I gave one star because the option for no stars was not available
It is hard to say what they do except fail to provide the Teeth Cleaning in my insurance
Why — they were too greedily and busily trying to upsell me to a more expensive Deep Cleaning — no way to tell if I needed but I suspect they are a Bait and Switch Dental Provider
I DO NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS YOU WANT TO MAKE YOUR WILL OUT TO DR. NIN AND HIS STAFF

Poor experience with this place as well.
Been there 2 or 3 times over a span of about 3 years. I have no major dental issues.
The other reviewer is correct about the 3 room wait. The first time I was there I waited in an outside waiting room than again in a second exam room.
Eventually an assistant came in to take some shots of my teeth. He spoke very little English and grunted with disapproval as he examined them. He did manage to communicate through gestures that I needed to have the two back ones pulled. He couldn’t tell me why.
I was moved into a third room for more waiting and then a cil;eaning by yet a different person. The cleaning was thorough and efficient.
Lastly I was moved back to the exam room where Dr. Nin came in. He spoke fast and barely spent five minutes with me. He did not explain why my teeth needed to be pulled.
Considering that such an operation is no easy undertaking one would imagine it important to explain to an individual WHY they should have it done. Nin was in and out without doing this.
2 yrs and 2 more visits later no one has explained to me the purpose of this, but they never fail to chastise me when I come into the office for not having it done yet.
Well guess what, I’m never going to get it done until the purpose is thoroughly explained. Im slightly wary as well because some reviews on other sites have accused Nin of recommending unnescessary work to pad the bill.
Dont know if this is the case here but food for thought. One thing is certain– there was certainly a poor level of communication there. Not a plus for a doctor or anyone who’s profession is care of people.
Go see Cogan over on Bayshore. Much better.

I was a new patient to Dr. Nin as of today, but I will not return. A cleaning and checkup took over 2 hours, and yes, I had an appointment, and yes, I arrived on time. I found the staff to be uncommunicative and inefficient; there was a lot of moving around of laptops and entering data in my presence (this activity occupied about one of the two hours I was there) but very little explanation of what was being entered and why it was taking so long. I don’t think I’m a very complicated patient (for example, I have no dental hardware and no major medical problems: I’m just a chick with some regular teeth), and in the past, I’ve been in an out of dentists’ offices in under an hour for a cleaning and exam.
While I was there I was moved to three different rooms: one for examination, one for cleaning, and one for consultation, and I was left waiting in all three of them for a while. Curiously, all 3 rooms were about the same; they were all dental examination rooms with the chair and sink and whatnot, so I didn’t really get why I had to go to a different one for each activity. I would let this go if everything seemed efficient, but it seemed chaotic. The office overall is dingy and rundown. I would let THIS go if the practice seemed to run smoothly, but overall there seemed to be a feeling of general carelessness and disorganization to the place.
Additionally, I found that all my questions seemed to be passed to someone else: the cleaning tech gave me an estimate for a procedure the dentist recommended, but couldn’t tell me what the procedure was or why I needed it. The dentist explained the procedure but couldn’t explain why the estimate was broken down the way that it was. The front desk person was able to point to a figure on the estimate printout and tell me that was my projected cost. I would have asked further questions but I had been there for over 2 hours at that point, and, in the parlance of our modern era, Ain’t Nobody Got Time For That.
