Good drinks, good music, social atmosphere. Service could be slow at times but that is expected for a place that’s so busy. I’ll definitely be back!

This is a great brickell bar! Their ladies night is awesome(tuesdays) and open late every night. the staff is great and the music is usually pretty good. Super friendly security bartenders cocktail waitresses and management. Nichol Mandy Danny and Lehrer are some of the coolest!

Absolutely love Blackbird. Really chill place, with laid back vibes. I’m relatively new to south Florida, and the novelty of the SOBE club scene has worn off. I’m now shifting back into lounges and more kick back spots. I love the music, and the drinks always pack a punch. They’re open hella late, and I don’t think there’s ever a cover. Parking downtown can be a bitch, but I’ve yet to have an issue finding a spot. Great place to either start or end your night. Major key

This is one of the more underrated bars in the Brickell area. I feel like business has taken a hit since American Social Brickell opened, but Blackbird can still hang with the best. I hadn’t frequented Blackbird in a while, and recently found myself going two weeks in a row for Happy Hour on Friday. From 4 – 8, Blackbird offers 2-for-1 drinks up to $ 14. Instead of getting two drinks at the same time, the bar tender will hand you a poker chip for your next drink. Blackbird has definitely got the hipster vibe going on. One thing I’ve always noticed when I leave Blackbird is that the place is dark. By dark, I mean there are hardly any lights on in the joint. I often leave the place squinting as my eyes return to normal light. Let’s get to the drinks! I am an old-fashioned snob. I don’t usually order an old-fashioned unless I believe that there is a competent bartender that can do more than just pour liquor and splash it with soda from a gun. Blackbird bartenders definitely know how to make a mean old-fashioned. They also offer a menu of a different hand-crafted cocktails, a variety of on-tap beers, and an adequate wine selection. The patio outside sports picnic tables and an additional bar. The coolest thing about the outside patio is the garden«edible» wall where Blackbird boasts fresh mint and other plants that eaten right off the wall. If you’re with out-of-towners, or looking for a cool place to grab drinks with co-workers for happy hour, I would recommend Blackbird.

Customer service here is off the chain. Yeah it’s a fun bar and whatnot but what really did it for me is how cool the people who work here are. Sometimes they sell chorizo sandwiches and last night I just happened to not have any cash on me. Usually they take electronic payment but that night the machine was broken. Dude still served me my food and told me not to worry about it. It’s shit like that that makes me remember and wanna return to an establishment. It’s shit like that that keeps me a regular at places like blackbird.

For whatever reason, Blackbird is never top of mind for me when thinking of a Brickell happy hour spot… No longer! While at night it can get a bit cray cray, I’ve recently been back on the earlier side and had pleasant experiences. Happy hour goes until 8pm and features 2-for-1 drinks. After ordering your first drink, you’re given a chip to redeem for the second. One of the best things about Blackbird is they have a really large cocktail list and their drinks are strong and tasty. I really enjoy the Blackbird, Woodpecker and Birds of Paradise(sense a trend?). Take a look at the special on the blackboard, too! On Friday, they let us know girls drink free well drinks from 6 – 7 pm. I was honestly surprised it doesn’t get way more crowded because of that alone. The inside is a little too dark for happy hour vibes, but there’s a large patio out back with picnic tables to hang out. There’s also a bar out there if the inside gets too crowded. Last Friday, they had a live band playing around 7. To be honest, it got a little loud and made it really hard to carry on a conversation, but maybe I’m just getting old… Glad to have ventured once again to Blackbird and will definitely be back for happy hour and beyond.

Blackbird is usually the last place I end up on any given Brickell weekend escapade.(Don’t stalk me) The music is great and the drinks are fairly priced. If you like to stand around in a long ass line that bends around the block, then show up after 12 am. You will find it suitable to your preference. If not, show up before then and avoid the chaos. If you’re fancy and prefer your drinks in a glass, order at the bar inside. If you’re at a point in your night where you don’t give 2 sh*ts, the bar outside works too but the drinks come in plastic and the wait is a little longer on occasion. Key points: It’s a shit show after 2am. Fair warning: It’s kind of dark inside so it is not uncommon if you walk out with the wrong person /new set of friends /bouncer. It has happened to me before. Their specialty drinks/cocktails are well made.(Old fashioned is on point) The outdoor space is lively, but it can get crowded and you could be a victim to pickpocketing if you’re not careful.

Really cool bar with good beer prices and an awesome outdoor patio in the back. The night that we went it was pretty relaxed around 11 but was extremely crowded by 1am. The music here was GREAT when we went and noticeably better than other bars around. The patio is also really cool with the palm trees projected on the wall. Definitely check this place out, it’s pretty cool and I hear that Friday is the best night there. Get in before 12 if you don’t want to wait in line.

My goodness, Blackbird is probably my new favorite«Saturday night» joint. When I look for a place to take my friends, atmosphere is always a deciding factor. Blackbird knocked this out of the ballpark. The outside area with string lights hanging above make the perfect ambiance for a lax evening. There was also an «Edible Wall» full of plants, not too sure what that is for but it definitely add a hipster feel to the place. Blackbird has plenty of signature drinks for everyone’s taste. Their most popular drink«Blackbird» was amazing.(Go figure right?) The lemonade, sweet tea vodka, blackberry pureé, and mint were so refreshing. The Chileando was also a very interesting drink. It wasn’t as sweet as the Blackbird, but it has a nice sour tangy taste. The bartenders were also very precise in making their drinks. They measured everything delicately and garnished their drinks beautifully. Bouncers were also very friendly. Definitely will be back for another Saturday night outing!

Went to Blackbird Ordinary on Friday late night. My group was there just to drink and dance, I do not believe they even have food, but if so I would likely not pick this place to eat. Quality No food, so all I can speak to is the drinks. While there I did not order any specialty drinks, everything though seemed pretty standard. Quantity The drinks I did order were of good size and had a very generous amount of alcohol in them. Value The drinks were expensive, but it is to be expected for late Friday night in Brickell. Even though it is not the Beach it definitely still thinks it is. Ambiance Blackbird Ordinary is located right outside the heart of Brickell. It may classify itself as a bar, but it is basically the dance club for white people in the Brickell area. It has a large inside bar area with a DJ in the front corner and then a pretty sizable outdoor patio area, which has a secondary bar and a small stage area. It plays all sorts of music and usually in strange successions. While there it went from 80s to 90s to hip-hop to latin to movie songs and back around in just a matter of minutes. It is all crowd pleasing and it definitely does a pretty good job at it. Crowd It is a Brickell bar/club that knows its target audience. The bar is filled with lots of younger white kids that live nearby and don’t want to travel to the clubs on the beach. On Friday night it was absolutely packed. However, even as busy as it was with a line outside, they did not charge a cover which is a huge plus. This particular Friday it was not worth even trying to get outside though because you could not even move. Service Too many people and way too few bartenders. It takes a long time to get a drink both because how packed around the bar things get and the lack of actual people worker there. It definitely makes sense to stock up when you get to the front of the line. Parking There is definitely sporadic street parking throughout the Brickell area, but late on a Friday night it can be hard to come by. You can usually count on a lot in the area, but they can be expensive. Extra Blackbird Ordinary serves as the alternative to going dance clubs on the Beach. Don’t be fooled by the wait outside the line moves fast and there no cover. They will however pack you in until you do not fit. There is no real alternative so it stands out in Brickell and it definitely can be a fun spot if you can get past the lack of cohesion in music.

Great atmosphere ! Drinks are pricey as the would be in Brickell, especially their specialty drinks. I have the«me, myself And I» which is tequila, ancho Reyes, lime and plum bitters… Not a fan. I like some smoky drinks but I could barely finish half of this one and it was $ 13! Their signature drink is the Blackbird($ 10)with is sweet tea vodka, raspberries and syrup. It’s a very light drink but tasty. The kind that you drink at a picnic lol not on a night of dancing. I favorite of the night was the Moscow mule($ 11). So my favorite part of this place weren’t the drinks but I really loved the outdoor space! They have a sort of backyard patio that is very cute and a decently sized in door space. They décor is to theme. So there are little nuances of black birds every where without being too creepy lol

Place gets super packed, luckily there’s an outdoor place that I’m obsessed with. I didn’t really care for the music that was playing that night(Friday), but I’ve been there before and it’s been better. The drinks I had were amazing. I had the blackbird which was made with sweet tea vodka, it was sweet and easy to drink but it still hit you. Also had a Moscow mule, which is my favorite drink and I’m kinda picky about, but this one was amazing!

I have been here many many times through the years and every time I go back I find my self asking why. It has this strange appeal of nostalgia. Even though this bar could not be more mediocre. The place is far to over crowded. The bar is near impossible to get to. And when you do finally get a drink. It’s 95% alchohol. But I guess that’s what you get when a place caters to mostly college kids looking to get drunk. But hey can’t complain too much about strong drinks, better than watered down. The Music selection is a great mixture of new and old. Which would be amazing if they actually ever let a song play for more than 30 seconds. The outside patio is a change of pace. With a little more breathing room. But same problem with the music and bar. Anyway with all that somehow something always draws me back. I can’t explain it but something about this place is good. Guess you have to check it out for yourself.

This place is a great spot on Tuesdays for ladies night. My favorite drink is their signature, the blackbird. Very sweet & can’t even taste the alcohol, just how I like it. The last time I went was during winter break & it was hella packed & the line to enter wrapped around the building, getting a drink took forever so I suggest picking a bartender & tipping her generously so that the next couple of times she assists you faster. Only four stars bc I’ve realized the last couple of times I’ve gone the music seems to be repetitive.

Awesome place!!! Thank you Joy M. for recommending it :) I’m very impressed with this bar. It’s huge. A few months has passed since I visited Miami, but this place holds great memories. I love the wall of board games and the drinks are really strong. Great crowd — not really a place for dancing even though there is a dance floor. It just gets too hot lol. Definitely a place you should visit while in Miami!

My best friend and husband took me out for Ladies night last Tuesday and I had a great time! I’m usually not into bars because I hate having to wave down bartenders, but I was left with no choice tonight! Ladies drink free till 1:30AM(signature black bird drink, rum, whiskey, and vodka) I got there rather early around 10:30 and there was still space to walk around. I was able to really enjoy the venue and take in the nice details. They have an edible wall which is full of different plants and herbs. Also, there was a table with food set up outside for the munchies. It all smelled delicious, but I didn’t get any. Music was popping, KC Chopz was djing that night and the music was perfect for ladies night. Lots of hits, and throwbacks. The staff was a little rude and uptight. Some guy with a flashlight got a snappy with my husband so to avoid issues we ended up leaving a little earlier than I would have liked to. I would definitely return to Blackbird it was a nice experience.

Blackbird is one of those places you find yourself going to far too often. You either make it the end of your night, or something else doesn’t quite go as planned, so you end up here. Then when you haven’t been in awhile, you find yourself missing it. And maybe even craving it. Whether it’s the DJ’s mix of oldies plus newbies, classic and R&B, even a lil reggae and alternative thrown into the mix. Whether it’s the refreshingness of «The Blackbird.» Whether it’s their edible wall. Whether it’s shoulder touching strangers to find a small space for you and your friends to dance the night away. Whether it’s yelling out lyrics to each song that you know. Whether it’s busting a move with someone you just met. Whether it’s one of those you-and-your-girls’ nights, and you don’t want anyone to bother you. Whether you aren’t in the mood to go all glamorous, and just want to be chill and dance or drink cause you need it. Whether it’s being there til 5a.m. when the lights turn on. Whether you come so often, the bouncer starts to recognize you. Whether it’s coming here with no matter who or when, and always having a good time. That is Blackbird.

This place is a must when in downtown Miami! Came here with the cousin for some drinks and good time and that’s exactly what we got! I really didn’t expect to have a great time but the music was on point and the vide was great. Also tried a couple of drinks none of which disappointed ! Can’t wait to be back! The bar was pretty quick when I went! Was Saturday night around 10 pm and the place was packed but you had enough room to dance around.
