Have you ever had your toddler kicked out for wearing a diaper? Well, same here until yesterday! Doesn’t matter if they are a newborn or 2! Doesn’t matter if they are even wearing a dress! The diaper needs pants! I can go to Target and eat at restaurants with him like this, BUT not at this library?! I went to check out the rules on Miami-Dade Public Libraries website and it states that only shoes and shirts are required! Wtf! It does not state anything about diapers or pants! This place is not kid friendly if they have serious mental issues with a CHILD wearing a DIAPER! Seek another library! Update: Reason for pants is because of public health! As if poop from kids and urine have never seeped through pants before! As if accidents never happen with kids before! Go to hell and good luck with your theory that pants will protect the public health! Ha!

Check the hours before going — the library system is being underfunded and many libraries are being slated to be closed. Hours for regionals may be reduced down to three days a week and branches to two days a week. Check … to see if they can survived this…

A lot of city libraries are gothic, stately cathedrals to knowledge. I’m taking about big concrete buildings and plazas, multiple floors, etc. The Miami Springs library is not. It’s essentially a box, a modern 1-story building with clean lines, well kept, with a strong Wi-Fi connection, and a decent selection of books. I believe they also rent or check out laptops. I stopped by earlier to advance a little on some work stuff. Besides the aforementioned WiFi(which also let me connect to check Unilocal out, shh don’t tell anyone), the large picture windows let in plenty of natural light to help me in my work. What makes this location worthy to write about is the little park right in front of the library. Nothing fancy, no playground equipment, just greenery, a bug shade tree and a couple of benches. The WiFi signal reaches outside. It’s a uniquely in Miami element where you can study — or read — outside enjoying nature and the summer breeze.
