The Met

These are undoubtedly the worst people we have ever tried to book a room through. We booked a room on Nov 16^th for the Miami Boat Show and we rcvd a call on Jan 15^th saying our reservations were being cancelled because they didnt have enough room. When we asked for a manager they said they werent available. Finally after sending an email they called back and told us they were not going to do anything about it. They said we could book a bigger room but would have to pay the higher room rate. They told us to try finding a place elsewhere to stay but its the MIAMI BOAT SHOW!!! There is no where else to stay except 30mins away! They reason for cancelling our reservation is because we had 4 people staying in the room which we stated on the reservation online. We tried to call and book this room over the phone but the person taking the reservation could not understand us and told us it would be better to book online.

If you’re coming to Miami beach for parties and excitement, this is not the place for you. But equally, if you want to relax and take things easy – and have fun on your own schedule, it can’t beat. The location is great, convenient to the beach and Ocean Drive, in a charming residential feeling neighborhood.
The apartments are clean, well-​equipped for a stay. Other reviews have described what’s available, so I’ll just agree with them. I also like that you can just settle in and feel like you live there (I don’t have a daily cleaning service in my own home, is what I mean).

I just came back from Miami a few days ago and this was def a must stay! I stayed alone and the rate wasn’t bad for the amenities! This apartment styled hotel in the cut is so close to the beach! They offer full cable (all movie channels in hd as well), there is room service (but you can walk 2 blocks to their restaurant), washer & dryer, stove, dishwasher, pots & pans, silverware, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, blender, beach towels, folding chairs. They did an amazing job on this place. The only thing I did not like was there were no washcloths! I had plenty of towels and handtowels but no wash cloths. This is my new place to stay! I loved the cabana type couches and the had a very nice sized bed.

Nice little boutique hotel. Clean. Reasonable price. Close enough to the beach and Walgreens. Kitchen, towels, sun umbrella. everything you need is there.

This is a great little apart-​hotel nestled into an attractive SoBe residential neighborhood. It’s close to the beaches and nightlife, yet off of the main drag, which makes it quiet and relaxing. The Met’s aesthetic is clean, elegant and comfortable — good pillows, towels, and other little luxuries (fountains in the courtyard are a really nice touch!) I came to Miami on an extended work assignment, and was lucky enough to spend 2 months enjoying this place. The owner is super friendly, attentive, and discreet — meaning you’ll always feel taken care of but never intruded upon. The Met gets my highest praises! I actually posted a profile just so that I could write a review here. It was *that* good. And yes, I can’t wait to return.

Came here for a weekend in South Beach with 6 girls and had an AMAZING TIME. Would recommend this place to anyone who ever wants to stay in Miami. It’s an apartment/​hotel, fully furnished, but no cleaning lady comes in to change towels or clean until you check out. Diego is the manager and allowed us to check in early and check out late without any additional fees. We had a friend who came to visit, and we just called Diego, and he walked over just to bring us a parking pass. Great service, nice price ~$ 200/​night (no additional fees per person), very accomodating, comfortable, and fairly close to everything you want to see in South beach. A few blocks to the beach, but to go out for the night life, you’d have to hail a cab. I would never stay at another place in south beach except for the MET!
