2% tourist tax at miami beach. I have picture to prove it.

This place used to be Love Hate, which is what my friend and I were trying to go to. Apparently it’s now Public House as of a week ago. Definitely the most popular bar we hit on a Friday night. Decent crowd, though all the girls seemed stuck up. Our bartender was the coolest, joking with my friend about closing his bar tab after he did it 3 times already. Good times.
