Nothing spectacular, but on a hot day walking down Ocean Drive, this place can come in handy. Basically you can get a miniature snow cone with fruit bits for $ 2.50(about a couple spoonfuls)

If you are on the beach and need to cool off afterwards and are staying away from the mojitos and margaritas, this is the place for your $ 5 Italian Fruit Ice. It’s very small, but it is made with real fruit and you need to support Rocky who is usually behind the counter.

Italian Ice is a summertime must in Chicago. Mario’s on Taylor street is highly regarded as the top place to go to get Italian Lemonade(the actual official name, not ice). Rocky’s gets their recipes from Mario’s and the quality is just as good. It should thrive in the tropical climate in SFLA. In Chicago, we have to wait until May to taste Mario’s. I will assume that Rocky’s will be open all year long. I loved my combination of Pineapple and Coconut(they were out of the actual Pina Colada) and my wife had the more traditional watermelon. I love Miami and next time I’m there, I will definitely try to hit Rocky’s again.
