My grandparents are old. Really old. Since I am the closest grand kid by geography the responsibility of finding them ‘assistance’ landed in my court. Here is my story lol. 1st, basically there are 3 options of what to do with the altacockers: 1. Retirement communities — too lame. Gramps is a cool dude, was not impressed with the people or activities of the two we checked out. Likes gambling, hates shuffleboard. 2. Hospice — seems to be exclusively for dying. They aren’t there yet, maybe in 10 years. 3. Home healthcare — bingo. Nurses come to their house, give them medicine, help out, attention, etc. They get to keep their sweet pad in Boca and get the care they need. So once I decided on the in-home set-up I narrowed it down to about a dozen agencies. Talked to the managers of each and Judy of this place really blew me away. Simply seemed to be the most caring of the bunch. Bubbe and Zayde get 6 visits a week(I drive up Sundays), insurance covers it, and they loooove their 2 nurses. Thanks again to the nurses and staff there. I don’t encounter many seniors, but when I do I will be sending them your way. Best, Rob
