I’m English but have lived in Dublin for 13 years… I have NEVER been to an Irish pub like this… it was appalling, the music so loud you could not talk and surrounded by dozens of tv screens, each showing different programmes…(and tartan skirts are Scottish, NOT Irish) AVOIDATALLCOSTSIFYOU’RELOOKINGFORANIRISHBAR…

For someone who doesn’t usually like Irish Pubs, I have to say this one is my favorite. Probably b/c of the music. They play a vast variety of old school, rock, latin(salsa and merengue), you name it! The live band that was playing while I was there was on fire! They got the whole crowd moving, dancing, and boy can that singer belt out a variety of tunes. Great place to be if you’re here to dance and chill with friends. On another note, if you do want to sit and chat with people, best to go outside. Really hard to have a conversation with the music blasting. Definitely will be coming back to this place! Better than Fado and Waxy’s even if it’s not as spacious.

Eh, there are other places for happy hour. Total sausage fest too. The mini-burger was good, the«fish tacos» were tiny. They should have been called minis. Seriously they were so small. The service was fine. Overall just average.

I’ve been hesitant to write this review since I’m not necessarily a fan of the faux irish pub invasion of Miami. In addition if you are not careful you can certainly rack up a monstrous tab here since some drinks are $ 15 each and there is an auto gratuity and service charge you need to be mindful of. However, due to recent events I must give BIP it’s props. Last year the wife and I came here to watch Game 6 of the NBA finals and had a great time watching the place explode for the Heat championship. Not one to mess with the sports gods, my wife and I came here again for the pivotal Game 7 of this year’s NBA finals. Well I can say that good luck worked and we all know the result. So, as long as this place keeps providing positive Juju to our CHAMPION Miami Heat I am more than happy getting raped by the $ 15 drinks. It’s a fun place too and a great place to catch a big game. Just watch that tab…

It saddens me to say it, but Brickell Irish Pub really doesn’t feel Irish… or Pub-like. Thankfully, it is located in Brickell, otherwise it’s name would be completely superfluous. It might be safer for them to rename it Brickell Bar and move on with life. Just because some women wear tartan skirts doesn’t make it Irish. It’s always loud and usually pretty crowded, making me wonder why I visit at all. It now seems like they have live bands perform on their stage. wait a pub with a stage? Hmmph. Seems out of place to be honest, almost an afterthought. Last time I went, the bar was out of stock of my favorite scotch; mind you it was overpriced by several dollars from what I can get just up the street at another Irish-themed Pub. An overhaul is needed stat! Bottom Line: If the drinks are on special, I might come back, but no reason to go out of my way.

I went for a quick bite during a business meeting I had in the Brickell area. It was within walking distance so we figured, why not? Ugh, I’ll tell you why not… Even in the middle of the day it was ungodly dark(I don’t know how they managed on a sunny Miami day) and the food was horrible. Let’s start off with a simple statement of fact: I love Fish N Chips. So of course going to an Irish Pub, that’s what I ordered. I have eaten Fish N Chips at no less than 50 – 75 places in my life(but who is keeping count?), and this is the FIRST time I couldn’t even finish them. I tried and tried and tried. It was just sloppy fish that was greasy and oily. I wish there was zero stars because this might have been the worst overall dish I’ve ever eaten in my whole life. Yikes. I would definitely avoid, or just buy a can of Alpo Dog Food, but that certainly would be a better, more tasty alternative than Brickell Irish Pub.

Normally I am not a fan of places like this and perhaps it was because the weather was warm, I was in Miami and on a bachelorette weekend but this place was so much fun! This is not what I would define as Irish pub as(I live in NYC and have been all over Ireland and also grew up in an extremely Irish town in NY. so I know my Irish pubs). We arrived around 1am and this place was totally packed — and it is pretty enormous, so you can only imagine how many people were in here. There was a live band playing and between sets they would play fun music that everyone would dance to. I found the band to be a lot of fun and they were reggae style cover band. Drinks were reasonably priced and quite strong, so plus there! Crowd was actually pretty diverse in age and even just people in general, which was interesting to see. We were there until close to 4am and the place was still pretty full.

This place is so close to five stars… if the beer menu were just a little better I’d give it that fifth one. Listen, this isn’t really like an Irish pub you’d find in NY or Boston, but, you know, whatever. What this place does have is some super friendly staff who go the extra mile to make you happy. I dragged my sorry ass in on Saturday night looking to find the Maple Leafs-Rangers game. I’d called a couple of sports bars but they weren’t showing it. I called here and they double checked and said they could show it. I showed up and with the help of several people, we were able to find the game and they put it on three TVs for me. So that was nice act number one. And they seemed to genuinely want to help me, they didn’t act like I was being a pain the butt, which I probably was. So I grab a seat and order a beer from my waitress, who was super sweet. She comes back with two beers and says«you just made it for the end of happy hour. drinks are two for one.» I wasn’t expecting it and I had no idea but it was nice of her to give me the extra beer! That’s nice act number two. I ordered a pepperoni flatbread(it was okay) and sat back to wait for that and then some guy comes and puts some fries on my table and says«happy hour special, these are complimentary». I’m thinking«Where am I? Niceland?» So that was nice act number three. So to sum up, I got to watch my game(stupid Leafs lost, d’oh!), had a decent meal, a couple of beers and friendly service. What’s not to love? This is a great place to watch sports and hang out. If I was local, I think my friends and I would come here a lot.

I love Brickell Irish pub. This has been maybe the 6th time that i have been here, and i just learned there is a second floor area for small parties. The party was for about 20 during Okterbest and what a fun night! The band was super fun and always kept the crowd moving. I arrived around 8:30 and went home around 2:30! This one of my favorite bars/spots to chill for live music and cool crowds.

I arrived to celebrate a birthday, see some familiar faces, meet a few new ones, share a couple of dishes and wash it all down by tossing back a few cold ones. Our evening began with the pub somewhat quiet, perfect to be greeted by our friendly waitress. She offered to do separate checks; nice considering we were a group of about 20. We shared a grilled chicken sandwich, margherita flatbread and guinness bbq chicken flatbread. All tasted fresh and cooked right but the guinness bbq chicken flatbread was the clear winner. As the evening moved forward the pub began to fill, the band began to set up and we began to drink. I stuck with beers while my girl decided to make a night of whiskey sours. Our waitress(overly flirtatious at this point but more along the lines of selling us on more drinks) asked if we wanted a «call» brand of whiskey. I emphasized to use a «well» brand; no need to pay a whole lot more when my girl wouldn’t know the difference if a drink was 5 bucks or 15 bucks. Getting late into the night now, the live band is «LOUD» but really good and we are roughly 3 drinks in. Another couple asked the waitress what my girl was drinking and she told them whiskey sour made with a finer name brand whiskey. I asked the waitress if she was just selling them that so they’d spend more or did she actually serve us a «call» brand. She tells me I requested that specific whiskey. TOTALLIE. I’m unfamiliar with whiskies, don’t know them and won’t pretend that I do. She said she’d talk to the manager to make sure we only pay«well» drink prices. Finished drinking and ready to hit the road, get my bill and WHAO… She charged 14 bucks for each of our 4 whiskey sours. I inquire why so high for«well» brand drinks or did she charge us for«call» brands after all. She assures me we were billed for the cheap stuff but the price difference is very small. More B.S. The night was fun so rather than make a big deal I just handed over my credit card. I add a 20 percent tip to my 90 dollar bill. A minute later I realize the bill seems a bit high. And there it is… The damn AUTO-TIP ! ! ! I understand it’s common place for parts of Miami and other touristy cities to utilize auto-tip; since many foreigners do not tip well(sometimes not at all) so auto-tip makes up for the lack of monetary appreciation. With that being said, I think there is a more respectful way of doing it, like VERBALLYTELLINGME it’s already on the bill or do like Houston’s Restaurant(big red stamp on bill whenever they auto-tip). Don’t let me tip on top of your auto-tip; you already got your share so no reason to F#ck me over. I approach the waitress away from our large group(as not to make a scene or embarrass anyone) and tell her I need to redo the bill because I was unaware she included a tip. Her flirtatious personality instantly changed to innocent and unaware saying«yes, you tip to pay for services of busboy kitchen dishwasher everyone». I get fed up and tell her to get a manager. Now the waitress goes into defense mode(and not too nice) and says she can give me back cash for the amount I want back because to hard to reverse the charge. I agree and she hands me a 5 dollar bill. «Hello ! ! ! «I wanted my 18 bucks and she pitched the«you want it all back» attitude. I would have left her with some but not after all the hoops I had to jump through. Sad to end up with a 2 star review, considering we had a wonderful time throughout our visit and would have returned but those games don’t sit well with me, so this is where Brickell Irish Pub and I part ways.

Great place for a big group! We came here with a party of 7, and the venue is very spacious. There were TVs on with sport channels on. We ordered some appetizers to snack and drinks to cool down from the hot, humid weather. They have a good selection of beer. The location is great b/c after snacking and drinking here, we walked a little down to go dancing at blue martini.

This place is seriously confused. An Irish bar that has an Irish band and a pop club DJ? A dance floor? I just didn’t get it. We stopped here after a night of bar hopping — the place was overly crowded, it took forever to get drinks which frankly weren’t that good, and then they had an awesome upstairs area that was closed. Kind of a bummer. The whole bar seemed out of place in Miami — maybe if I was in the area, I’d come here for St. Patty’s Day but if you’re in the area on vacation, there are a TON of other places that I would recommend before coming here.

I went for a fundraiser and found the place to be alright. When going for the fundraiser, we received free drink coupons. I got a vodka tonic which was weak as anything. It may as well have been all tonic(maybe it was?). While perusing the menu I decided I wanted to order something. I tried everything to get this girl’s attention. yell, wave, smile, flap my arms, repeatedly say«someone heeellpppp meeeeeeee»(yes, I really did this). I swear, it must have taken 20 minutes before the bartender acknowledged that I needed something and I’m almost positive someone had to come to her to tell her that there was someone repeatedly trying to flag her down(I say this bc I saw a guy go up to her and point in my direction before she came to me). I ended up ordering the mini corn dogs, Guinness BBQ pork slider, and truffle mac and cheese. The mini corn dogs and Guinness slider were good! They both had a lot of flavor and I was amazed at how ungreasy they were. The only thing was that the Guinness slider didn’t take like Guinness at all(womp womp). The truffle mac and cheese was pretty good at the top of it but as I got toward the bottom of the dish it seemed as if the truffle and cheese flavors started to disappear. That dish also seemed to lack(of all things) salt! The prices were okay… not a great deal or anything and on top of their not-so-great prices they add an automatic 15% gratuity and 3% service charge. I was incredulous at these fees because I always thought gratuity is something that had to be earned. that’s why it’s called ‘gratuity’ because you’re showing ‘gratitude’ for good service. Maybe that’s why I had such bad service because the gratuity is automatically added so the wait staff is guaranteed their tip no matter what they do. And I still have no clue what is up with that extra 3% service charge. Service for what? Okay so I’ll break it down. because sometimes I feel like people go on Unilocal and don’t like to read much. All they do is look at stars and see wordswordswordswords and pick up key words like, «bad», «lacked», «monkey» all out of context. So here we go: SERVICE: Boo! FOOD: Non-greasy, tasty, bar food! Yay!(Except for the truffle mac and cheese) COST: Bleeh(mix of boo+meh) — not TOO expensive, not really cheap either. Mandatory 18% charge to your tab(15% gratuity + 3% service charge) PARKING: Not much street parking, plenty of $ 8 parking around AMBIANCE: Nice, big, clean Irish pub with high ceilings. Servers seem to be all girls in short plaid skirts and low-cut black tank tops. Bartenders in low-cut black tank tops and black short shorts. ALWAYS-A-PLUS: Purse hooks at the bar! Yay!

St. Patty’s Day celebration review– Alright, folks listen up! You are being warned. The celebration outside was cool. The music was nice and the beer was flowing. Me and my friends, however, opted to make a reservation for inside. It was a large group-17 people. We were told that the last time slot for reservations was 3PM. I quickly said okay and made the reservation. After all, it’s St. Patty’s! Who cares what time the party starts? ;) So we got there at 3PM. Everything was cool. They had three tables in the corner reserved for us which was very nice. We ordered food and ordered many drinks. At about 8PM though we were ready to move to another location and asked for the check. (*One thing I’d like to mention is that when we first sat down I asked for seperate checks for all of us to make the process easier and the server(Oskana) did not have a problem with that*) When my check came, I had two extra beers on my tab that I KNOW I did not order. My friend had one extra beer that she knows she did not order. And my other two friends(a couple) had about $ 50 worth on their bill that they had no idea where it came from. Real cute, trying to shaft us. NOT. I told Oskana that I was not going to pay for the extra two beer since I never consumed them. She took it off but I was still upset about the situation. She did it to several people in our group and I don’t think that was right. Moreover, the food was blah! I ordered chicken fingers and fries. I’ve had much better even @ Denny’s. I will not return. Sorry BIP.

Stopped by here on our school’s Irish Pub Run tonight. There was a live band playing some very non-Irish music, mostly old hits. The band was good, but the music was turned up so loud that it was hard to talk. Even screaming into each other’s ears wasn’t working. I’ve been here one other time when my parents come to Miami to visit. We had to rush through our meal and leave because a band started up and the noise was much too loud for them(and for us too). This might just be a Miami thing, but my ears are still off an hour after I left the bar. I feel like turning down the amps just a little would greatly improve the atmosphere. I noticed that this pub has a slightly older clientele compared to the other pubs in town. The dancing space is minimal, so most people were just standing next to tables and jamming. I had an okay time, but I wouldn’t choose to go back, and I would actively avoid returning if I knew a band was playing.

When I picture a pub, I imagine a small place that sits off the beaten path, a place with a certain kind of clientele: people looking to share a drink together after a maybe a long day, a long week, a long life, whatever; people looking to share their sometimes loneliness with one another; people who, after a while, get to know one another and maybe grow a little bit together or maybe even just stay stagnant together; people who want to have a beer that exists outside of the watered down light beer paradigm that so infuses the typical bar; people who want to be among friends, who want to listen to good music and stories, who want to get away and, as Billy Joel put it, «forget about life for a while.» Brickell Irish Pub embodies none of this. Truthfully, the sheer size of it and the vast number of people that pack in like lobsters waiting to get plucked from a supermarket aquarium totally precludes this place ever calling itself a pub. Getting a drink is like Moses wandering the desert for forty years, and if you ever do get to the bar, which seems way too small and is often woefully understaffed, it’ll take you another couple of minutes to actually yell out your order over the obscenely loud music(the same rock/hip hop mix they’ve been playing for years. You know, the one that starts with the riff from«Sweet Child O’ Mine,» feeds into«You Shook Me All Night Long,» and is somehow bastardized by «My Humps.») and another few to actually get it. I mean, there are so many better options in the Brickell area that are more worthy of the Pub label. Begrudgingly, I end up here every so often, but I’m never surprised: the place, time and again, just further reaffirms what I already know about it.

Happy Birthday fellow Unilocaler! I came by Friday night to celebrate the birthday of a good friend. Other than two Adele renditions(sowwwy guys Overplay from one of our radio stations have me disliking Adele’s music :(it was a very fun time! For starters, the door was pleasant and there wasn’t too much of a line. Few steps in, and I saw a bunch of familiar faces. The DJ jammed the usual hip hop open format tracks, until a live cover band came on the front stage. Good sounding and nice looking, the singer entertained us for a brief set. Other than the Adele song, the only dislike was the 18% automatic tip charged to the order. I wasn’t drinking anything other than iced tea and it was sweet. The chicken wings I ordered for myself and table mates were served hot and had a noticeable kick to them, although they seemed to be dry run and I prefer those soaked in sauce. Fries I mooched from someone were hot and didn’t tasters like grease. I certainly plan to come back!

This is a great place to go for a very full selection of beer. It is Irish themed and the servers are cute. The place is awesome for hanging out with the locals too. My friends took me here and because I have a gluten allergy, I got the Apple cider beer. My friend lives on a boat and made his own apple cider beer too. He was inspired by the apple cider beer served at Brickell. Brickell is a very cool place to hang out as it is a bit outside on Miami and offers tons of restaurants. If you want to get a feel for the place, go to the website. The pictures are pretty accurate. The place is all dark oak wood, with Irish décor. We sat at the bar. There were purse hooks, I remember under the bar table. We hung out, ate fries and pickles, took pictures, and talked with the bartenders.

I spent a lot of money here … and I’m still not quite sure how. Granted, the drinks aren’t cheap, but they do go down smooth. Hence the total bill, I’m sure. I love this place. While I’m generally a fan of more traditional Irish pubs, I was admittedly a total sucker for the cover band and kilts worn by the male staff. TOO entertaining. The drink selection is massive, and they have a really appealing menu, too. We tried a couple snacks — hummus was tasty, as were the french fries. I will say, it was LOUD, but it has an amazing energy and a totally fun vibe. It almost made me want to apply for a job here … how I miss cocktail waitressing. :) I’m sure I’ll be back, time and time again.

Why is it that I had never been here before??? Forget Fado, this is now my fave Irish pub! Went with a couple of friends last week and had a blast!!! Totally digging the big screen and the DJ! Drinks are fairly priced. but the highlight was def the live band!!! OMG! I instantly became a groupie! The lead singer was awesome, singing everything from Duran Duran to Mana and Juanes? what! I was in love! Thanks Irish Pub for the good times, I will def be back.

After attempting three different selections from their menu which they didn’t have available, I finally had to ask what served as an excuse for a table waiter exactly what they did have. They did have the Shepard Pie. It would have been good had it not taken over thirty minutes to get and then when it did come, it was cold. The inside is rather nifty looking, inviting and attractive. The outside seating is merely streetside. I found nothing redeeming about the food or the service that would ever give cause for my return.

Eh. That pretty much sums it up for Brickell Irish Pub. We walked away from our Brickell comfort zone because one of my friends said she loved it there. Maybe we went on the wrong night or something because I wasn’t crazy about this place. I can kind of see the appeal with the décor. Dark wood, bookcase with funky décor behind the band, waiters in kilts… I get it. You’re an Irish pub. Band was decent, but the drinks were expensive. My friend paid 7 bucks for a Miller Lite and I paid 12 for a bay breeze. I can get bigger, stronger drinks for cheaper prices at better places in Brickell… and we did later that night. They were so crowded that we could barely squeeze through the drunks to get to bar, and when we did, the bartenders weren’t attentive. I saw later that they automatically add gratuity, so my anti social bartender got a double tip from us. Fantastic. I guess it was a small price to pay to just sign the stupid tab and get the hell out of there.
