Worst service I have ever seen… we got in and got our wristbands but they wouldn’t let us back in. If you don’t have a count or whatever you guys do, then what is the point of me paying for cover. Get your shit up guys this is pathetic.

When in Rome!!! A famous boozy nightclub with legendary status. It’s either going to be a complete tourist ripoff or a bit of Vegas with just enough drinks to pretend you’re having a better time than you actually are. Not here, they pull it off with a wink and a smile! We had a private party for our company here in their outdoor patio area. Not easy with over 400 people to have ample service, quality food, well poured drinks, and manage to make everyone feel welcome. The«Cleve» worked their magic and I was very satisfied and fairly impressed. The buffet food was pretty meat heavy. I had asked a waitress about this, and she offered to have a veggie pizza made up for me. I was expecting a so so small pie with lots of bread and cheese but instead I was treated to one of the best meals of my visit. Hand stretch dough molded into a thin crust horizontal shape I haven’t seen or tasted outside of Rome itself. Well done Clevelander! Great mixture of roasted root vegetables, eggplant, and cheeses with a beautiful crispy crust. I ate the whole thing and it was huge! They party was expertly well managed. This obviously wasn’t their first rodeo and the experienced showed. Bar staff was stressed but never lost their cool, and drinks came out efficiently, expertly poured. Food was well prepped, ready to go, Why not 5 stars? I did catch one bartender putting ice in my glass with his hands. Not cool at all, and opens a can of worms for health code violations. Rest rooms had an attendant all night, and it’s hard to keep it clean with so many people. We really needed access to more restrooms on the property we could easily get to. Overall, a great value and a great experience. Very welcoming staff who waited on us hand and foot and made sure we felt taken care of. If you can, get to The Clevelander once while you’re in Miami Beach. Hot stuff!

Meh… not much to it. A pool party with a small dance floor and over priced drinks. Welcome to South Beach baby!

Line up to get in, high cover to pay and loud music. We were there at night. I have a feeling I was too old and too married to enjoy the environment. Maybe if I could make it rain 100s and was single, it would be a great spot.

Hotel Review: I understand this is a party spot, I guess that’s what we signed up for and so I’m not going to judge them on the loud music until 5am. However, beyond that, this place was still crap. The rooms are extremely small and rundown. The walls are paper thin — at one point we thought the drunk throwing up in the room next to us somehow made it into our bathroom. There was some sort of motor that started the AC so about every 15 – 20 minutes we’d here it go off before the cool air kicked in. We were either awake because it was too hot or awake because the motor was going off. The staff was nice enough but they can’t control the party. A group on our floor decided to bring the celebration to the hallway and drank/screamed/danced right outside our door until almost 4. Wifi was free though, so that was nice! If you’re looking for a party, then this is the place for you. But don’t expect to enjoy anything other than the party!

We went to the rooftop bar, without having to pay cover. Not sure if there was one. The view is nice from the rooftop, and the space heaters were very welcomed since it got a bit chilly up there. The drinks were a little pricey, I don’t think a Vodka x Tonic should be 20 $, but the bill included gratuity. The music was an interesting mix, some songs worth dancing to. I might go back again.

We had a fun time on a sunny Sunday, drinking Miami Vices. The staff was friendly and overall I’d go back again. I’d imagine it’s a much different scene at nignt. During the day it was a mix of ages and not too crowded. The Drinks weren’t too boozy but they tasted great. They are no artificial colors or flavors added so the Miami Vices didn’t have that fake sugar, Slurpee like taste.

The Cleve! As us locals would call it. So I’ve been here countless of times and I can’t really say I’ve ever had a bad experience here. Other than the expensive drinks this place is a cool spot to hang out. Very touristy but the locals know when to come here. Always a different mix of people that come and enjoy themselves here. Many tourist get wasted and make entertainment for the locals and tourist as well. Which I’m not complaining about. If you’re looking to watch a sporting event the Cleve has TV’s everywhere. The food is alright, people are fun, drinks are expensive. It’s right on ocean drive so you’ll feel the breeze from the ocean coming in. This time around the weather was kinda chilly so I guess that’s what inspired me to get a «Raging Bull» which is a frozen drink mixed with redbull and some other vodka. Not sure on the details of the drink but it definitely made a positive impact on my mood if you know what I mean. My bartender was Tamara which she was awesome! Very nice to look at it as well :) So as far as what atmosphere the Cleve has, it’s a fun one. It’s always a spot you go to with friends at any time of the day and people will be there. Of course the weekends are the times when it’s most packed. Enjoy the breeze and palm trees while you’re there!

Disappointing, night at #clevelander in #southbeach: little to no alcohol in drinks, no show, despite being told by the server there is a show. I suppose the server was more interested in us buying weak drinks than telling us the correct schedule. Tomorrow night, I’ll go to Mango’s. They have real cocktails and a show. Skip the Clevelander go a block down to Mango Tropics

This is a review of the hotel only. One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at in a very, very long time. It’s more of a motel than a hotel but it’s not priced as a motel. Rooms are tiny. There isn’t even a dresser in the room to put anything on. The only flat surface in the room is a tiny night stand. If you are staying with a significant other I hope you are real comfortable with each other. There is zero privacy when you use the toilet. You can hear everything that goes on in the rooms next to you, including them using the restroom as well. You can hear everything going on down the hall and at the elevator. The thermostat in the room also made loud noises every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day. Not to mention that you can hear the sh*tty music coming from the bar till 5am. This is a terrible example of two business concepts that should never be merged together. You can’t be an open air bar/club open till 5am and a functioning ‘4-star hotel’ at the same time. It just doesn’t work. Staff was sort of friendly. Doorman was pretty much no existent or busy chatting instead of opening the door. Valet was a moron. Also for $ 40 a night I would expect my car to be parked inside. Car was filthy with dust and clear rain spots when I got it back. They clearly don’t attempt to function off of repeat business. I mentioned all my issues upon check out and got zero response from the Front Desk. They mentioned they could have moved me to another hotel because of the noise. So, I could pay for a Ocean View and because of their flawed design have a view of Collins. Totally makes sense. There are a thousand hotels in Miami Beach/South Beach. I suggest you find another one if you would like to enjoy your stay and actually sleep when you want to sleep.

Love the atmosphere at the Clevelander. The staff was great and friendly. Prices were reasonable for drinks and brunch specials. If you’re ever in Miami, I would suggest giving this place a shot :)

A very touristy bar. Everything on this entire street is touristy. Avoid at all costs. The food was okay. The giant long island iced tea was probably 80% sour mix.

Not too bad, not too bad. Of course, it’s happy hour everywhere or everywhere has a special, but my friends and I ate here while in Miami a month or so ago, and it was pretty good. I ended up with the wings and a drink. Originally, I ordered the hanger steak, medium well with eggs. It was overcooked, but the manager came out and without any rebuttal took it back, offered something else and to remove it from the ticket. It is good for a good, quick, inexpensive meal.

This place didn’t live up to the hype. My cousins and I went on a Saturday night. Drinks were ridiculously expensive and tiny. I tasted no alcohol whatsoever. The bar attendant was attitudinal and acted kind of airheaded. Music was not poppin’. I guess the dj was trying to be inclusive, but the music was horrible. One minute it was pop. Then it was a hot moment of hip hop. Then it was some strange house-type music. Then it was Latin music. Then there was a reggae mix. I don’t know what you call the terrible blend of music he had going on. Nonetheless, the dance floor was packed. Some people stood around waiting on good music to play while others made the best of whatever was on. People were drenched with sweat and still had a good time taking pictures with random people they just met, including my cousins and me. Because of my fam, the night was cool. We made the best of hanging out on the strip.

Clevelander was one of the top hot spots on our list of places to go, and it definitely did not disappoint. My girls and I(6 of us total) came on a Friday afternoon and opted for pitchers of three different cocktails the first 3 rounds — if I can remember correctly, we got Caribbean Punch, Mango Mojito, and a Classic Mojito. We had to add a shot to two of the pitchers because the drinks were not that strong. Nevertheless, they were still delicious. The bouncers were so friendly and so was our waitress. The weather was perfect and the atmosphere was perfect. Thursday — Saturday are the best days to go. We also came back on a Sunday night, and the dance floor was packed but not as packed as I would have expected. Still a great time!

Great drinks, not so great food. My boyfriend and I stopped by the Clevelander around lunch time after a morning at the beach. Everyone was in beachy attire in swimsuit cover-ups and T-shirts so we there was no need for us to change clothes, perfect! The first thing I noticed when we sat down was how affordable the drinks were compared to other places we had been to in South Beach. Frozen drinks were $ 11 for the small and $ 2 for an extra shot. A lot of the other restaurants in SoBe had cocktails ranging from $ 15 – 20 so this was a pretty good price. My boyfriend and I ended up sharing a large Miami Vice(45 oz) for $ 30 with an extra shot for $ 2. It was delish! However we really could’ve used a couple of more shots added to it because even with the added shot neither of us got tipsy. We also ordered the Seafood dip which I expected to be a warm creamy dip but instead it came out resembling coleslaw. The seafood dip was cold and had shredded vegetable and chunks of crab meat. It was not good so I just munched on the chips. Really good and affordable place to grab drinks after the beach but add a couple of shorts to every drink.

What trip to SoBe is complete without a visit to the Clevelander?! While I’d absolutely never stay at their hotel, we had a great time partying it up at night. No cover, outdoor music, right on Ocean Drive, and a makeshift dance floor right over their swimming pool(which, by the way, was FILLED with empty cups and napkins… yuck). Service is fast but there are no prices next to anything, so expect a rude awakening when the bill comes. Oh yeah, and tip is included, which I have serious problems with, but that’s the standard down here, so I’ll save that for another rant. Five stars for ambience, music, and location, three for the prices, and two for the automatic service charge regardless of the actual service provided.

I am only rating the bar at night. So me and my friends went here on a Saturday night. We had to wait in line and go up the elevator. The line wasn’t that long, I say about 10 people ahead of us, however it took like 30 minutes. And by the time we got there, it wasn’t that crowded. I know lots of clubs/bar do this but it was far less crowded to make that kinda line. The employees were nice and friendly though. They were always greeting us and making small talk. The roof top itself is breathtaking and a great view of Miami Beach. They had lounge like seats around with water fountains at the side. The music that night was a mixture of hip hip and pop. Drinks were nice and strong. However the Long Island Ice Tea looked darker than usual so I am not sure the proportions were correct. It was more of a dark brown than a lighter one. Bartender was super friendly though. This is a poppin place and it was a great night out with friends

The Clevelander was a lot of fun! Pitchers were a bit pricy, $ 18 for a pitcher of Bud Light, but expected for South Beach. A very lively atmosphere, lots of happy people & they have pretty decent food too. Very South Beachy, expect loud music and half naked girls. I would come back if on South Beach but wouldn’t drive through rush hour(again!) to go. Definitely check it out at least once, AND a really good place to bring visitors who want to be on South Beach.

Every time I have a friend who is in town they ask, «where should I go in south beach?» Sometimes the list is easier to tell them where not to go, but I always, always make sure they stop at the Clevelander. Ocean Drive is own for its terrible service and mediocre food and while the food isn’t my favorite here(if you do eat, pack some Pepto for after) the atmosphere is amazing and the drinks are good. If you catch them on a happy hour your frozen drinks are half off. Even as a local, when I’m here, especially during that time, I feel like I’m on vacation. $ 15 bucks(happy hour) will get you a margarita/daiquiri the size of your head! And it’s delicious. Probably the best thing about this place is the people watching. My suggestion: get there a little early, grab a good seat, order a big frozen drink, sit back and get ready to laugh your ass off and what you’ll see. Oh, and there is a «sexy pool». I don’t know if the pool makes you feel sexy, if you have to be sexy to get in the pool of what. I’ve never been in said pool, but maybe one day. They also have a big dance floor to watch people get their boogie on(yeah I said that). Just go there and have fun and make sure you have a drink in your hand. Within seconds you’ll see why it’s such a popular place.
