I contacted American Home Shield because I had a leak in my bathroom. A contractor went to my apartment and he said that he needed to remove all tiles from the shower to see what was behind and that was not covered. I asked for a second opinion because I did not want to remove the tiles without even being sure that was the problem. It turned out that was not. At the end, their contractor misdiagnosed the problem and they sent me a $ 125 bill just for showing up. Is that fair?

Don’t understand or agree with the negative reviews about American Home Shield I have had a contract with them for approximately 5 years and have always had a positive experience. Quick, reliable service usually within a day. I haven’t had the need to use them recently, I hope things have not changed regarding their service and providers

Worst Home Warranty Company!!! Don’t waste your money! Every time I call them out for a repair they say that they don’t cover that repair under the contract! They only cover minimal repairs…
Won’t be renewing my contract with them!!! And to add to the situation, when you call them to get service your on hold for 15 – 30 minutes!!! I wish I could give them zero stars but the app won’t allow zero stars, they aren’t worthy of one star, they truly are horrible!!!

American Home Shield is a home warranty company. We transferred the warranty over when we purchased the condo. Their policy for responding to emergency calls is 48hrs. So, we have to wait 2 days while our condo floods.
