Dr. Dougherty is amazing. He is so kind and patient. He listens to your questions and addresses all of your concerns. He works out of a variety of offices so he serves a broad area. I’ve seen him in Kendall, West Kendall, Doral, and Coral Gables. I think he even has an office in Hialeah. He speaks fluent Spanish. He has been my doctor for 7 years and I have never heard and ill word spoken against him. I’ve had thyroid cancer and been in and out of the hospital quite a bit and all who know him have told me he’s the best. I feel very lucky to have stumbled upon such a good doctor.
As far as the office staff goes, they’re not bad. He’s part of a big network of doctors and they have to be very organized to keep all the patients filled with the right doctors and appointments. They do a good job of it.

I developed some serious sinus issues about a decade ago and let them get bad enough (partly due to lack of healthcare, and partly due to primary physicians lacking good advice, and partly due to my own apathy) that I eventually lost my sense of smell. I sounded perpetually congested, hardly enjoyed food any more, and became a full-​on mouth breather.
Dr. Dougherty changed my life. He is affiliated with Baptist hospital and South Florida ENT Associates. He told me that I had polyps and a deviated septum, then provided me excellent care leading up to surgery.
I was understandably really intimidated by the surgery and nearly backed out of it, but the good Dr. was there for me and helped me through not only the medical aspect, but also the personal. He’s just a very warm, understanding guy. He also performs multiple sinus surgeries weekly, so he has the skill, practice, and expertise to do it right.
And he did. You won’t find better.
