I had to have my car towed to the shop because it would not start. I don’t know much about cars so I assumed I was going to get ripped off. I ended up having a blown fuse. They changed the fuse and didn’t charge me for anything. Honest work.

This is the third time I use Abana Car Repair shop and I am very happy with their service, the first time they even offered a courtesy ride to my work while my car was being repaired, this time around I was under the impression my brakes were not working well since I could hear a noise while breaking so I left them my car and they called me a few hours later and surprised me by saying the breaks were fine and that after the check up they could find nothing wrong. I trust them, I like their professionality and appreciate their way to do business. Thank you Abana

Only regret about Abana is finding them as I am moving out of Miami. They answer the phone, called back when they said they would call back, gave me a fair quote that was better than most and were all around friendly and professional. Highly recommend!

After looking for a mechanic and asking people’s advice, I found Abana’s shop with lots of people giving me good reviews. Moving to Miami, I was worried about finding a trust-​worthy mechanic that knows what he is doing. The mechanics at Abana Auto Parts were very nice, knew what they were doing and at a fair price. Finding a good mechanic is not easy, but was happy I found this place.

It only took me 4 years to find a mechanic I like and trust here in Miami. And — these guys are great. I have an OLD car… I don’t want to invest a lot at this point… but I’d love for it to carry on for another year or so. (So many mechanics don’t realize that I’m not going to invest $ 1000 to fix an old car… it’s not worth it.) They took care of the basic problems and didn’t feel the need to complicate things. I’m sure there were more things that could have been taken care of… but Michael understood the goal: keep this car running for a little bit more without a lot of money outlay. Great service! (One of the guys even came out with me as I was leaving to help me get the kids’ carseats back into the car and direct traffic as I pulled out their driveway. That was above and beyond… and totally unnecessary but appreciated.) Highly recommend Abana!

This place was great. I don’t know anything about cars, but they got me in and out — and I actually feel like they didn’t rip me off! I have a 2008 Audi A4 convertible, and I feel confident coming back here again.

I’ve been mostly satisfied with this business. Even though I look like a kid, I did not get the impression that they were trying to rip me off and they didn’t treat me like I didn’t know anything.
They seem to be understanding of people that want to do work on cars themselves and they do not try to upsell you.
I remember having walked in with a flywheel and asked them to resurface it for me. The cost was $ 40. The standard around the country, and a good price. I also had a bolt that been broken inside one of the holes and they offered to take it out for $ 10. The headache of buying an extractor and drilling it out myself was not worth it. They told me it was going to be ready next week because the machinist was out, but I got a call about an hour later that the flywheel was ready to be picked up. I was really happy that I didn’t have to wait. Oh yeah, no taxes or hidden fees. A flat $ 50.
Another time I needed to have a spot on an oil pan welded. Because it was aluminum, I couldn’t do it myself and so a special welder was needed. I should have asked how much it would be but I didn’t. Turns out they went over and beyond what I needed. Cleaned the oil pan, welded it, sprayed some paint to protect it from rust, and it looked like brand new. But it was just an oil pan that I didn’t need to be all fancy. I guess they needed to make money somehow because welding a tiny hole would have not made any money and they didn’t want to completely rip me off either. So they charged me $ 80 which was a bit high for me but I am sure would have been a decent price for anyone that doesnt mind spending that much. In the end, I got my oil pan done the same day, I didn’t have to buy a welder or pay for welder labor, and my oil pan has not leaked ~3 years later so in the grand scheme of things, it paid off.
They are very old school cubans. No-​nonsense. Remind me of my family. You will not get ghetto cuban marielito slang talk from them. Don’t be worried about emailing them and not getting a reply because they are a mechanic shop with old mechanics. You will get a reply with an estimate the same day or the next. Just provide the appropriate information.

These guys are awesome. Old school mechanics that really know what the hell they’re doing. Reminds me of the mechanic my grandfather used to take his car to. They are honest, knowledgable and have fair pricing. They will never try to sell you anything you don’t need. In fact, they refuse to. I have been wanting to rebuild the engine on my Bronco (easily a $ 1,500+ job) and the owner tells me that my engine is fine and that it’s a waste of money and that he won’t do it. He sounds like my grandfather did. Always giving me advice that I «had» to listen to because it was for my own good… even if I didn’t want to.
These guys are great. Don’t hesitate in taking your ride to them.

In need of a auto repair shop and I try this Establishment. ( Unilocal good reviews) Call them first to see if they are able to repair our Subaru Forester in need of wheel bearing replacement. Mr Novoa took care of the call and said yes and in need to see veh to diagnose the problem. Been a retire auto mechanic in need to have someone do the repair is frustrating. (out of town)
Took veh and the problem was found to be Pass side rear wheel bearing bad. Novoa give me and estimate on the repair in that moment but do to the need to use the veh.(the only transportation) we agry for me to get the parts at the dealer and the shop will install them.
Even that the shop did not do the repair I will thanks Mr Novoa for all the help he provide to me on the moment that we meet him. Outstanding Service.

Found these guys through Unilocal and decided to give them a try, I needed an oil change desperately and I called in advanced and was told it would be $ 26 — sounded like a good deal to me. I am more amazed that I was in and out in 20 minutes! The staff were nice, and there were a few chairs I could sit on while waiting, the place isn’t fancy but then why would you expect that from a mechanics? MY only downer is I need to swing back by as they did not turn off the oil change indicator on my dash board, but that is only a minor issue. I will definitely return.

I badly needed some new tires for my truck. Saw the reviews on here and called them up for a price. The first thing I like about them is that they give you the «out the door» price. Everything is included, not adding in extra fees for this and that. Second, I got a very comparable price to what I was finding online. Not many local places can come close to matching online prices, and online doesn’t include shipping and installation. Third, after the tires came in, I was at the shop for a total of 45 mins. That’s all it took for them to replace all 4 tires. That’s the fastest I’ve been at a tire place! 5 stars for these guys. I would definitely recommend.

Most of the time I leave mechanics feeling ripped off. That’s why Abana stands out the most. I felt like I was dealt with honestly!
I am very happy with their work, prices, & services. I called the day before & because of my husband’s work schedule, they let us drop off the car at 6am! The car was ready the very next morning. I would definitely return if I needed any other work done.

The AC in my car shut down a couple of weeks ago, which right before summer in Miami renders the car useless. I went to a shop that only works on air conditioners and they quoted the repair at $ 650. I kept looking. I found these guys on Unilocal and went to them on a Friday morning. They fixed the problem for an astronomically lower price. The guys were polite and honest. I was in and out in under an hour. I’m bilingual so luckily there is no language barrier for me but there is a sweet guy named Michael with a beard who speaks English and is very straightforward. For a woman, an honest mechanic shop is priceless so I’m very glad to have found these guys!

I grew up at a shop similar to this and I reminisced a little when I was there… haha. Either way, I dropped by for an oil change and they apparently always keep a bay open for doing oil changes.
Pricing was affordable and they had great service. I also noticed they had a machine shop in the back and people were constantly bringing in engines or other assemblies to get worked on — I’m guessing they primarily make their money from the machine shop.
I only speak English and bad English and had no troubles communicating with the crew there; they knew enough English to get things done and a few were fluent, so no worries there!
Count on me coming back for my next oil change and possibly any other work that needs to be done.

Amazing mechanic shop! Found this thru Unilocal and could not be happier. The service was outstanding and incredibly affordable, an anomaly in Miami as far as mechanic shops go. Every mechanic I’ve found through Unilocal has always been a winner.
Abana is no different. The characteristic I value the most out of a repair shop is honesty, and I feel like I got that here. No nervous feelings of getting a weird price, or an estimate that includes things I don’t need. Nope. The guys at Abana all seem like straight-​shooters.
I’ve taken both my Honda and Audi here for any issues, or regular maintenance and I’ve been in and out quickly. Very pleased to have these guys around.
BIG plus (at least for me): they totally embrace social media. They post their specials on Twitter and regularly respond to questions that are tweeted at them. Nice!

Just started going here and I can’t believe I didn’t start coming sooner. I needed an oil change and as they were replacing the oil they notice a leak and told me they would take care of it and told me not to worry. This place is quick, efficient, and affordable (very affordable). The people here are really great too, not creepy like most other car places. An honest great place for all your car needs. They truly love what they do and never try to get more out of you than what’s truly necessary for your car. Check them out for your next oil change!

ALL ABOUT IT from the moment i parked my car at the site of their building. i think one of the guys that works there drives a Truck with a Godzilla paint job — YES! No, but really, good mechanics who know their stuff and don’t treat you like you know absolutely nothing about cars. They Cater both to English speakers and Spanish speakers. Spent about an hour or so there on a Saturday, i was in and then i was out. the perfect humble shop with humble mechanics.
