I just can’t issue Supercuts just one star… nah, yes I can. Please note, however, this star issuance is not reflective of the behaviour of the«employees» this company hires. They have always been very nice. Notice how«employees» is placed within quotation marks. This will make sense to you, later, on what will more than likely be an abnormally long Unilocal for a one star issuance. You just need to know some things before going to a Supercuts. Who better to tell you than me. «Me,» somebody that just doesn’t know when to shut-up. All in an effort, thanks to Unilocal,to keep the public at large informed, for free. The first time I even heard of Supercuts was in the late 80s while in High School. My best friend at the time, her mother, owned a popular beauty salon here in Hialeah. She loved cutting my hair because I am not a picky person and will always be willing to try something«new.» From Flat Tops with the new large comb introduced for said style at the time to whatever the Hell she named it. I allowed her to do it, no questions asked. This is how I found-out just how difficult cutting my hair is. I have three«tornadoes» a happening on my head making any cut difficult if you don’t know what you’re doing. So one day, I show-up at her salon frantic. I had just gone to one of the still new slowly expanding Supercuts in Miami. «¿Pero quién te ha hecho ‘eso’ en la cabeza?» Sorry Supercuts, this really was a busy hair salon. I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m partly to blame for the horrid reputation you quickly deservingly acquired. So, that’s how my knowledge of Supercuts began. I know at some point in the late 90s they were purchased by a larger company with«Regis» in their name. Regis is not an actual«person.» I don’t know much about this but it’s an inspiring story if you’re ever bored and want to read something interesting as it relates to the success story of a business here in America. You can read that story here: Anyway…I told you this was going to be abnormally long for a one star issuance. During some of my most difficult times on Your Planet, I have found myself having to go to Supercuts. It is no secret, it is much more less expensive to get work done here. I have always kept the option open of going to a Supercuts. Not for a «style» but for minor things. As was the case yesterday. The back of my neck was starting to look like astroturf. Mother was at the dentist next door and I knew I’d be in and out in no time. I’m starting to let my hair grow longer again. Above my ears needed to be slightly trimmed as well. Simple, right? That couldn’t even be done right. I will try my best to take a picture later. So when I see people, especially women, come here for any«style,» it baffles me honestly. The much widespread well deserved«word around town» about«Supercuts,» isn’t because of my incident in the late 80s. It’s very well known. They get paid by the hour to work here and, at minimum wage, if I’m not mistaken. If you come here, your tips will help them get the Hell out of here sooner and open-up their own salon. Even leaving with a bad cut that even my 83 year old mother could have done, I still left her a nice tip. Quite possibly, I can’t confirm this, but this seems to be the school after the school. They have to undergo a very strict rigorous training program before given their own chair here. Possibly to make sure they aren’t going to chop someone’s ear off. The manager, standing in a corner staring at the work being done, makes me feel a little bit ill at ease. As I’m sure it does the stylist as well. Yeah… it’s weird. This is probably why you see such a turnaround of stylists at Supercuts. The good ones, eventually move-on to better pastures. Having worked for Supercuts on your resume, however, I honestly don’t know how that will reflect when trying to get a job at a real salon. I mean, this is a very well known company with impressive training and all, but, the stories all agree about why you’re here to begin with. I am also no stranger to this Supercuts in particular. For about a year, I was doing some computer work at a neighboring business. Being so busy during that time, walking over here for«this or that,» was a no brainer. Which, inside, it is begging for a slight remodel. It no longer«fits-into» the upscale Miami Lakes surroundings. It looks awful inside and dirty. You will also notice, as hinted in paragraph numbers three through six, I don’t compromise myself to any«stylist» or «salon.» More so here on Unilocal. This isn’t the first salon I Unilocal.Soon, there will be yet another. At some point, I will create a list. One of the best features Unilocal has to offer. So what I’m trying to say in all this, unless you just«have to,» find yourself a real salon instead. This is the Taco Bell of salons. Also, before ending on a negative note, the products being sold here are not bad at all. I have used them before. Thank you for reading: e)

I went to get highlights and I didn’t love it. The color was too bright even when I told the lady I wanted dark color. I went to another salon to tone my highlights and they told me that they didn’t even highlight my hair correctly. It was uneven! Never again.

Took my daughter to wash, blow dry her hair and trim. I understand nothing is perfect but I hope next time they do better.

Trim not delivered. I was very unsatisfied when the hairstylist was done with my hair. I said trim and it ended up being a full blown haircut. I even gave her from where to cut it and she went overboard. It wasn’t even worth the price. Never will I come here cut my hair, or should I say butcher.

I was so happy with my hair after Vince trimmed it. What a difference it made in the look and feel of my hair. It went from dull and stringy to healthy and full. It was fast, hassle free and a fraction of what I used to pay. Vince also recommend the perfect shampoo for my hair. I couldn’t be happier.
