Rhythm & Pitch

I have to thank my good college friend for bringing me to Rhythm & Pitch. We both started taking piano classes after purchasing a one month Groupon for about $ 49. At first, I thought this would just be something fun to do together. Soon after our month was up, we were not ready to say goodbye!
You may think I was starting out too late in life with this dream of becoming a concert pianist – of which you may be absolutely correct – but our instructor makes the class so worthwhile. The best part is that we are not just learning to memorize music. We are actually learning how to read music.
The instructor is easy-​going, but with a strong hand. During class we practice our major scales, chords, and set aside time to practice a song we are working on. I never thought I would be learning to play piano at 27 years of age.
They have classes for every other instrument you can think of as well as vocal lessons. Primarily, you will find children here, so most likely I look like a parent walking in to pick up their kid. Not! I’m here to learn music. The great part is that we’ve worked out a group deal so we are in a private class with one other adult.
