Allegro Music Center

As a guitarist and teacher with over a decade of teaching experience I’ve worked with many stores for my students’ instruments and equipment.
Without a doubt this store is the best in the entire Miami area. I live all the way south and willing to drive to allegro music center because they have great service, when they promise to call you back they actually DO call back, very friendly staff as well. It is true that not all brands are at the store, but when it comes to nylon string guitars (since that’s what I mainly looking for) they have a great value for a good price. One time one of my students had a small issue and immediately they switched out the guitar, apologized and made sure the new instrument was meeting the great standards they have. I would recommend this store to anyone that is looking for a guitar for taking up lessons and want to start getting serious with music.

Allegro music center is FANTASTIC! They have a huge array of branded instruments, amplifiers, and basic provisions for any instrument. I wanted a vintage looking microphone and stand which the friendly owner special ordered for me and it arrived within one week of my request. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. This will be my go to music store moving forward!

Do NOT take your instrument here. Although the staff is very friendly and helpful, the «luthier» here knows very, very little about fine instrument repair and/​or maintenance.
They already ruined the finish on my newly bought cello when one of their employees put some substance on the bridge and didn’t let it dry long enough. Manuel, the owner, will constantly talk down brands that he does not sell in order to sell his own. I tried to be as supportive of this violin shop since it is the only decent one in Miami, but it really is not worth it to go here.

The place I go to when I need to find my music! They have a nice selection of books and I they don’t have it, you can order it through them.

After a few hours of driving around Southwest Miami trying to get my french horn appraised, a friend of mine said that he used to take piano lessons at Allegro Music Center and that I should see if they could do an appraisal for me. The staff were very helpful, were able to locate a tiny make/​model number on the horn that I had previously been unable to find, and did some internet research to tell me what the value of the instrument is. Mind you, this was all free of charge. Though they were unable to buy the horn from me at the time, they were the first place I visited that was able to thoroughly inspect the horn and help me set a price for it, since I am interested in selling it soon. Though I have no other experience with this business, it has been around for years and I am happy to give it its first Unilocal review.
