Publix Super Markets

Little selection… not very fresh items. staff nice but not overly helpful, seems like an old location… go to the one on 17^th or Aventura. …this is like your local neighborhood grocery store, to grab a few quick things but not to do your weekly shopping.

Franch makes the best subs at the deli! 5 stars for all the subs we ordered. This Publix also has a great vegan section and always fresh produce. Always find more items than we’re looking for when we shop here! Very health friendly and offer healthy products

After plenty of chances to redeem themself, this Publix continues to disappoint!
First things first. If you plan on going to this Publix, buyer beware! They keep outdated «BOGO» price tags on items that are full price.
If you want anything from the deli, arrive right when they open or you’re out of luck, you’ll wait forever because they typically will have only one or two people working it and ten people waiting. Holidays and weekends, you’re fucked!!! Online ordering is an option, but IF they decide to make it, it will be delayed at least a half hour, order accordingly.
If you want anything from the fish department, they don’t have everything out until 11am, good luck trying to buy anything before that.
The pharmacy is a joke, totally negative and rude employees with lots of ghetto attitude!!! «Excuse me, do I know you?» a response from an employee at the drop-​off window when I greeted her by saying «Good Afternoon». She looked at my prescription and said, «Oh, we don’t have that, you’re gonna have to wait a couple of days». No, took it to Walgreens next door; they’re a little slow, but at least they try to be nice.
Any fruit «On Sale» must be consumed within 24hrs or it goes rotten. Whole Foods is much better for produce and at least their apples taste like apples.
At Miami Shores Publix, rarely are the employees that are meandering around the store able to help you with any questions… if in fact they speak English. Every man for himself.
The bakery seems to be the only department that is run with any sort of sense of urgency, perhaps it’s because of the demand for fatty cakes and sugary items favored by people who live in the neighborhoods around the store.
Finally, the check out… Horrible!!! Sloppy and unprofessional. If you neatly placed anything on the conveyor belt, they will just throw it the bag with no regard for your organization; squeezing bread by throwing cans and jars on top of it.
Frequently, they cannot process the gift
Cards that they sell. Computers break down a lot and they quote, «Can only accept ca$h right now.»
Overall, this store is a nightmare, but it’s blocks from my house and convenient when I have absolutely nothing else to do. They prepare the store as if it’s a country store in the middle of nowhere, when in reality, the whole world is coming in and they are understaffed and disinterested in making it better. The only time I’ve seen this store up to par, is when they have a «Corporate Visit». I have complained to corporate, yet no response from them. Maybe a «Yelp on the grill» will get their attention. Perhaps corporate should have secret shoppers to give them the real 411 on this Miami Shores Publix, «Where shopping is a nightmare!» Hate this place!!!

Publix teach your Bagging ladies to use the bags people bring :) I Love this store everyone is nice and helpful ! Except I bring my own bags for carrying its easier. no waist of plastic. But they always try not fill my bags up !!! I have to keep telling them put the things in the bag. So Publix if your clients bring there own bags that means they want there groceries in there bag !!! I forgot to add that I had put a lot of stuff in the bag and this bagger started taking out stuff saying its too heavy !

By far my favorite layout for all the Publix in Miami. Parking is a breeze and it’s usually not too crowded. Staff are friendly and the store itself is well maintained, clean, and organized. Love all the Publix brand items as well as the deli

Dropped off a prescription at the pharmacy last week. Said they did not have it and to check back in a week. Came back this week. The medicine is at a pharmacy on Miami Beach. Took back the script and going somewhere else. Not sure why the medicine could not be delivered to the original pharmacy. Service was better when Paul was here.

Very nice experience. The employees are very helpful. The store is easy to move around.

I went in today to do some last minute thanksgiving shopping of items that were very specific to certain recipes. To my pleasure, all associates there were so
Helpful, kind and very nice. I would like to mention a gentleman named Jamaal in particular who I believe is a manager or supervisor. He was so great at his job. He took time to me walk with me through the isles to find the items I was looking for, and as we were walking, his attention to detail was so spot on, that he was fixing unorganized items and picking up stuff from the floor so quickly he made it seem effortless and seamless. That is the kind of
employee that every company should be proud to have.
All the employees there are just amazing. Even the cashier greeted me with a «hello, how are you doing» and it just makes the whole shopping experience so much better.
Thank you so much to all the staff there. You guys are so great and I appreciate you.

I used the online deli order to save time because I was in a hurry. My order was not ready when I went to pick it up so I already didn’t have time to check my American cheese. When I got it home it was nasty. Like the slicer has never been cleaned before. So I just decided never to use the online option and just go into the store. I am quite new to Florida and was very shocked how slow the deli moves. No hustle what so ever in anyone’s step. I felt like I was bothering someone when placing my order. I took a picture of the cheese I received doing the online order.

Wow for the person who wrote the 1^st review, cold cuts are just cold cuts you should’ve left it with that scum bag. So I get a sweet tooth often, I went towards the bakery looking for something not too big not too small and I’m always amazed at the huge strawberries they put on cakes. Some woman quickly told me what you need? Like if I’m breathing on her food, Can I look or am I not allowed right? I rolled my eyes and walked away before I get mad and cause a scene. I had a older woman check me out at the register, I asked if they had vases for flowers, she walked me to them which I never expected it. I am surprised and touched that there are still employees like her. Also the boy who works in the pharmacy is sweet. I’ve had alot of helpful employees point me in the right direction.

This publix is okay at best. The parking is a pain and the manager I dealt with had 0 people skills. Case in point.
One day I decided to buy some avocados for part of my lunch. I needed a spoon to scoop out the goodness, so I went to the deli and grabbed one. As I went to pay for my stuff, the cashier told me I was not allowed to take the spoon because i didnt buy anything from the deli area. She also added that I could go buy a package full of them in aisle 6. I told her it was for my avocado and I needed it. Needless to say I asked for the manager.
She came over and gave me the same runaround.
What BS!!! This clearly put a dent into my «shopping is a pleasure» experience.
I would never ever have this problemo at Whole Foods. Wow I sound snoBBy lol!

i feel silly writing a review for publix, but hopefully someone in management will see this and do something about the service at the deli counter! i dread having to get sliced deli meat, i get the same feeling as having to go to the dmv. i endure it though so that i can have fresh sandwiches. i feel the same for almost every publix i’ve been to, but the one in miami shores is horrific.
today i’m first in line, and i recognize the guy who has so rudely helped me before. (usually i wait at least 20 mins for the someone to help me, not bc it’s busy, but bc every deli worker moves in slow motion) normally, i’d just tell the person behind me to go ahead of me, but this time, i thought i wouldn’t make a fuss. the last time he helped me, he forgot to let me try a piece before slicing a full pound. i don’t mind that at all, it’s not necessary that i try it beforehand, as i’ve gotten this particular brand before. so he realizes that he forgot to give me a slice, so he slices an additional piece for me to try after the fact. this has happened several times before with various deli workers. my thought is that they might not know the reason for trying a slice beforehand so that one can decide if they want to move forward with the order, instead, i think they see it as a free slice of food for anyone that orders. so i tell the guy no worries, he can just put that slice into the bag. he looks at me and says, «well, why can’t YOU put it in the bag?».
so back to the present, the same guy helps me today, and again, he forgets to give me a slice after he finishes slicing my full order, then proceeds to give me an additional «free» slice to which i said, «no, no, i don’t need to try it, just add it to the bag» to which he replies «you can add it to the bag. just like i can add it, you can add it». wow.
i’m really annoyed at the point, but i let it go. as i’m leaving, a woman approaches to take a number and says «oh no, these guys again? we’re going to have to wait hours…»
it amazes me that people with bad attitudes are working at a place where the motto goes something like «it’s our pleasure to service you». i really do hope that something is done about this.
